    When you thread the nymo through the needle, how much do you pull through? Do you pull it through and tie it onto the needle or do you pull through enough to have a long tail and just hold onto while passing through the hoop? Thanks! Beginner here on beading :)

    • @beadaholique
      @beadaholique  3 года назад

      I would just pull enough through to tie the knot and leave tail of about 8 inches. It helps to stabilize the piece and you can just tie it off and cut it off at the end.

    I just found this video , thank you so much for sharing

    • @beadaholique
      @beadaholique  3 года назад +1

      Yes you can use this technique to embellish just about any sort of hoop or ring, anything circular at all really. What we've done in the past with closed hoops is to sew a jump ring into the beads at the top of the hoop and then attach an earring hook to that. You can see an example of that technique in this video: ruclips.net/video/qsKjtQY9DK4/видео.html

    Can I use normal sewing thread?

  • @Mstootsie2020
    @Mstootsie2020 6 месяцев назад

    Is it normal for your beads to be able to rotate forward or back if you bump them? Or are they supposed to be stiff?

    • @beadaholique
      @beadaholique  6 месяцев назад

      There can be some rotation, especially as you are working them into place. Even after you are finished, there can be a little twisting but they should be fairly stable where they are. It could be that you need to pull your threads a little tighter as you do your weaving to make them a little stiffer or perhaps you need a little heavier thread. I hope this helps.

      Hi Sydney, you can see our video here for how to add the second row: beadaholique.com/products/how-to-bead-weave-circular-brick-stitch-around-a-ring
      Basically, you will be treating the thread bridges in the first row as your "hoop". It works the same as this kit/video: beadaholique.com/collections/jewelry-making-kits/products/fresca-beaded-fringe-earrings-in-icicle-dreams-exclusive-beadaholique-jewelry-kit

    My beads always slide back and forth after I’m done. How can I stop that ?

    • @beadaholique
      @beadaholique  3 года назад +1

      That can happen with a rounded hoop like this one. You can also try a flatter hoop if this bothers you as you wear them. We don't have any flat hoops in a similar size but this sort of shape would be what you want: beadaholique.com/products/beadalon-silver-plated-quick-links-25mm-round-18-pcs

    • @velhotaperigosa
      @velhotaperigosa 3 года назад

      Same here. I was thinking about add some glue (small quantity ofc) between the hoop and the beads. Have you tried that?
      Do you think that it will work Beadaholique?

    • @velhotaperigosa

      Btw, really nice tutorial. Thank you!

    • @beadaholique
      @beadaholique  3 года назад +1

      @@velhotaperigosa Glue can absolutely help here if you're patient. I would suggest using something with a very fine applicator like G S Hypo Cement. Even with that applicator it's going to be a bit messy, but that's ok, because G S Hypo is alcohol soluble. Meaning once you've finished applying it all you can go back with a alcohol wipe and remove any excess from the rings.
