    What I would like to learn is the Edging an putting a medallion together. It's my very first time beading a medallion.

    Where do you purchase your hoop earrings?

    • @MelissaChilcotinChar
      @MelissaChilcotinChar 3 года назад +2

      I buy my hoops from Walmart or Ardene's. I usually try to buy Multi packs and the hoops are thin but, not too thin. I like to be able to get 7 delica beads (size 11's) around the hoop somewhat tightly.

  • @delilahjoles6260
    @delilahjoles6260 4 года назад

    Does it get tighter towers the end? Mine are still pretty loose?

    • @MelissaChilcotinChar
      @MelissaChilcotinChar 4 года назад +1

      I hold it pretty good the whole way through. If you're using Delica beads and decent sized hoops. It should stay pretty tight with 7 beads around. BUT, depending on the thickness of the hoop itself you'll have to gage if 7 beads around is too much or too little. Not all hoops earrings are made the same thickness. If it helps, I bought my hoops from Walmart.

    • @delilahjoles6260
      @delilahjoles6260 4 года назад

      Melissa ChilcotinChar thank you I think I need to do 6 around it’s not super loose but still can move :/ I got my hoops from joanns I think

    • @MelissaChilcotinChar
      @MelissaChilcotinChar 4 года назад +1

      @@delilahjoles6260 oh I see. Just remember if you do an even number count of beads that you'll be stringing your thread through a couple beads a couple times and it'll look a little busy but, it is doable. That's why I like my odd number count, 5, 7, 9, 11, etc.

    • @MelissaChilcotinChar
      @MelissaChilcotinChar 4 года назад +1

      You could use round seed beads, they just won't stay put as nice as the Delica's. I would try to stay with an odd count of beads. Try 7 if not, try 5 or 9 depending on the thickness of the hoop earrings.
