This whole system is stupid af. To top it off, we have barely any bank space to store things. =.=

I have a question that I haven’t seen anyone ask or answer. I’m currently level 50 and I have a few pieces of legendary gear that I really like the aspect for as it would work perfect with the build I’m going for. My question is: when should I be engaging in the imprinting stuff. My biggest concern is I extract and imprint on a piece of gear and then 10 minutes later I find something better.
If your level 50, and the piece of gear isn't leveled up at all, its a safe assumption that once you upgrade it youll be carrying that gear for a while. Id say its worth it at that point.

@@KewlKittyProductions well that makes sense for level requirements, but the item power through me. It doesn't look like it acts as a cap, so 400 item level aspect can still go on a 700 item level piece of gear and turn into a item level 700 legendary. I assume it's there for those aspects that do scale up or down with overall power, like for damage procs. I need to do a bit more experimentation to see if it's a real important number or if it's like the rest of item power, which is really just a guide for how strong it is

@@tylerle1730 More times than not. You'll want to make sure it can go on the gear you're most willing to part with (obviously same gear type makes things way easier). Great video, thanks for putting this together. Kind of specific question: my codex of power aspect (overcharged, Druid) is at the bottom of the range when I preview it on items (up to 10% chance, tool tip range shows 10-20% possible). Is that permanent bad luck or does that change at some point?
I had a piece of gear that had an [11-20]% possibility but was sitting at 24% in the original gear. When I extracted the aspect it went down to 12% Additionally when I go to add an aspect from the codex onto a piece of gear, why is at the bottom of the range? Does it not get rolled? What's going on???
I imprinted a random rare with a decent aspect before finding this video...I found out the hard way that you can't keep the aspect as you keep upgrading gear
So if I extract a legendary aspect and put it on another piece of gear can I extract it again? Also I think you can put aspects on legendary pieces of gear if that's the case do they then have two aspects?
it seems like there are tiers to the aspect rolls. idk if its a visual bug but sometimes it says the roll is say 15-30 but my roll is 10. this is on an item that is not in the 2H or Ammy slot.
Wait so the dungeon aspects are like okay for leveling 1-50 by default it’s better than nothing. But when you progress the same aspect dropped on legendaries or anything else are just better stats and you want imprinted?
Sorry if I missed this. But when putting an aspect on let’s say a rare piece of gear, making it legendary. Can I then again remove the aspect from this piece of gear and place it on a new “better” item I’ve found?
@@austinearly- I would salvage unwanted legendaries as they give rare materials needed for imprinting at higher levels, money is easy to come by by selling other unneeded gear.
Couple questions if you don't mind... 1. Say i extract a legendary aspect, and imprint it on a rare to make "legendary X". Can I then extract that same aspect from "legendary x" again to imprint it on a higher stat rare and make a "legendary Y"? 2. At the end of the video, are you saying the aspects you get on legionaries pre level 50 can not be put onto rares you get past level 50? So if I get something while leveling and I'm unsure if it's used in an endgame build there is no point in keeping it in my stash at all? Thanks so much! I'm at working and thinking about nothing but diablo so I watch videos like this to learn more for when I have time to play lol :)
Hey thank you :) So the imprinting is a one time thing. A legendary that’s been imprinted can’t them be extracted. And gear works a little differently after 50 and 70. Those gears basically have a near quality and have better rolls, so you won’t need your earlier legendaries
@@MedievalMarty This has got to be the shittiest part of Diablo 4, and its likely the number one thing that's going to make me quit by maybe the second season. *No one* wants to refarm a build defining legendary to extract its Aspect to then imprint on your shiny new weapon that has 5 affixes.
Are you supposed to extract and imprint them into your gear as you level an alt? Is it better to just wait until you’re imprinting your aspect into a better piece of gear since they’re only one time use? I’ve yet to find a way to “un-imprint” the gear so I’m always hesitant to apply them since it could potentially be a total waste
hello, i m playing first character ever in season 5. do the aspects in my codex get consumed when i apply them or do i keep the aspects from the codex to keep putting on different gears? ty
I have a piece of gear with a great aspect I want to extract but when I look at the preview it offers me only half the percentage range of the gear . That is to say the armour has an aspect in the 30-50% range but if i extract it i'll only get 10-25% range. This sucks, all the other gear I preview is 1:1 although all other gear I have offer well under 50% to begin with, but that's why I want that aspect!.. It's like the game realises the roll of up to 50% was too good.
That is happening because you are extracting an aspect from an amulet or 2-hand weapon. Amulets give 50% bonus to aspect. 2-hand weapons give 100% bonus to aspects.
what if I've extracted aspect from the ring, and now trying to imported it to a weapon. but it said, that I can't do it.. shockwave :( any ideas why and how to fix?
Can I reuse that aspect I extracted more then once or say extract it again the future for stronger armor?? Also can I level up a piece of gear I want to extract in the future and still be able to extract it if it’s leveled up???
