The car looks amazing. Casein Stewart built a 300zx with a RB26 swap.He handed the keys over to Marcus/ROADS UNTRAVELED. To see a functioning vehicle on the road speaks volumes!
Not making light of your build, because I think it is top notch. I just about spit up my drink in my mouth when you said you are still using the 2 piece drive shaft though. That was one of the first things I eliminated when going high HP. I mean, it obviously isn't necessary, just odd you did all those other customizations, but not the drive shaft. Sweet fucking build though. I love it. I wish I had the resources to do that when I had my Z.
I love what youve done with your Z. I have a '91 tt and am toying with the idea of swapping to a different power plant. Just not sure which way to go yet. Your project is my favorite so far. Im sure there are other great ones not on toutube yet. Congrats.
first of all, great build. mad respect for the time and passion you got in this build. not sure if this comment section is dead, but I was just curious on your suspension set up. I didn't hear you mention anything on it.
Haha I noticed. Just came across it today and was blown away. Can't get over it, it's amazing. I was going to redo the suspension on my 91 TT. And I'm just trying to gather as much info as I can before I make my decision. I heard bad things from powertrix, they rust quick. Keep in mind that was on the control arms and tie rods etc. Have you had any issues like that?
+Caramrodttz I have SPL arms and they have been great. There are a few cases of the Powertrix arms doing that, but the AMS Canada arms are worse. haven't had any issues with the coilovers. they are aluminum housing.
+Scott H yeah from what I have heard spl and z1 are among the better ones. I was hoping for a reasonable priced set, but it looks like I'm gonna have to spend a little more. thanks man for your time.
Great Job Scott this 300zx is one Top Z32. The only thing that I dont like is the halltech race pack, I know that thing is good but I perfer the normal speedometer,
Hey man awesome video! (that video camera really likes to warp the wheels at the end lol) How much clearance does your oil pan have with the crossmember? I had clearance issues. I think in part to that I reversed the transmission mount so it tucked back into the engine bay better.
Hi how are you? I like your z 32. I have a 1991 z twin turbo I'm building. My question where have adapter brackets for the front rear of brembo calipers
+Jose Salas Not 100% sure on the flywheel - I think you have to run the RB26 flywheel. I know for sure the clutches are the same, but I think the flywheel number of teeth are different.
Hey Scott I looked at it thx. CX racing makes a modified rb25 oil pan I was interested in getting but not sure if it will fit the 26. I know the only difference between the two are the location of the holes but not sure if it will work.
Hey quick question... I am in the middle of install my brake setup as well but seem to get caught on something. My question is, did you take off the 4 metal pieces that come on the brake pads to make it fit in your 18"?
+Scott H must be my wheels I.d then. The front clears but the calipers make contact with the wheel on the inside. Has made me shave my "acid green" calipers. I guess I will have to keep shaving bit by bit
+Scott H yea, Jacob said spacer are not needed in my case.... Just get a new set of wheels or keep shaving. So I will be at it. Will post the end product soon.
a vg can do the same thing as a 2jz....or rb25....etc.....i dont want a supra or gtr.....i want a vg 300zxtt.....and believe me....they get the job done
how much doest it cost to have a rb25 dropped into a z with the same setup you have for the rb26.. I'd like to drop an rb25 in my 2nd zip since the 1st is fully built vg
+millionair to be This swap ran me about $30,000 the first go around and as you see it for the update, it took another $50,000. So total into the swap and associated parts only I'm $80,000 into it. The car itself has over $100,000 into it.
a former shop I had work on my cars dropped an RB26DETT with RB25 tranny into a 350z for $10k minus the cost of the engine itself. The $10k covered custom mounts, the labor and rewiring the harness, relocation of several components, ect.
Migitdie Top Aces 3000$ minimum for an engine, then every paycheck for the next few years your going to be dumping into the car, up to 10 grand or so. There really is no "How to" "step by step" guide. You can start out by checking out Rbz32.com, here's a swap kit mckinneymotorsports.com/prod_300zx+RB+SWAP I pretty much had to figure out everything on my own, get my own tools and such. I can help out with the harness, that was a good 3 months of figuring out a wiring diagram. No way I was able to afford to pay a shop to do it. Good luck!
