Yeah, I was just like that, "Not really my style...." and 5 tracks later, I purchased all their albums. Try "Drop dead cynical", "Digital world", "Boom!1", "Hunger", "Helix", and "The Nexus" for starters.
One of my all time favorite bands, for a classic favorite “The Nexus” is awesome and a newer one that’s really awesome with most recent lineup of the band is “Archangel”
Whoa...you haven't heard this band yet? You're in for quite the treat, if you pursue the Amaranthe rabbit-hole. Go ahead and check out songs like Digital World, Maximize, GG6, BOOM!, and Helix. They also did a cover of Sabaton's song 82nd All The Way, about the most decorated World War I soldier from the US, Sgt. Alvin York.
@@isaiahwelch8066 Some might wanna do that... I'd like to be her, killing zombies... 😄 But, hey, don't spoil too much for those who havent seen the video yet... 😉
I like to call this band EuroPop Metal. This is one of their ballad songs. You need to check out their songs, Boom1!, Archangel, 82nd All the Way (a cover of a Sabaton song) and Do or Die. They are much harder in those songs.
Amaranthe is from Sweden. The band is known for having three singers. This song is from their first album, released in 2011. A decade ago! They have six studio albums as of today, their most recent of which is called Manifest and it released last year. They actually just recently released a new single called "PvP", which is the official anthem song for the national Sweden video game and e-sports community. They have so many great songs that I'll recommend below, but first, here's some info on the band's lineup and members: Current Lineup: - Elize Ryd: female vocals (2011-present; an original member and the founder of the group) - Nils Molin: clean male vocals (2016-present; replaced former clean male vocalist Jake E. Lundberg) - Henrik Englund Wilhelmsson: harsh male vocals (2014-present; he's known as GG6 on stage and replaced former harsh male vocalist Andreas Solvestrom) - Olof Morck: guitars and keys (2011-present; an original member) - Morten Lowe Sorensen: drummer (2011-present; an original member) - Johan Andreassen: bassist (2011-present; an original member) In this song, you heard and saw the original clean male vocalist, Jake E. Lundberg and the original harsh male vocalist, Andreas Solvestrom. The first two albums have Andreas Solvestrom, while the third album going forward will have Henrik aka GG6. The first four albums have Jake E. Lundberg, while the fifth and sixth albums will have Nils Molin. Now here are some songs from each album to check out! "Hunger" from their self-titled debut album, Amaranthe (2011) "The Nexus" from their second album, The Nexus (2013) "Invincible" from their second album, The Nexus (2013) "Digital World" from their third album, Massive Addictive (2014) "Drop Dead Cynical" from their third album, Massive Addictive (2014) "Boomerang" from their fourth album, Maximalism (2016) "Maximize" from their fourth album, Maximalism (2016) "365" from their fifth album, Helix (2018) "GG6" from their fifth album, Helix (2018) "Archangel" from their sixth album, Manifest (2020) "BOOM!1" from their sixth album, Manifest (2020) "Do or Die" a special stand-alone single featuring Angela Gossow, the former frontwoman of Arch Enemy (she's Amaranthe's manager) (2020) Thanks for checking out Amaranthe! I hope you react to more!
Yeah, the band is really a bit pop in some places, but they also have harder songs. AND: Elize Ryd is one of the most beautiful, talented, nice Lady in the World. Look this wonderful song: Stjärnan i min hand. Absolute gorgeous, fantastic song.
A roller coaster ride for sure. Overall I enjoyed it very much. I would like to hear something where they all sing the same thing, each in their own style, but at the same time, just to see if it would work.
They are a good band.I would suggest going up to some of their more current stuff. Like Boom! or gg6. The female vocal is still there but they have 2 new singers. Now She actually does come from a metal band. Fun fact she actually sung for nightwish during a concert when they got rid of their old singer. You can see videos on youtube of her doing the set. Her band was on tour with nightwish. But she did most of the Nightwish set since they didnt have a singer. But its a fun song it was the first song this band did years ago. The band is like a all star lineup of people from other bands coming together.
@@BreakdownMediaYT Gg6 is the introduction of their new screaming vocals guy (named Gg6). But it rocks. Boom! is sorta like that song you reviewed. But with blood and zombies and swords and guns and explosions. Its fun :) If you know nightwish. You know the singer got sick and didnt make that show. Nightwish asked this lady to sing. She didnt even know the words or set to some songs. She was actually holding the lyrics and song sets in her hand while singing them. The fans understood and where very excepting of the change. That led to her forming Ameranthe and Nightwish went on to get current singer Floor Jansen. Just a little backstory.

Love Amaranthe. Such a unique sound. This song is a good showcase of the range of the band but I think you'll find much more to like about the other songs they have :) As for other unique sounds out of Sweden, Sabaton is an obvious choice but Machinae Supremacy is my nr1 pick. Such and underrated band and will definitely pluck at you gamer strings ;) they use a C64 synth in a lot of their songs and most songs are gaming/anime/internet/cyberpunk/sci-fi themed :) they've even scored a few indie games!
@@BreakdownMediaYT seriously, MaSu are amazing. They've done a Wolfenstein track with Dan Bull, played Final Fantasy with a symphonic orchestra (Stockholm gig of Play! A video game symphony), held a small metal festival for Pirate Bay's 10th birthday, played at Assembly (Finland's Dreamhack) and released official music videos that are AMVs :p They released a track called Pendulum a month or two ago. Check it out!
@@BreakdownMediaYT Just so you know, "82:nd all the way" is a Sabaton cover. They actually played it together in Oslo, 2020. (Amaranthe was opening band for Sabaton). I was there, front row 😉🤘.

Just left a comment for Megitsune - just catching up with my RUclips feed 😳 This is Elize Ryd who auditioned for the vacant Nightwish spot but they went for Floor (who wouldn't 😀)! I kind've understand the struggle you had with this one (I love it btw) but I'm of an era of Heavy Anthemic 80's ballads were a thing 😆 - but Amaranthe are much more than this - I think you'd probably prefer any other song than this! I'm being a bit naughty here, but I was wondering if you knew Floor growls too?!! Do check out 'Your's is an empty hope' live at Wembley. You'll love the energy of it - one of Nightwish's heaviest songs. Take good care of yourselves and congratulations 👏 once again!
