- In today's show, our hoarders struggle to let go of the past, reach breaking-point as they argue over what to skip and what to sell, and unearth some hidden gems!
Self-storage is big business and can help us create space in our over-crowded home. But, some have taken their storage hoarding too far, clinging on to things they never see or use, and it’s costing them a fortune

I've nearly got my whole house de-junked and just pop in for shows like this to motivate me to get rid of the last bits. It really works!
@L. Wyse108 I finally broke the bank and called 1-800-Got-Junk guys for big objects like mattresses, a table, etc. As they carried each thing out I felt another 5lbs lift from my shoulders!
I should get started too. I'm not a hoarder, but the clutter is starting to get on my nerves.
It worked like magic on me and I don't know how does that happen psychologically ! I've never been such a diligent cleaner!
I watch it to justify my record collection:"okay ... I got a lot of records, but my house still feels, looks and functions as a house, so I am not doing that bad."
the older couples' storage unit reminds me of my grandmother's basement. it was VERY ORGANIZED, but she had SO MUCH STUFF. I didn't really see the magnitude of it until I was cleaning it out when we were having an estate sale. We all decided she was an "organized hoarder". And she would do that thing where she'd buy some kind of cooking gadget from the home shopping network and then forget she had it and never use it.
My motyher was a bit similar - we had a large house and she had lots of boxes in the attic, all clean, all named, lots of designer clothes sale items with prices on never worn (probably because she had very very little money as a chld during the second world war and she loved a bargain) so not really a problem and I just gave it away or to charity shops when she died. Then we let my father's carers take what they liked from our parents' home of 50 years and then the new owners of the house and then last of all paid a clearance company who said there was about 2.5 x as much stuff as most houses. hope I leave my children with less to sort out when i die.
The older couple should redecorate their home each year so they can use and view their interesting and sentimental holiday purchases. ;) Just rotate their precious goodies.
I thought the same thing.
The second couple have an amazing cherished collection to be proud of - beautifully wrapped & stored.
I'm not normally a fan of kitsch items but that Tiffany lamp replica's quite adorable!
Omg, Aggie MacKenzie! I used to binge watch How Clean Is Your House.
IKR!? I dindt know she had another show.
Meet too
Same
I have fond memories of watching that with my daughter when she was little! That was a great show, they should bring it back.
@@CyeOutsider ιn the early 2000s she had that lovely show with Kim together!!
I like the older couple's storage space because it is quite large. I live in a small flat and something like that would be a good place to set up an office space for my art and craft supplies so that I can do my work there.
Wow, after watching a bunch of the American Hoarder episodes, this was just a show where people only have a couple extra knickknacks. After watching hoarders with 9000sqft/830 M2 jammed to the roof, this is a little underwhelming :D
Same! tho i like these shows because they seemed centered in learning in different ways to part with what is unnecessary, and, if you ask me, any way to think about this subject, either extreme or sutil, is so useful!
Or the guy that had a completely full 1200 sqft home and like 16 storage spots.
@@scholbe That was the man who had, i think, 50 barns and other properties, many with mortgages, all hoarded to the brim with stuff that he thought was 'valuable' (like old car batteries and VHS video recorders etc)
I mean if you don't have an overflowing toilet, are you really a hoarder?
They never need the units. They've got so much room at home
Storage facilities love to take your money. By experience I learned that if you do not use anything for over 6 months. You do not need it. Time to sell it or discard it. Think of how fun it will be to save the money. You can travel and enjoy life again.
@Believe in Yourself I would extend that timeframe to 1 year. We lived in a tiny house with no storage space so rented a small unit. We kept all our lawn and garden stuff there (which we only used June to Sept). Also all our holiday decorations were there. But I agree holding stuff for an extended period of time is not a good idea.
14:56..their piles look like my pile of 'maybe's' til recently... I fill a box every week to 10 days, and haven't been buying anything but food, soap and toilet paper all summer til now.
I'm glad they got a hug... very well deserved and very much needed.
10:30 hahah I love how the host is so no nonsense - throw this away, you don’t need it!
Oh, now THIS is a perfect formula for a hoarding show. I know what I’m binging now that I’ve seen all of the other hoarders shows
The older couple had wonderful items :)
It basically shows how we just put stuff in storage and pay for space and sometimes never go and clean it out any to try save to use bank for other needs or trip ,etc. the minimalist movement that been around for awhile even though the lifestyle been around for years. tries to get everyone to clean out a storage place before it auctioned later and save money and space. that why i learned storage places was built so u can store stuff u dont need cause u dont check anytime later. some might check cause of cost and bills, but others forget and just move on since forget what they store at the places.
