The Warriors really blew their franchises future hopes out of the water with their draft picks over the last few years. Only Jonathan kuminga has any kind of good starter potential. They were in a rare opportunity to pick at the top of the draft and ended up with one of the biggest busts in the last ten years.
Not trading the Wiseman pick was a massive mistake IMO. Obv they won the chip so whatever, but they could’ve moved it for a really good young guy on their rookie deal…or something like that. I was just low on wiseman in that draft and I didn’t see how they were gonna get him the reps he needed as a super super raw prospect.
@@BOnYTBI mean in hindsight yeah they should’ve traded the pick but Wiseman was getting massive hype with his shooting touch and frame. He just didn’t have a good work ethic especially to improve his defense
They had 1 rare opportunity pick and you say they really blew their franchise because Wiseman didn’t work out? 😂 Hilarious take from a fan that couldn’t draft better
Honestly this is a A- draft grade in hindsight. Everything was on point but the Killian Hayes and James Wiseman ones bring it down, especially the Killian Hayes one since he was a reach even back then
I mean to be fair.. lamelo is objectively the best player to pick there but the logic was correct. Where would lamelo have fit with klay and Jordan Poole off the bench. Playing 4 guards definitely would've been an iffy rotation
A B+ for Vassell was definitely too low. Getting him at that spot was an A. Personally, I was higher on him than I was on Patrick Williams coming out of the same school. And I'm happy to have been vindicated.
Love the reactions and the initial takes, you seriously could be a draft advisor for an nba team, you hit more than you miss which is more than you can say for a bunch of nba GM’s. As always thanks for the content appreciate all the entertainment you provide
what sucks with Poku is that he came in so young, was having a pretty decent season last year as a guy who is a Center(who should be playing SF, like Lauri). he's only 21, which is crazy cause he's already been given up on
I think nothing really counts as a bust in the 20s unless they never play in the league or play like 4 games or something. There’s value to be had, but in many ways it’s a crapshoot after the lottery (some drafts after about pick 8)
@@bezllama3325 when you look back at picks 20-29 from any given draft usually about 4/10 play less than 150 games in the nba. 2020 actually has a better 20-29 than many others I looked at like 2010 or 2012, or even 2019
The Toppin grade and reaction makes sense, I just hate that the Knicks drafted him, because Thibadeu did him so dirty there, was awful for his career and I think all UD fans resent the Knicks now lol
I'm not mad at all since we had Dejounte & White at the time. Yes, Haliburton is significantly better than Devin, but I can see him ultimately becoming a borderline allstar caliber player in the league which is really solid value outside the top 10.
I really hate when ppl doubt drafting Melo for gsw. He literally would’ve won then at least 2 more championships and would’ve allowed Klay to easily transition to 6th man and would’ve taken a lot of offense responsibility from Steph as he got older.. imagine Melo on that team currently. It would’ve been insane
You needa study up on okoro lmaooo, he’s been an incredible 3-d wing all year and we will prob need to pay him 17-18 mil a year to keep him. He’s been fantastic
I mean you nearly had the Wolves pick as they traded a top-3 protected pick in the Dlo-Wiggins trade to GS. You would end up using that pick on Kuminga the next year.
Bro said Tyrell terry would be a better pick than Pritchard 💀😭 Oregon vs Stanford in pritchards senior night college game dropped a 40 point triple double on him and won the pac 12 league championship that game 😂

Crazy how the pacers didn’t have a lottery pick in this draft but now have 4 of those guys on their team
As a Pacers fan, I absolutely love it lol

Tyrell Terry over Tyrese Maxey sounds crazy in hindsight 😭😭😭 these are crazy to look back on
