    I have this same problem on a 2003 Forrester. The solenoid was cycling like crazy making a nasty buzzing noise. CEL on, Transmission Temperature Light flashing. Removed the pan, replaced the solenoid, noise went away, CEL didn't TTL still flashing. I removed the pan again and found this video. Both the new and old solenoids ohm out at 3.6 Ohms. I'm kinda at a loss.

      If the light is flashing, have it scanned for codes

    I didn't change the atf fluid of the my automatic transmission yet because i didn't have time for this.I may have forgot to change the atf fluid every 30k miles.That was negligence on my part.I don't know anyone here in Los Angeles that's specializing in automatic transmission.

    i got this code reading with my car today, mechanic recommend solenoid valve replacement and atf flushing? my car have shift delay response and jerks a lot when shifting gears like from D to R or N to R. the R gear has the hardest jerk

    • @GaryFerraro

      What kind of car do you have?

    • @airsoftfreaks1000
      @airsoftfreaks1000 11 месяцев назад

      That would make sense. The shift solenoids help direct fluid to make the shifts. They are designed to have high pressure in case of a failure so the shifts will be hard until the solenoid is fixed.

    Wow a not a full rebuild video from Gary, I didn't know those existed😊... quick question Gary, which bushing kit do you prefer for 6HP, sonnex, omega or durabond? Also I remember you saying you only use Zf frictions not Raybestos or any other brand is that correct?

    • @GaryFerraro
      @GaryFerraro  2 года назад

      I like durabond, if i can't get then sonnax, yes i like to use ZF frictions

    Hi Gary.My wife's car is a 2009 Land Rover LR3 equipped with the zf6hp26 automatic transmission.She should change the atf fluid but she forgot to change it every 30k miles because of that the automatic transmission broke.So i hope you don't mind if i ask you how much do you charge to make the diagnose? There isn't any ABS,electronic fuel inject or body failure that interferes in the automatic transmission's operation.

    • @GaryFerraro
      @GaryFerraro  2 года назад

      Now a days if you have a speed sensor code it very well could effect the way the transmission operates, Are there any codes?