It is certanily lucrative for storage companies. I have always been able to store stuff at home as never bought a flat, just a house but for some people it is useful particularly when a young couple merge 2 flats into one and have no loft, basement, garage nor parents who can house their stuff. Bes to clear most stuff away regularly however. I got rid of my chidl hood teddy bear last year after 50 years. I took his picture and said good bye. It felt the right time to let him go. My mother had hand knitted his top and trousers.
I like how the older couple call it a treasure hunt ...
Nothing like putting a nice sticky AF sticker on something people are wanting to buy... They're so fun to get off!! 🤦
What a gem I need more episodes
Tune in every Friday for new episodes!
The older couple are great that lady how she described the hoarding was brilliant lol
Oi Aggie, we need you here in Australia please! You're the perfect motivator! 👍👍
This is so much nicer to watch than “Hoarders.”
True but I think it's because here it's more they just hoard because like the guys one of them is a shopaholic and they are aware of the hoarding while in hoarders they are in deep denial and most stem from tramas from childhood or big blows in their life and they haven't talked it out so they can see that the hoarding is due to their tramas. And it's about their homes and being in danger of their house catching fire and they can't escape or the things falling on them, etc while here it's mostly just their storage unit that is filled and their homes r still somewhat clear and livable. For big telling is their restrooms and kitchens, in hoarder they are living with bugs and rodents so they can't even use their kitchens because they are just too dirty and closed off and their bathrooms the same thing where they can't get to it so they use a bucket or nothing works so it pills up. And basically in hoarders they are living with their trash while here it's a bit more maintened and know it's a hoarding problem.
I was thinking just the opposite. 10 minutes in and I'm already bored by all the talk and no real action.
Maybe because people in the UK are a little nicer than the USA?
@@ericzerkle5214 Please don't lump ALL of us Americans in the same category as Trump. Currently, that's 38% -- still too much, but I hate for the international world to think we're all racist & fascist arses like him -- and I assume his supporters are, too, since only a racist can like another racist.

@@ericzerkle5214 There are nice people everywhere, just as there are awful people everywhere. Culture and geography will influence a person's life, but they're not a deciding factor in whether a person will be "nice" or not.
This older couple must have had some crazy adventures.
Aggieeeeee! im so glad i gound this series, ive missed ya!
That caravan is an AirBnB in waiting. They could be making money rather than spending money.
Yes, very nice caravan.
I really have to laugh when I think about storage units. My roommate and I had a small unit for several years and I think we never looked inside again after the first year. Before my roomie moved away, we went over to get her things out. All that was in there was a pair of crutches, a pair of dried out tires, and a couple of boxes of books neither of us wanted. Talk about a waste of money!
Nice couples. The male/female couple obviously are very well off and do not need the money so it does not really matter. The other couple need to clear their mobile home and sell it as well as getting rid of the unit as they just have a bit too much stuff they don't need. Mind you who would live on a house boat - there is so little space on them.
The show could be 20 minutes if all the darn "recaps" were cut.
A lot of programmes could be this way. But as "viewers", the TV Executives believe we have the attention of a goldfish so need reminding often. Thanks, just a reminder that the money raised for Catherine and Robert was for a Travel Fund - which we only needed about 7,000 reminders in the program for.
@@jamieshannon9809 I just skip through so much of the program. Some of those people have a mild version of hoarding disorder and this show just isn't taking it seriously but because it's a popular topic now the tv executives know it's worth to make programs.
@@Lytah84 Thankfully I only end up seeing stuff like this on RUclips. I haven't had a telly for years so can gladly do without being fed this utter rubbish by the TV people (much like their stuff in the storage lockers). I choose it all on my own.
What wonderful trips they seem to have had!
I love Aggie's hair!
The best couples are the ones where one is a compulsive shopper and the other is a hoarder. 😄
Great show! It would be nice if the series and episode numbers could be added to the title or at least the description. Thanks!
23:18 Ah, yes, if there's one thing you simply must keep it's a 20 year old book on programming web applications in perl...
Thanks for uploading! The faces Aggie pulls are cringey, love her 😅
Aggie's purple and gray dress is so. stinking. cute.
Smarter Thanawaffle i agree ❤️❤️❤️🇦🇺
Smarter Thanawaffle she has a good figure and excellent taste in clothes😊
I need to lose weight! I’m petite like her but need to drop about 10 pounds. I have no excuse!
@@nicolelovesjesusgod7673 ...Good luck on that journey, I’m in the same boat.
God Bless You During This Adventure.
I wrote the phone numbers of the storage unit down at 09.00 and 13.56 because it sounds like a good price for London storage!
Lmfao such a huge difference between their stuff
Adorable show! So glad both couples succeeded. My only gripe is the histrionic face pulls the otherwise charming hostess mugs to the camera. Why? Not needed and a little annoying.