Exactly. What Aaron said. This swap took YEARS to do, and a few more years to work the bugs out of it. Initially was close to $30,000 with about 85% of the labor my own. Today, there is closer to $100,000 into it over the last 6-7 years during the swap.
The car looks amazing. Casein Stewart built a 300zx with a RB26 swap.He handed the keys over to Marcus/ROADS UNTRAVELED. To see a functioning vehicle on the road speaks volumes!
What an amazing build, the customization on this is nuts! One of a kind 300ZX
+Randy Urbina That's what I was going for. Thank you!
Awesome swap! I had heard of a VH45DE possibility in the Z32, which would be insane. Props on this Z!
thanks!!
Great video. Really impressed with the level of detail gone into this. I am really digging the white paint. Great work!
man amazing job high quality build I love it man the ultimate Z
Wow very clean! Nice job man you should be proud of yourself for sure.
thanks!!

Damn....🚀 nice ride love all the custom work!
My dream car... I am actually jealous lol! Absolutely amazing build man! Subscribed!
+EXTREME SCALE PERFORMANCE RC Thanks man. I'm working on some new videos.
The RB swap is nice and all, but im more impressed that you actually have your pin stripes on the car
+MoonMan That was a way bigger ordeal than it needed to be too. Haha
I love what youve done with your Z. I have a '91 tt and am toying with the idea of swapping to a different power plant. Just not sure which way to go yet. Your project is my favorite so far. Im sure there are other great ones not on toutube yet. Congrats.
Damn man my respect to you man for such a proper build!!
Thanks! Many years of hard work in it.
Great looking Z. Proper build. I definitely want to look into your brake setup for my Z.
+MrChrisRenz Search Facebook for the group "Brembo SRT8 Conversions" the guy that makes the adaptors for the Porsche brakes owns that group.
+Scott H Thank you, I will definitely check it out.
It's so beautiful...
Thank you.

yeah definitely a good price
first of all, great build. mad respect for the time and passion you got in this build. not sure if this comment section is dead, but I was just curious on your suspension set up. I didn't hear you mention anything on it.
Not dead. just slow LOL.
Powertrix SS UK coilovers with Swift Springs. adjustable arms everywhere.
Haha I noticed. Just came across it today and was blown away. Can't get over it, it's amazing. I was going to redo the suspension on my 91 TT. Great Job Scott this 300zx is one Top Z32. The only thing that I dont like is the halltech race pack, I know that thing is good but I perfer the normal speedometer,
I may be using both eventually.

Just been on thatdudeinblues vid and wandered over here......I'm not a Z person but f@#king hell that's a beaut' kudos sir
Hey man awesome video! (that video camera really likes to warp the wheels at the end lol)
How much clearance does your oil pan have with the crossmember? I had clearance issues. I think in part to that I reversed the transmission mount so it tucked back into the engine bay better.
Great job man keep it up. Where are about texas scott I'm in the west texas area with an r32 fully built like this one.
6"7" how on earth do you fit in the car? I'm only 6'3" and it's tight for me.
Sweet car! What size rotors are you running on front and rear?
+flowgoode 370z sport model rotors front and rear.
Wish I had a buddy with lift in his garage.
Where did you buy your sway bars and the the mini z car and what did you use for you front sway bar
What type of brake pads would you use if you were road race I have a 300ZX and I want to put this type of brake setup on my car
you rock didn't know that thx
Sweet build! Is that your red terminator in the back there??
Engine swaps feel so dirty but this is a beautiful build
Hi how are you? I like your z 32. I have a 1991 z twin turbo I'm building. My question where have adapter brackets for the front rear of brembo calipers
from were you buy the adapters for the calibers
if you ever sell this Scott PLEASE please let me know first, my dream car since I was 10!
amazing z you have there, what kind of nose panel is that? I want to do away with the stillen
Who made that removable crossmember
Turn that oil cooler right side up, my man you have it the wrong way beside that tho the car is sick ass fuck.
hey Scott i am wanting to do the same thing to my z but there is no one willing to do the swap for me i need to be pointed to the right direction
how much would a engine cost me like yours I want mine to push 550 hp or close
@Scott H can you use the same flywheel from the 300zx non turbo with the rb26dett bell housing?
