Like Sergio said below, both sides are solid and offer different and similar finishes. If I had his leg on the same side (in my left armpit rather cross armpit) it wouldn't be wrong but I am always skeptical about any type of guard jumps, flying triangles, or them making their way around to your back. When you have the leg in the cross armpit (like in the video) it takes away all that.

Is it better to control their leg with your inside (right) arm like you show here or is the outside or left arm okay too ?
both sides are usefull, only change the way you can finish the takdown.
