AMD needs to do to FSR what Intel did to XeSS. Make it work on any GPU, but be enhanced through AI on their own hardware. I hope they go fo this direction on the next generation of GPUs.

@@notenjoying666 I actually prefer it in a lot of instances over fs1 or fsr2 because far can have a lot of image quality issues. Unstable edges, flickering, blurring, sparkling in small details and really bad aliasing. Some games handle far better than others but XESS is way more stable and I’ve not liked Intel for over a decade so don’t call me a fanboy. I use what I want and call it like I see it.
My itch to upgrade from RTX 3080 to 4080 has been relieved. No need to upgrade. THANK YOU, AMD.
Well, yes, DLSS still has better image quality than FSR, and it's natural, DLSS uses tensor cores and all of that, but the fact that FSR actually works on a lot of GPUs and FSR 3 Frame Gen puts out some pretty good results with decent latency (I tested it with my RX 6700 XT and RTX 3050), I can say I can ignore that shimmering and use FSR 3 Frame Gen, even tho I still think AMD needs to work on making its upscaler a little bit better.

Considering the fact that fsr 3 works on everything and you must pay for dlss, slight image quality deacrease with fsr is manageable.
No bro. FSR3 work well on rx 5700xt, all 6000, all 7000, and rtx 20, 30, 40. But require a minimum of 50/60 at least, or you will have so bad experience. This FSR3 FG is true garbage. Wake up
@@OmnianMIUThen nvidia fg is a true garbage too, because it require the same 50/60. Whats more, fsr fg on 7000 series with antilag+ have less inputlag than nvidia fg with reflex, and that was already tested and just exist as fact. Besides fsr fg can interpolate 2 frames, nvidia only 1, so basically when more games will support fsr fg nvidia fg will become a true shit of a paid software.

ignore the frametime graph, RTSS must be updated because it is bugged with FSR3 FG since it is new.
Frame time is super low with FSR3 and frame gen enabled, I'm on a 5950x and it drops mine for 7-9ms to 2-4ms while boosting FPS from 150 to 380-500 FPS

I believe it’s actually microstutter. That would explain the low 1% lows. The fps is not consistent and moving from 100+ down to the 50s in the 1% low. That bar is basically the range of FPS
I think AMD needs to work on shimmering that happens in Quality mode on far objects. Apart from that, it's perfect.

Upscaling and frame generations should be possible only for younger cards. Letting them work on high-end GPUs allows both Nvidia and AMD to let customers buy the same hardware spect with minimal adjustments and just improved software part that generates frames between already existing ones, it's not real productivity it's visualization of it.
I'm not saying that technology itself is bad, it's pretty fine, the way they exploit and sell it to people is bad.
You are beyond naive man. Why the fuck should a business stop making decisions that would benefit their shareholders.
If you really feel strongly about top end cards not having framegen then start up a company and produce GPUs, topple NVIDIA and implement your philosophy.

It seemed to be working brilliantly on the AMD card. It was only the 4090 that didn't always show improvement, and let's be honest: If you have a 4090, you can just use Nvidia's frame generation.
@@selohcin Even on 10 series nvidia it seemed to work fine (even though officially it isnt supported). This is the first video where I see such low 1% and 0,1% lows.

you need to know how to use the right settings for FSR 3 + framegeneration. you need specific settings and framecap to make it smooth and consistant frametime. you need to know your max FPS on native and your monitors refreshrate and then use vsyinc. if you have a 144hz monitor and your max fps is 50-60ish you need to cap your refreshrate to 48hz ( every third frame). then you go to AMD settings and cap the maximum FPS to 90FPS. you are welcome.

It looks similar to Fromsoftwares SSAO implementation which does the same thing, bright halos around the player character & some overlapping geometry.
Not really like any TAA ghosting.

Technically it works but it will have performance problems and since you need a high base framerate it probably won't be useful.
FSR3 doesn't make playable what was previously not, it makes smoother what was already playable.
It does run FG in Immortals of aveum

I have 30fps native on my 3080ti, with frame gen i have 60-70 but it feels like 20-25 sometime
