That’s very similar to a recipe I learned to make as a teenager, except mine was made with canned mandarin oranges instead of fruit cocktail, and had chopped walnuts added. Either way, it’s quick and easy!

Oh yes! I grew up with this dessert, too. In the Midwest we also added shredded coconut. I loved any regional variation I've come across down through the years. Hope you had a lovely Easter weekend.