Aggie you look adorable in that dress, it's so cute
Aggie is a very attractive woman. I'm saying this as a 23 year old man aha. Theres something about her. Especially on those old how clean is your house episodes.
She looks great in the red blouse and black trousers as well.
Yes, love the dress!
She does wear lovely clothes, but she is never dressed to get dirty going amongst the items!
Love programmes like this
Aggie's dress is the star of the show.
Can’t take it with you when you go. Remember that
Aggie needs to stand quietly during the auctions or she might end up accidentally being seen as bidding on stuff!
I’d have those copper pans thanks! 😻
solar panel fan....stick it on the boat!
Omg the other 2 stored all that blah junk ... wasting money , u could have used that money for a bigger boat ...
Great pay day for the older couple !!!
The lock on the older couple’s storage unit was tiny- like for a diary!
The difference between the two lads messy junk pile and the old couple treasure box is crazy aha.
It's not "crazy." All of them have hoarding disorder to some extent, which is an inability to control one's impulses and not act upon urges. They acquire and hold onto things for sentimental, monetary, utile or other (often perceived) *value.* Each person can rationalize keeping any of itheir items, even if they seem irreparable, unsalvagable, rotted, expired or useless, because *they* see some value in them.
They need to get to the root of their issues and learn healthier ways to cope with stress or emotional pain, so they can let go of items and reduce acquiring (control impulses and urges). That often means getting professional support.
@@wholeshebang1 You misunderstood my comment, I didnt call anyone crazy. I said the difference between the hoarding couple who collect expensive things a keep them organized and the two guys who basically have a bunch if trash is crazy, as in extreme.
@@BananaMana69 - I didn't misunderstand you - I wrote "It's not crazy," in response to your "The difference[...] is crazy aha," to get you to clarify what you meant by "crazy," an ableist term, by using more accurate, non-discriminatory words to describe what you meant. Why did you end your comment with "aha," like it's a joke? Hoarding Disorder is a serious mental health issue that can destroy people's lives and relationships.
@@wholeshebang1 A definition for crazy is extreme. Meaning the difference between these two hoarders is extreme. Get over yourself.
@@BananaMana69 - Again - I knew what you were referring to. Using ableist slurs like "crazy," "insane" and "mental" to describe people, situations or things is not okay, because it reinforces the stigma and shame around people who live with mental health issues, which may prevent them from seeking help. If you meant "extreme," why didn't you simply say that? "Crazy" doesn't mean "extreme."
Love Aggie!!! 💗💗💗 But, I do wish she would grow out her bangs an inch or so :)
I love her bangs. They give her a retro-futuristic, 1960s Twiggy vibe.
Lol watch the antiques lol🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Wow what a great auction for that couple 💸📦💰🤔👍.
Definitely a much more easy going auction style than a North American style of auction calling, haha!
AGGIE! love her man.
My words are, if you have never looked for it or wanted to find it , then you don't need it!
Its said . . If you dont use it & have a place for the item. You dont keep it.
Why was the host climbing on top of the guys storage items? Yikes!
I think when you are older you call people who are younger than you are children I call everyone kids. This is a great show
BEing from Canada, the Skip took me a bit to understand, so that is the "TOSS" bin.
A skip is a dumpster.
Lol, I live in Canada and guess you probably thought it was " skip " as in overlook / ignore for now. So confusing 😂. I'm from the UK though so it made sense to me but now I see it, it's funny !
I hope I never fall into this.
this is not nearly as bad as some of the other hoarding shows. those ones you had 5 foot piles of trash where the hoarder has to climb over it to get to their beds
Some of those bidders are miserable looking buggers
I am from America and Im not sure if it is a British thing but why is the auctioner so slow he speaks at a snails pace. The auctioneers here yalk so fast you have trouble understanding what he says but its all part of the fun.
SamuelandPaige Schuster they are horrendous and hard to understand. I have to say that auctioneer is unusually slow.Tom who valued the items is a good auctioneer
Hello campaahhz. Hi-De-Hi!! Today, we’ll peruse your personal items in the storage units by the Olympic-size swimming pool.
Thier home almost sank? Not good. They should keep the motorhome as a backup.
I.wish the fellas could see the other couples sell items compared to all their items.
This Paul would have said, restore it. We don't care about the resale because my husband has no plans to sell this item which is obviously very important to him 💛
Restore the accordion, for goodness’ sake. He clearly loves it.
the items hardly seem worth taking to auction...of all the things they could have sent to auction, they send items that they are getting the equivalent of $20US...what a waste of time.
i need more of this plz

80000 pounds on storage? The average house price was only 262000 pounds so he spent a 30% downpayment on storing stuff he didn't use and eventually tossed!