I noticed that natural legendary drops have 4 stats plus an aspect and rare items with aspects placed on them (also legendary) only has 3 stats plus the aspect.
I noticed aspects have diferent "power" and level. I was removing aspects from legendary gear from the early on. Should i just sell those aspects since they lower level hence notgood or? Coz people told me they regret not geting aspects early on. But seems like those aspects are weaker even if they have better rolls or am i wrong?
Looking at armor, at a glance, is there a way to tell if said aspect on that gear is lootable from codex of power/dungeons or if it’s only a rng drop? It’s driving me nuts not knowing this information and having to constantly google shit or look through the codex of power to find my answer.
so I have two pieces of rings 1 gives me basic skill attack speed by increase by 23% and extracts into 23%. But the other ring that gives me basic skill attack speed increase by 44% but if I try and extract that it only gives me 22%? Why does one get halfed and one does not. 44% ring is 691 item power and 23% of 643 item power. Can you explain this? im a bit confused.
If anyone can help: I have a mace with 84% of Lucky Hit, which I figure has got to be an extremely lucky roll. But when I go to extract that aspect, the preview shows the aspect halved at just 42%. I haven’t seen that mentioned as a byproduct of extracting anywhere, is that supposed to happen?
Aspects have % power increase depending on the item slot you imprint them on, go in your aspect tab inside your bag and check the tooltip of that aspect, it should show you which slots get a % power increase
Ohhkay, I saw in the preview that it would be 50% if applied to armor and 100% if applied to a two-handed weapon, so I guess it was just displaying the 50% instance. If so that puts my mind at ease to extract it, thank you very much!
So I have a legendary that heals me for 20 life up to 100 per enemy around. The game will let me extract that power, but then I don't see an option to put it on gear anywhere in my barbs options. How does that work?
If i have an aspect unlocked, then put that aspect onto a staff. What happens if I extract that aspect that I already have off the item I placed the aspect on to?
@@KewlKittyProductions Yeah i figured that out. But I keep finding legendaries and extracting their aspects and not getting anything out of it.. is it bugged?
So whats the deal with this. I got a really good aspect from a random drop. Ive used it to re roll another item later in game as i was Leveling. Now i cant exteact it again. So is there a cap to how many times you can do this for the random item drop aspects or ?
one question. i got the best aspect (bladedancer's aspect) for my rogue at lvl 25 should i use it now? or should i keep it for better gear when im high lvl? aspects have 1 time use? if u farm it from dungeon?
Thx Mate for the vid. Got So much info. I got one question. Im near 50 and hoarded all legendarys since the Start to extract aspects in the Future. Tho it sounds like the better items you get after 50 make These i Have worthless. So there is no reason for me to extract the aspects. Am I right with that asumption?
thank you! From what I've seen: The items over 50 are all classed as "sacred", and say if an item had "10-20%" chance to deal damage. The sacred version might have "20-30%. You could hold onto the legendries until you get the sacred version, or just use them until you find something better. Its small differences, you can probably power from lvl 50-70 with the ones you saved :)
I feel like I never have enough Materials to keep up with imprinting my gear as I level, to make these build work, as I always find better gear every dungeon
This information is redundant as the updates to the aspect system has changed everything. Please make an updated video when you have the chance. I like the way you have explained this.
Yes blizzard has higher priority on lowest quality rolls, definitely do not do this in the early to mid game, ideally 50+ so basically blizzard is giving you a higher chance to roll a lower aspect. Why? No idea but that's happening right now. Along with a bug that will destory your item and not give aspect. I'm running RNG atm still able to do nightmare as a summonor necro. Tldr aspects roll lower at higher chance than same or higher quality. Not sure if intended
You can imprint Tier 1 Normal aspects to Tier 4 Ancestral weapons. Please don't confuse the playerbase- this was one of the first videos in RUclips search results so it's very concerning to see misinformation. There's video proof of someone doing it for those sketical- and you can easily see yourself later on. TLDR: Hoard good aspect rolls as soon as you can, video is not accurate.
Yo this guide is awesome, tysm. To a new player this is so helpful, simplified no 5 min talk about percentages and then to not make sense at the end 😂. Why do people keep calling it gambling with Obels considering its the only thing you can buy with Obels? I still win. I get stuff that I can break down for its aspect or sell... its a win win 😅
Really lame extraction doesn't grant transmog. Found a sweet looking hooded snake mask helm for my rogue. But it also grants 33% chance of stunning vulnerable enemies for 2 seconds, which could also be useful. But I really want the transmog. Lame
the fact you cant extract the aspect from the items you sloted to a better weapon is absolute bullshit, and more proof blizzard design team is out of their god damn minds, when i found this out i couldnt believe it,so i had the best aspect on my wep, huge dmg,and its just GONE if i use a better wep
no wonder the ARPG scene is so dead. people just google the best builds, play someone else's playstyle (skipping the hard part that requires you to learn your class) until they are bored. sad

Wondering the same thing. I swear I heard that an extracted aspect can only be imprinted once but I haven’t been able to corroborate it.
