Really good video lana. So of the food looks great. We noticed that, you ate the long roll from the side lol!!! Haha oh yeah I just noticed that too! 😂 Oh gosh I’m not much of a drinker these days but I can still handle beer so that’s good. Thank you so much John! I really do appreciate the support ☺️. Carlos says hello 👋🏼 too!! We wish you guys a great weekend!
tripe soup is always eaten with a garlic vinegrette and chilli flakes, they usually serve them seperately with the tripe so you can add as much as you like
Тъжен помен рекърдс Thanks for this! Yep, Carlos added plenty of garlic, vinaigrette and a little chilli flakes to his. Apparently they serve this dish in Brazil too 😊.
Yes you can drive from Istanbul to Sofia. Just double check to make sure of the requirements for entry during COVID. I’m not too sure about the hostels as I haven’t done the drive myself. Hope you have a safe journey :)
Handy how the two markets are near each other 🙂👍 cheese on everything sounds good to me lol those pastries we so crispy! Yeah it was quite handy. Haha I know, omg they put cheese on everything here, I love it so much 😆😍. Not a big fan of taking shots either, lucky for that glass of beer 😂. If you're going one day again to Bulgaria you should definitely visit Varna!! (In the summer is the best time to go there) It's at the sea and there are a lots of cool and amazing things to see!! Also if you're a fan of seafood it's a plus there because it's at the sea!And it's pretty warm too! ( btw. There's a lot of traffic in the summertime because of the many tourists! ) (Stay safe and at home rn!)
Yes we would have definitely visited there if it was warmer. We saw the Black Sea once in Ukraine and it was so lovely in the summertime. I’m guessing Bulgaria would be similar. We can’t wait to get back out and travel properly, but for now we’ll wait and dream 😊🙌🏼❤️. Thanks for commenting and for the recommendation, we hope you and your family are well and taking care during this crazy time. 🙂
The rakia did not seem ice cold ( it should be) , you also did not put ice in the rakia (which is good thing to do ) and after taking a sip of the rakia you had to get some of the salad ( always have some sort of an appetizer or salad with your rakia ). W hat you did there was the worse thing you could possibly do - to drink beer after the rakia.
@@LanaTiare I lived there for 1 year and have been back 4 times in 4 years. I will always be homesick of Sofia, it's such a beautiful city full of memories ❤️❤️
sofia has many interesting churches and monasteries....it was famous in the middle ages for this...i would recommend besides Alexander Nevsky and Boyana, Saint Sophia Cathedral, St. Georges Rotunda, St Petka of the Saddlers, Sveti Sedmochislenitsi, Sveta Nedelya, the Russian Church...all within walking distancei.also love the small Saint Petka inside the Sofia Orthodox Metropolitan...but that one is hard to.find as it is practically underground...if you.can go to.any of these churches during mass...the choir and singing are part of orthodox mass so it is really beautiful
Just for the record - there is no such a thing like 'sirene cheese'. The word sirene in Bulgarian itself means cheese. So, you basically said cheese cheese

In latin it is spelt "Rakia" in Bulgaria, not "Rakija" we do not use the "J" letter. Also, it is a drink found all over the balkans, however the oldest relic for the production of Rakia was found in Bulgaria written in Bulgarian Cyrillic spelt Ракиня (Rakinya) from the 6th century. Plum Rakia is also not recommended... everyone knows that Grape Rakia is the best.
this is stupidity. plum rakia is good esp. Troyanska slivova. only a person who knows nothing about rakia would claim that plum rakia is not good. rakia can be made from any fruit....i personally like apricot, cherry and quince rakia!
@@RositsaPetrovarjp7 stupidity? Really? Chill. Plum is definitely not as good as grape... the other flavours are not as popular as grape or plum.... for a beginner i always recommend grape to start.

I am a woman who wants to travel to Bulgaria to meet the man I've been talking to online for nearly a year (it would be at least a full year before we'd actually meet). We have video chatted many times and message each other nearly every day, but I long to kiss him, to hug him. Is this a bad idea? My understanding is that the country itself is generally not dangerous, but I worry about being trafficked, though I honestly don't believe he is a trafficker...or criminal of any kind.
GrammarNazi1988 Hello, I can’t give you any advice on this directly as I don’t know too much about this. But from what we have seen since being in Bulgaria for over a month or so is that it seems safe enough. As for your situation go with your instincts and meet in a public place for safety 😊. Best of luck!
