Great video Spinnerbait one of my top five lures Many times the first lure I toss Been tossing and catching decent bass with this confidence lure for over 30 years!!!!
I’m a spinnerbait freak, this is a bait that can be adjusted and modded out to the limits of your imagination and will truly catch the biggest tanks in the lake!! Great info thanks fellas!
Thanks guys. Really like spinnerbaits in the cold. Tell Randy thanks for using the nice shinny new examples, I have a few extra skirts if he needs them ( I know you can go without the skirt).
One of my favorite cold water rigs is a single Colorado blade 3/8 ounce. I like to remove the skirt and rig up a Berkley Chigger Craw. I have good results with a lift and drop retrieve.
Spinnerbaits are a great workhorse bait when it gets cold. I like to fish them along mud lines (where you can see a line separating chocolate milk water and cleaner water) and it works really well for me.
Everyone says cold water….can you put a temperature number on that? In spring I generally won’t pick up a spinnerbait til water is about 48. How cold of water will you throw a spinnerbait in winter??
This depends on the body of water you are fishing. Specifically it can come down to certain areas of the lake with the right conditions. Do not be afraid to throw it in the mid 40's. Thanks for watching!
Johnny I feel like your missing a huge part of your audience but not using Garmin fish finders. I’d love to buy a guide from you , hell, I’d buy two for my Garmin side scan and LVS 34 settings
He wanted me to let you know that he chose to not put footage of the spinnerbait catches in this video because it was on a local lake. The areas were on spots he fished with somebody else and out of respect for the angler he did not want to put the footage in the video. Thanks for watching!
This can depend on the body of water and the area of it. You can catch fish on it in water temps in the low 40s. If it is a shallower flat lake fish will still bite it in the upper 30's

@@BassFishingDeclassified what about smaller lake only 200 acres or so and depth is 45 ft or so. I've been having a lot of trouble lately trying everything from the bank. I've tried rip rap with jigs and jerk baits I've tried flats with swim jigs and a drop shot style rig I've tried the only spot where it drops from 0ft to about 35 right off the bank which is also a point. I haven't had a bite since week before Thanksgiving. Frustrated......
Great video

How cold of water will you throw a spinnerbait in winter??
As long as you can hear a splash my friend. In other words as long as it's not frozen

@@BassFishingDeclassified Haha that's kind of him, he is good. His segments are the most relevant to what I come here for.
He said thank you! We have another video this Wednesday featuring him