Does the wife have a transatlantic accent? She doesn’t really sound British.
PaddyPaws Some American twinge there but also sounds a bit Eastern European at times
@@TheLewisw1396 German
She is well educated Northern Irish middle class. She sounds exactly like my husbands family. There is a hint of Scottish which is often the case in Northern Ireland.
Eileen Moore I think the OP was asking about the older couple, not the presenter. The wife sounds very German to me (as am I). Lots of Germans have a rather rhotic English pronunciation due to the prevalence of American English in the media.
Martin Winter, I realised who she was talking about (by the way the presenter is Scottish - from Glasgow). The older lady is Anglo Irish and comes from Northern Ireland. My husband and his family are all well educated, middle class professionals and have the same accent as the lady on the show. I am also Anglo Irish having been born, brought up and educated in Scotland but of Irish and Scottish decent. My accent is different as it has more middle class Scottish but with traces of an Irish accent. The presenters accent is working class Glaswegian Scottish.
Love the host's hair!

Do people who live in those types of boats have to pay some type of rent for the space where they're moored or is it a rent free, tax free situation?
You have to pay for moorings and for council tax if it is your main dwelling and moored

why do their bids go up? I don't understand this. I thought it supposed to start high until it gets to a price people want to pay. Why wouldn't anyone take the first bid lol. Maybe everyone raises their hands and he picks the last one raised?
That's bartering. Auctions start with a low price and people who are interested can make a bid. People try to out-bid each other if they really want an item, so the sell price will go up.

Such beautiful artwork of the dickens painted China. Delicate, creative, inspirational.
But seriously ...why do people buy African art when the majority is just big boobed creatures, freaky masks and pagan fertility wood carvings that anyone can make?
Even if you don't like the style there still is creativity and skill involved
One could say that about anything. Nowadays, “modern” people find Jackson Pollack (who literally pissed on a canvas) beautiful. People have lost the appreciation for true beauty...which goes far beyond crass boob dolls and pagan ritual idols.
@@theyliveyousleep8965 you sound like a dud to me
Truth hurts. No matter how many times you want to throw a temper tantrum. You know there’s nothing beautiful, creative or inspirational in hatched up wood carvings that are used for rituals and burning albinos in voodoo ceremonies. This African art is used for some brutal death rituals.
@@theyliveyousleep8965 I mean beauty is more of an object thing to a subjective. Everyone has a different idea to what things are beautiful. For example I think more Gothic creepy cuteish art is beautiful, but another person won't and will find the realistic art more beautiful. And well it's more of what the person is into and finds interesting, they might like to research the backstory of these cravings and the rituals etc. There's just a lot of things that go into why someone gets what they get. Because again it's more of objective thing. So we will never know and as long as it doesn't hurt anyone let's just let ppl get what they like and allow them deem things as beauty without criticism they didn't ask for.
The poor parrot. Can't wait till we live in a world where people aren't allowed to keep birds in cages anymore.
Also, please go vegan.
"Traveling the world" is destroying our climate. #ActNow.
Minimalist
People are really stupid you will always have memories that you can talk about, you don't have to keep a hoard of ugly junk as a memory.
I wish next generations would be less like this old couple "travelling around the world and keeping buying items" without any reflections on climate and their carbon footprint. This is the generation that took their liberty emitting as much as they could, and it is the later generations that have to cope with climate change caused by them and pay for their pension money - so that they could fly even more. Behavioral changes have to happen now...
@Violette Yi Qin Well Since they never mentioned any children I suspect they don’t have any. So I suppose that is how they decreased their carbon footprint, population reduction. Also you have no idea how these people travel. They could’ve taken sail boats and trains. Hell they could’ve walked and swam for all you know. Also do you have any idea what would happen to the economies of the places they visited if European and North American tourists stopped visiting? But it’s okay to force third world nations to remain that way as long as you get to virtue signal. The best thing anyone could do for the climate would be to get their own emissions down to zero...there’s only one way to do that and I highly recommend against it. But at least that would be showing you actually believed what you were saying rather than being a complete an utter hypocrite.
Really, This comment from someone in a generation that thinks nothing of spending hundreds of dollars on an i-phone which causes a ton of pollution during the manufacturing process, not to mention the slave labor that makes them as well as thinking nothing of spending $6 on a cup of coffee. Are either of those things good for the planet? I think not.
Another idiot...
I think Violette Yi Qin is more than a bit pretentious! You really care about climate change, I propose you pay Brazilian farmers NOT to cut down the rain forest. You are so closed minded, you definitely should travel more.
God help these Boomers.
