Lana Tiare, "Sarmalele" are with sauerkraut (ie fermented). They are not made with fresh cabbage. That's why they have this special taste. If you had also tried some pretzels with poppy seeds, salt or sesame, of your choice, with their delicious crispy crust and freshly fluffy core taken out of the oven next to that "Timisoreana" beer, or some small grilled (mici la grătar), or a cheese pie. salty ... You don't even know what you lost. Go on the Romanian coast in summer and taste a beer again at least with a portion of "Dobrogea pie" (plăcintă dobrogeană) ... or go a little higher in the Danube Delta, (UNESCO heritage), to taste at least the delicious freshwater fish dishes ... maybe even some sturgeons ... 😋 Miammm!
Such a nice series of Romanian travel videos you shared with us! Thank you so much! :) My mother is Romanian from Cluj-Napoca and I'm planning to visit Bucharest on Eastern with my boyfriend, so glad you liked it! :) Much love from Germany
Thank you!! I’m so happy you enjoyed the videos 😊 Oh nice, we didn’t get a chance to go there, but maybe next time 😅. I’m sure you’re boyfriend will love it! ☺️
The cabbage rolls looked amazing. The plate of food you and Carlos bought at the bar was huge, you could have shared it with another couple of people 😜. Great video, keep making more!!
@@LanaTiare you should try cheile nerei in caras-severin county. Also Brasov, Sibiu, Cluj, Timisoara, trans alpina and trans fagarasan, Danube Delta, cetățile ponorului, places from Moldova and from Oltenia. Also you need to go to Maramures and eat from local people as much as you can. Restaurants have good food, but from people at home, you will get very good food (i believe air bnb with food included) on the country side. You need to choose wisely the restaurants they can have high prices and bad-ish food. You should try jumeri, caș ( fresh sheep or cow cheese), telemea (cheese from sheep or cow in salt) from ciobani, șuncă, clisă or slănină, caltaboș, fresh home made sausages, and smoked fresh sausages or smoked dry sausages. Varză călită with ciolan or sausages, polenta with telemea and sour cream. Also you can have sarmale with sour cream. Iahnie de fasole. You should try carne la garniţă ( fried pork in lard). And don't forget about fresh bread. There are so many things that you can eat and visit. I'm hungry already. If you need more info about the food and places let me know. We can somehow talk. Not sure how to PM on RUclips.
02:10 that's called "outlaw's stew" (hard to translate what a "haiduc" was, think more like Robin Hood than Billie the Kid), it's supposed to be wild boar meat, but I suspect it was actually pork 04:54 only Timisoreana is local (the other is Belgian import) and it's on the lower end of the scale regarding quality. Best local beers are Ursus and Ciuc. 07:37 those tiny sausages fried on the skewer are called "beer sausages" and are the only non-traditional component on that plate, I think they're of Czech (or maybe German) origin
Bit of a late comment, when you went to the Arc of Triumph, you just missed the National rugby stadium, it's nothing really big, but Romania was at some point of [now] history proposed to enter Five Nations, I think Italy is right now the sixth. Enjoying your videos for an hour, they're very nice. :)
That was a full on plate at the start and the end! 😮 Such full on servings lol. Luca looked good too 🙂👍 Bucharest is on our places to visit for Europe (eventually!) So it's super handy having your vlogs 🙂 thanks for sharing!
Yes I think we underestimated how big the last plate would be. Luca was our favourite! That place never fails 😂🙌🏼 Oh I’m happy to hear that! Can’t wait to see what you will get up to in Bucharest 😆.
The real ”mămăliga” is not that creamy, in fact is the opposite side and to cut it we use a sewing thread. Sometimes we grill her. Also when you eat her with sarmale it's good to have some sour cream and spicy pickled peppers.
@@falx966 The real mamaliga is that creamy cause the real mamaliga it's from Italy and it is called polenta. Mamaliga as most of our food its not ours lmao.

P.s What are your favourite street foods? 😀😀
Lana Tiare te așteptăm cu brațele deschise!

Ohh ... pastramă haiducească ... yummy

@Flav C And Iași is also an option😁
@Flav C Yes, it is a very nice city, the problem is that it is harder to get to Iasi because in Moldova part of Romania are no freeways
It's the Tecuci Mustard (classic), the best in the World!
Mici + timișoreana beer + muștar(mustard) = Best combo
Yes! I agree 🤩🤩
The perfect market with the traditional “ mancare ca si in maramu “ dupa pui de Morosan sa nu dai cu bolovan.
All this because we are nice people with stranger, but we very bad people betwin us. I dont know why, but its real! 😥😥😥
Nice food
Too bad you guys didn't come in the summer . The difference is overwhelming .
Yes I bet, we’ll have to visit again
Nice video but regarding "Local romanian beers"... : the one with 365 and the Lion is a "Delhaize" white label beer (Belgium)😂
Hi beautiful city ❤
The first dish is Outlaw's pastrami (or outlaw style pastrami)!
Hey, beauty! Timishoreana beer comes from Timishoara. :P

Did you like polenta? It’s cold mamaliga in Romanian 🇹🇩