I am doing this swap now and having trouble finding a sway bar. Do you have the company that you got the custom one done. Thank you
Speed and Sound STL is who made mine. They had a racecar shop somewhere up north make it.
When you remove the front diff and tube does that add more area for oil and would you add that extra oil or not?
I would think it would add a little bit. Not sure on the exact amount.
Would you have been able to do it with AWD? Or just RWD?
Richard Race AWD possible but a massive amount of fabrication would be needed
How much did that howe radiator run you? What are the dimensions if you know them by any chance?
+Sergio Serrano They custom made it for me, but it is a Howe core that was ordered that Howe already makes, and then the end tanks added.
what adapters did you use?
and will the same adapter work on z31 model?
do you plan on doing any cosmetic upgrades?
you put those z1 hatch struts on yet? you will get a good workout with them lol!
Not yet LOL
hey how much does a swap and build like that cost?
Jared Herrin over the past decade there is in excess of $100k into it... including suspension/wheels/brakes.
Scott H 😲
Atleast it's still a Nissan heart
@Scott Hola hey broo will the 300zx non turbo flywheel work with the rb26dett transmission since you can use the same clutch?
+Jose Salas Not 100% sure on the flywheel - I think you have to run the RB26 flywheel. I know for sure the clutches are the same, but I think the flywheel number of teeth are different.
what power you are making with the 366 and what fuel?
Hi Ok since you modified the oil pan did you still have to modify the cross member?
Yes. look at my older walkthrough video. it shows the modification.
Hey Scott I looked at it thx. CX racing makes a modified rb25 oil pan I was interested in getting but not sure if it will fit the 26. I know the only difference between the two are the location of the holes but not sure if it will work.
+Joe Jackson RB26 block is drilled for 25 and 26 oil pan.
Hey quick question... I am in the middle of install my brake setup as well but seem to get caught on something. My question is, did you take off the 4 metal pieces that come on the brake pads to make it fit in your 18"?
Nope. Everything is installed as it came.
+Scott H must be my wheels I.d then. The front clears but the calipers make contact with the wheel on the inside. Has made me shave my "acid green" calipers. I guess I will have to keep shaving bit by bit
+chris kahn I'm guessing so. didn't need any trimming or spacers to work on mine.
+Scott H yea, Jacob said spacer are not needed in my case.... Just get a new set of wheels or keep shaving. So I will be at it. Will post the end product soon.
+chris kahn Cool. hope it works out!
Hey Scott I heard you might be parting this car out. I’m doing the same set and would be very interested in anything you would be getting rid of
drew nash No sir. It has been sold though!
You have paddle shifters?
Do you have a full build spec of your car bro
clutch fork use ? pull rb 26 or push ??
Living in texas... Does it have AC?
Hey man, how much roughly has this all cost?
+Bryanjd In the area of $80,000
Where is the car battery located?
Probably in rear where it belongs.
a vg can do the same thing as a 2jz....or rb25....etc.....i dont want a supra or gtr.....i want a vg 300zxtt.....and believe me....they get the job done
how much doest it cost to have a rb25 dropped into a z with the same setup you have for the rb26.. I'd like to drop an rb25 in my 2nd zip since the 1st is fully built vg
+millionair to be Tens of thousands easily.
+Scott H a specific number please
+millionair to be This swap ran me about $30,000 the first go around and as you see it for the update, it took another $50,000. So total into the swap and associated parts only I'm $80,000 into it. The car itself has over $100,000 into it.
+Scott H not too bad. I was told by a tuner shop I'd be covered in 40k
a former shop I had work on my cars dropped an RB26DETT with RB25 tranny into a 350z for $10k minus the cost of the engine itself. The $10k covered custom mounts, the labor and rewiring the harness, relocation of several components, ect.
