No such thing as a 3200 spyder, That’s because that car is a 4200 spyder. ... the 3200 was twin turbo and the boomerang 🪃 rear lights as mentioned and never made a convertible in it.. it’s the same shell essentially.
Before the car was launched it was given to motor journalists labeled as the 32200 Spyder - it was only changed on launce to distinguish the coupe but he did update it in the details to give the hamster his dues :)
I have a 4200 Spyder and my mom had the 32200 coupe and there are some things that are great, boomerang tail lights (that the Americans didnt like) the intakes on the bonnet , although the hump to accommodate the intake for the 4200 is still cool, but overall GG's original design is always going yo be the best and its a sin that they got rid of the tail lights as they were the first lever used on a production car , and so beautifully they really make the car and so the 3200 agreeably is the prettiest coupe - but the handling is still schizophrenic, along with the power boost and had a lot of suspension issues along with the usual Maserati electrical problems that the 4200 did sort out to an acceptable degree, but at the end it all depends what you want out of a car the 3200 is more fun but more scary..

@@coreydl2008 I own a GranSport; the luxuries are limited to nice leather seats and carbon fibre trim. The 4200GT had more amenities, but barely. The car was meant to be basic - it's already a heavy vehicle and need not be weighed down by bells and whistles.

Team Tornado Boy The 3200 GT was only marketed outside of the US had boomerang shaped rear lights. The evolution of that car was the 4200 with a larger 4.2L engine, non turbo and had the rear lights shown on this car.
Team Tornado Boy The engines were completely different, that isn't a slight redo. As well the interior on the 4200 is quite fancier and of higher quality.
Baba Booey So they messed with the mechanics, but it is still the same exact car. Saying it is a slight redo is completely opinionated and subjective, so you have no grounds to say it is not a slight redo.
I have the same exact car in that cherry red as well. Unfortunately there are always issues with reliability. When I try to drive it I always cross my finger that something is not going to go wrong
I wonder if he ever watches this back and then remembers just how much he shat on the same car the moment he got the Top Gear gig because Clarkson didn’t like it?
im sure its a 4200 jeremy made the same mistake in a review calling it a 3200. i love this red one in this review i have a dark wood one, the f1 one gear box is great but rough but so is the gearbox in how it is made it wont break or anything but if something wil go wrong its always electric whit the 4200 or gransport. great cars easy to handle but not that easy that a monkye can just get in and take off whit full power.
If I remember Hammond (the guy in this video) said he like the paddle shift in the 4200 and Jeremy Clarkson said he didn't like it. Was it a different Maserati?
@@SL92018 Hammond clearly said he didn't like the cambiocorsa gearbox in the old granturismo when he reviewed the refreshed 2004 model in italy. It may have been a long time but history never forget or forgive
Also, MENANDMTORS.. This is NOT a 3200 Spyder... As he say in the video, it got a all new 4,2 V8 (4200 Spyder) not the old 3,2 V8 BI-Turbo...
This appears to be the 3200 spyder
Maserati never made a 3200 spider. They went straight to the 4200
True, What a stupid thing to say , not even knowing the model of the car
It was called the 4200 in US. US laws was the only reason they had to change the brilliant rear lights.
3200 is better looking and can't you get more power out of the 370hp 3.2 twin turbo v8 than 4.2 ?

I assume he meant to say 4200 GT Spyder
A 7 minute review of a high-end luxury car, and not a single shot of the interior accommodation. No wonder this show didn't make it.
Just as well, it's hideous!
@@KiloByte69 I think not. The interior is gorgeous. Leather everywhere and full of Italian style.
It's a GT - not a luxury car.

I have a 575 ferrari and this maserati in coupe. they Maserati is on a level playing field and the 575. it's unreal.
Have YOU ever driven one?
I agree. I can't stand Hammond at the best of times. He's clueless about cars
This is a 4200 spyder not a 3200. The 3200 GT has boomerang shaped rear lights and is a twin turbo.
*In the USA

Hahaha, bingo !
so, the paddle gear shift is nice? you liar, a year later you and the other oaf declared this useless and in a Maserati too

This is a great date car. Any chick would love driving in this thing.
The gear box is “excellent” and the scuttle shake “isn’t that bad”….all of those statements are completely false 😂
HAHAHA its just as british as pizza

coupe is great. convertible is pants
3200 spyder? no Richard its a 4200
Hamiltons positive comments about the gearbox go to show how clueless he is as a motoring journalist. Talk about someone who stole a living
So wrong in so many ways 😂 clearly hindsight helps…. But was it ever a 3200GT based car?!?! Errr no!
Dummbatz 4200
Another car with only two seats.....
