It's a great car, that few people really know. I had to replace the bearings on the LSD and rebuild the steering box but appart from that everything works well. That car was well maintained before me.

Bellissima,ne ho una anch'io,una prima serie del 1993,verde tundra metallizzato,e con gli interni come i tuoi. La trovo una macchina sensazionale: compatta,leggera,comodissima,con due posti dietro utilizzabili,un bel bagagliaio,tiene bene la strada,frena bene,e ha un motore fantastico. Il bello è che ci puoi andare a spasso come con una utilitaria,perchè è docile e tranquilla,perfino dolce ma se schiacci è progressiva in modo impressionante. Possiedo anche una Biturbo S, che ha 210 cavalli contro i 306 della Ghibli,ma,pur divertentissima,è più rabbiosa e ostica di questa. E poi,non lo ammetteranno mai,ma il nuovo supermotore Maserati Nettuno,quello della MC20 e della nuovissima Granturismo,secondo me è ispirato dal motore di queste Ghibli: V6 con angolo di 90°,due turbo e due intercoolers,quattro alberi a camme in testa,cinghia dentata (anche se la Ghibli aveva il curioso sistema di catene tra le coppie di alberi a camme),quattro valvole per cilindro,iniezione elettronica.... E'chiaro che non può essere solo una coincidenza,anche se il Nettuno è tutta un'altra cosa e ha camere di scoppio totalmente diverse. Chi le critica a priori dicendo che sono dei bidoni,non ne ha mai provata una. E chi mi parla di consumi non ha capito che se hai una macchina con tanti cavalli consuma per forza. Certamente hanno i loro difetti,ma se tenute bene sono affidabili e vanno benissimo.Chi le utilizza come auto da drifting o cose simili invece non ha capito che queste sono delle gran turismo Maserati,vanno seguite,mantenute e rispettate. E,se tenute bene,anche le più criticabili Biturbo a carburatori va benissimo e non ti lasciano a piedi.

Thanks for your feedback, and I totally agree with you. I also own a 550 Maranello but I would say the Ghibli, even it's older, is a better car, a better Grand Tourer and a more confortable car. I love his car. I will sell the 550 before I sell the Ghibli!

@@youngtimerdriver I also own a pair of Ferraris,a 1978 Dino 308 GT4 and a 400 i GT (manual),they are magnificent cars,very different from the two Maseratis. The Ghiblis are rare and enthusiasts are beginning to discover how nice to drive they are and how fast they are. And they are still a bargain,if you think that with the same money you buy an Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider Veloce,with less than half horse power,a 4 cylinder engine and not rare at all.

The typical high pitched noise coming from the gearbox, the driving position, the spaceship dashboard, and of course the non conformity of the Bertone design on a perfect balanced chassis. The 400i and 412i is a car I love to look at, but I believe is a higher maintenance car, and for me the worst period of Ferrari for interiors (too much plastic). But still a head turner (specially in that clip from daft punk 'electrorama')
