    Great video. Really enjoyed watching that. It’s awesome to hear a real world example where the redundant receiver had worked and works well.
    With regards to the telemetry. ACCST you can only run the telemetry from the master receiver. All the slave receivers can’t use it. The exception being using a redundancy box, like an RB30. With TANDEM and ACCESS, regardless of frequency, all the receivers can have telemetry on.
    Thanks for the mention. It’s great to hear that the videos have helped people out. Keep up the good work and hope you have plenty of amazing flights.

    Great video. Why not just use a Tandem receiver? I have the TD R10. Still learning about FrSky/Ethos. I’m very new to FrSky myself. Coming from Spektrum and Futaba. Darren aka Mr.D IS a great RUclipsr to learn from. He is full of Information. An awesome guy! He truly responds swiftly to any questions you may have about FrSky and Ethos systems. 👍👍👍

      The Tandem receivers are nice. Although not really redundant. They ARE easier to set up than this but I wanted to show this because there's not a lot of info out there on how to setup a 900mhz receiver and bind both of them to the X20S. You are correct though, they both achieve the same outcome. Thanx for the comment 👍

      Some of the Spektrum "SAFE" systems are waaay to complicated. Even for someone with experience. Its hard to tell when safe is off or on, you gotta bind it a certain way. If a new person becomes dependent on SAFE then they will be in for a rude awakening when they fly their first "non-assisted" aircraft.

      Make sure your RSSI settings are set correctly. I had to adjust mine down a bit when I read this in the Ethos manual..
      "ACCESS
      The default alarms for ACCESS are 35 for 'RSSI Low' and 32 for 'RSSI Critical'.
      Loss of control will happen when the RSSI drops to around 28"

    • @ChunkyC_RC
      @ChunkyC_RC  Год назад +2

      Also, RSSI and VFR are 2 different things that kinda do the same thing (if that makes sense). According to Ethos manual there are no alarms for VFR unless you have set one up through a logical switch. Thanx for the comment...
      "VFR%
      Prior to ACCESS V2.1, RSSI was based on a combination of received signal strength
      and lost frame rate. Lost frames have now been removed from the RSSI
      calculation, and added as a new sensor VFR% (Valid Frame Rate) to provide a
      measure of Link Quality. At this stage there is no built in alert for VFR%, but you
      can easily set one up as follows:
      a) Set a Logical Switch to become True when VFR drops below say 80% (please
      refer to the Logic Switches section):"

      Thanks. Say that setting is in a widget for rx/ options/telemetry/values/Rssi/ then I think the adjustment is there. ? Ahh yea ? It makes sense. I feel I would have better 2.4 if the antenna wires were just a bit longer to deal with a carbon airplane. That’s my issue mostly I feel. I’m learning allot. Do you know of a good tutorial on setting up dual elevator service to get them to sync. Perfect ? Or multi servos like on a wing same thing I’m using a mix but I’m just still having issues trying to get it right I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. This is a very common thing that people need with RC. I’m surprised it have a canned program that balances the service out everybody else does, and that’s one big reason why I might go back unless I figure out how to do it simply.
      Thanks in advance

      Sorry I just saw this message. There's a lot of videos for servo matching. As for a carbon airframe, remember to keep the uncovered end of the antenna well away from carbon fiber. Also, keep antennas in a 90 degree orientation and as far apart as possible. If your plane airframe is completely solid (or close to it) made of CF, then you have DEFINITELY GOTTA GET THE ANTENNA'S OUTSIDE OF THE FUSELAGE. Keep me posted and thanx for the question.

    • @ChunkyC_RC

      Only way I can think of is s-bus programmable servos. you can set match end points and centers but you may still need to dabble a bit with a curve or 2.

      People who fly precision aircraft with dual elevators or multiple wing servers need balance options. It’s the biggest selling point for like spectrum, Vitara and Jeti they’ll have a balance function. That’s basically a curve set up, but it’s graphically shown on the screen and just drag it up and down and that makes the server follow points that you mark and you just compared to the other servo. If ethos wants to be a trapping system, they’re gonna need to put that in there that’s if they want people with nice airplanes defuse it.

    Can you run two 2.4ghz receivers in the piggy back situation?, I know the variables are crazy for what I was asking but almost possible. I don't run expensive controls or receivers.

      Ethos has come a long way. Firmware updates are much easier now that they have Ethos Suite. As for EdgeTX, if your not proficient at managing file transfer from PC hard drive to SD cards, your gonna have a hard time.

      If failsafe kicked in, then it sounds like you actualy had a signal loss. I would pay close attention to your receiver and radio antennas positions and do an extended range check while at the same time, having someone rotate the plane in all different directions.

    Would this work on a TX16S?

    • @ChunkyC_RC
      @ChunkyC_RC  Год назад +1

      You can bind 2 receivers to a TX16S, but I haven't tried binding 2 FrSky receivers by way of an S-Buss link to a Radio master. See video links below. You can run 2 receivers off the radiomaster and split the airplane controls between them. Thanx for the question. I'm curios to see what the outcome is. Maybe this is something I need to investigate and do a video on.

      Actually, upon second thought, it won't work for the new FrSky ACCESS protocol. TX16S won't do ACCESS. It may work for older D16 stuff if the receivers have S-Bus in and out ports.
