Honestly considering what we knew at the time, these takes aged pretty well.
ye if you give all of the players a B your takes will age well but wont give any solid information either i guess, i would find a one F grade thats right more interesting than 20 Bs, although nice to see he got primo kinda right cause he sucks hard and fuck this guy
I remember how bad I wanted the Thunder to get Kuminga on draft night. Giddey looked better at first, but now with all things considered, Kuminga is the obvious choice.

Not sure Kuminga would be better on OKC tbh, he’s not a great shooter like Giddey. He likes to slash a lot also. OKC would be better off getting Anunoby in the offseason honestly. Perfect fit for okc
In no specific order, Scottie, Franz, Mobley, Sengun and Cade are still the best in the class. Kuminga and Suggs have the chance to rise

the ziare pick is so funny for a lot of reasons. that trade was great for the grizz just bc of what steven adams added to the team. however, in hindsight the pick was eh at best. but grading ziare now is so funny bc after his rookie year 90% of the time he’s a complete liability, but he will put up 30 randomly.

This might be the most consistent draft ever. Aside from Mitchell, Jones, and Bouknight, I feel like everybody else turned out to be solid players.

despite Giddey’s off-court troubles and shaky season this year, he’s got crazy upside and could definitely prove himself in a 6th man role with the Thunder (seeing as he plays better as the primary ball handler) or as a starting PG on another team
Will have it be with another team eventually. Jdub is a way better player who plays incredible with the ball in his hands and he is the player in that role when SGA is off the court. You don’t take the ball out of his hands to put it in giddeys. That’s why the thunder don’t just do that option of giddey being “the back up point guard”.
If he can’t shoot that severely limits his upside, similar to Michael Carter Williams

I think you should regrade the players next time you react since you had someone like Kai Jones as B+ but in hindsight is a D- to an F since he never really saw the floor and was released.
I’d want Sengün any day with hindsight, his potential is anywhere from 70-90% of prime Jokic
The two guys I was highest on in this draft were Giddey and sengun… at least I got sengun right

I will admit I was PISSED when we took Kuminga cause he struck me as a guy who'd take a few years to be ready when we were trying to win now but I'm quite pleased with the results (I wanted either Jalen Suggs or Jalen Green and honestly given that the later is falling out of favor in Houston I wouldn't mind him but also don't want to give up Kuminga)

I had Sengun 3rd in this draft. I’m calling that as a dub. Doing things at 21 that Jokic wasn’t doing at 21 and Sabonis wasn’t doing until he was 24/25.
Jalen Green has plateaued since his rookie season. Same player as a rookie and same player now. He’s gotta improve.

I think your take at this moment undersells Kuminga both now and in the long term. He's 21, he's starting for the Warriors and offering a lot of rim pressure and really good defense. He has a ton of skill and world class athleticism. Of ALL these guys he seems the most likely to be a multiple year all star

The one thing I would say about the Cade pick is that he's had a lot of health issues for such a young guy.
I live near Toronto, and I remember the night before the draft, I went out for some bevs, and our server was wearing a zags tee. I asked him if he was a bulldogs fan, and he responded nahh, they have this player the Raptors are gonna draft. I said oh, I hate to say this, but I think the raps easily take Scottie Barnes out of FSU over Suggs, and he scoffed at it. We had a good convo, and the friends I was with all said I could not be more wrong. Then 24 hours later happened. He so obviously fit the mould that raps were enamored with, the size and wingspan and defensive capabilities. I was definitely not shocked. I hope this young man continues to ball out and get better!

Steph - Klay - Wiggins - Kuminga - Sengun would’ve been a nasty lineup. Moody shows a lot of flashes but unless his 3pt shooting spikes I don’t see him making the jump Kuminga did.

I think giddey is a really good player the problem is his clearly a pg and with Shai handling the ball 24/7 his almost being left to be a spot up shooter which is making him look bad thunder should definitely trade him for a star in the future because him and Shai I don’t think can play together
It’s not affecting the thunder but giddey’s game does fit great with OKC. He’s know as a top tier playmaker and not a good shooter so they play him as a shooting guard and force him to shoot 3s and not playmake. He needs to go to a different team. Not playing him right.

It's a shame that Moody still hasn't gotten a chance to show what he can do. His minutes are so spotty or non-existent, and for seemingly no reason. Because when does play, he stays ready and hustles hard. It'll be sad to see if the warriors move on from him, because i think he'll thrive wherever he goes.

In hindsight, the Warriors should have taken Sengun at 14 over Moody, and so far Trey Murphy III has been a better player than Moody. I love Moody, I know he'll be a stud in the NBA some day, but for a team focused on winning NOW, they should have taken Murphy at 14. I said this even in 2021.

Hate to agree with this cause Green was my favourite player coming out of this class but his game just isn’t NBA starter calibre. Him and Poole are in the same boat, might eventually be a great bench piece but not right now