Same question :)
So if I imprint an aspect (not one gotten from clearing dungeon/from codex) on an item, that aspect can't be extracted again?? Sheeeit
it seems like there are tiers to the aspect rolls. idk if its a visual bug but sometimes it says the roll is say 15-30 but my roll is 10. this is on an item that is not in the 2H or Ammy slot.
Nope they’re a one time use, sorry if I missed that!
What’s the strategy then? Sell or salvage the legendary? Are those the only two options?
@@austinearly- I would salvage unwanted legendaries as they give rare materials needed for imprinting at higher levels, money is easy to come by by selling other unneeded gear.
@@xNightxxWingx good thinking. Thanks!
great video! well made and very helpful
Hey thank you :)
So the imprinting is a one time thing.
@@j.clopein 100% for a 2-hand weapon sounds like it should be 1:1.
what if I've extracted aspect from the ring, and now trying to imported it to a weapon. but it said, that I can't do it.. shockwave :( any ideas why and how to fix?
Certain aspects can only go into certain things. If you hover over the aspect it should tell you what it can go into.
You can only use aspects from gear once correct? But if i find another legendary with the same aspect can i use it again or not?
Aspect which has been exctracted keep the same value or does it reroll randomly?
Wish i knew this 50 hours ago. lol. thanks for the vid. this game throws so much at you, my head hurts.
Great video it helped me alot ,keep up the good work
I was hoping you'd get a re-roll when you extract the gear, that's a bummer.
What happens if I extract that aspect that I already have off the item I placed the aspect on to?
you can't
@@KewlKittyProductions Yeah i figured that out. But I keep finding legendaries and extracting their aspects and not getting anything out of it.. is it bugged?
@@DubstopherWubson13 open character screen and go to aspects, they go in there
@@KewlKittyProductions Yeah i've checked. I've done this to like 5 legendaries and the aspects dont show in the book, i've checked all the tabs.
@@DubstopherWubson13 they don't show in the book because you can only use them once...they are placed in your inventory in the aspects tab
So whats the deal with this.
I got a really good aspect from a random drop. Ive used it to re roll another item later in game as i was Leveling. Now i cant exteact it again.
So is there a cap to how many times you can do this for the random item drop aspects or ?
Can you get aspects back from gear you have imprinted ?
when you put an extracted aspect into a bit of gear does it reroll % or does it stay the same?
Can you imprint an item with another better imprint?
thank you for the video mate
Is codex aspect a "One time use"?
one question. i got the best aspect (bladedancer's aspect) for my rogue at lvl 25 should i use it now? or should i keep it for better gear when im high lvl? aspects have 1 time use? if u farm it from dungeon?
Anything inside of your codex has more then a 1 time use
@@trecaneckflawless7573 thanks!
Using a storm druid build. Pretty fun. No shapeshifting at all.
Same bruv 😎
Thanks for watching the video! Let me know if there are any other systems or features that would help in a video like this? Endgame/Gearing/Stats etc
Once an item has been imprinted can I re-extract it?
Unfortunately no, you can not
Ive extracted some aspects and theyve become weaker. Is that normal?
Also Im playing sorc too just hit 25 im going for a hybrid build tho. Not sure if its gonna pay off. I main chain lightning, frost nova, firewall, teleport and ball lightning [unsure on that atm] hopefully it pays off 😂😂
how bout salvagin an legend item?
Thanks I'm level 32 and it suddenly clicked that a) I ain't got a horse and b) what is an aspect and c) I can use the codex page to pin a codex aaahhh thanks man
big help ty
Thanks man !!
Rogue is insane deletes bosses while taking them but not as boring as the necromancer
You van upgrade aspect before you inprint them.
Why do people keep calling it gambling with Obels considering its the only thing you can buy with Obels? I still win. I get stuff that I can break down for its aspect or sell... its a win win 😅
Marty.... its been 40 years.... its time to go outside. Your family misses you.
panik
Really lame extraction doesn't grant transmog. Found a sweet looking hooded snake mask helm for my rogue. But it also grants 33% chance of stunning vulnerable enemies for 2 seconds, which could also be useful. But I really want the transmog. Lame
Do aspects stack.
the fact you cant extract the aspect from the items you sloted to a better weapon is absolute bullshit, and more proof blizzard design team is out of their god damn minds, when i found this out i couldnt believe it,so i had the best aspect on my wep, huge dmg,and its just GONE if i use a better wep
Bro so fast I had to 0.25
no wonder the ARPG scene is so dead. people just google the best builds, play someone else's playstyle (skipping the hard part that requires you to learn your class) until they are bored. sad
Diablo 4 is garbage 🗑
Anyone knows if the aspects from dungeons can get a better roll?
I believe the ones you get from dungeons are just basic aspects that live in your codex.
@@blakewilson3002 oh damn... that sucks
