- Scammers are using a video of mine to advertise a product that doesn't exist. It's a scam. Please help me to report that scam.
Seems like their pages on Facebook are gone. We already got them three times. I guess they'll make new pages soon. Whenever you see an ad or website of them trying to sell the lifting table, please send me a link: marius.ho1995@gmail.com
I can then forward it to a lawyer who works on taking all the sites down.

When reporting the Facebook page put that it's pretending to be another business. If you say that it's pretending to be another person you can't find Marius as a person to select, but you can find him as a business
also a subtle nod to the fact that businesses are valued much more than people

I have reported them and linked this video to all 3 ads there are several comments on each but can't read any of them. Worth the effort had his mortising video stolen and used to advertise products on Facebook. Basically if a selling ad appears and it's not from a mainstream brand or company direct then don't touch with a barge poll. I feel for you Marius there is very little to be done where Facebook is concerned which is why some of the content creators I follow are off to MeWee. Take care and stay safe ,Mike
Something similar happened to the RUclips channel "flower hill farms". She got action much quicker because it's a business.

put a watermark on your videos from on forward (it will prevent all this again)
FourSeason-3 is a new spam account by them. I reported it.
That's why Diresta put his name everywhere. You should tag every single thing on fab with your logo :D
As much as I greatly prefer videos without watermarking/tagging in every shot, it's getting to a point where that as an option is worth considering.
Right on. It's really hard to get away with stealing any of Jimmy's stuff because he tags all of his tools and numerous areas around his shop.
@@MurcuryEntertainment but doesn't that just put his mark in the stolen footage? In this case he is more worried about the association with the fraudulent group or person then in the stolen footage. With that said you do what you can to protect yourself, particularly the easy things, and a marker on the screen does not affect the viewers experience when done right.
I agree. Marking your products as Jimmy Diresta does, not only protects your products but your video [content]/subscribers/popularity is totally backed by being fully recognized. Correlating your likeness, also in all videos. So mark everything with your name and/or logo before recording it, even if it you use medium that allows you to erase your name off of your finished project(s), if you wanted to. anyone and everyone will know you and your products.
@@smaug1234 It makes it easier to get it taken down. And, given the size of his audience, it doesn't take long for stuff stolen from Diresta to get noticed and reported.
Make signs with your brand and hang them on walls, stand them on tables or shelves, anywhere they will be in the background during at least 90% of the videos. Make a video about it.
Marius, I'm sorry to hear that this happened to you but it looks like it's finally being taken care of. Try not to let this bring you down. The world is full of low-life scum always looking to steal and hurt others as they lack the morals, decency, talent and ingenuity of people such as yourself. There are a lot of scumbags out there.
Just spent 10mins replying to all the facebook comments ensuring as many people as possible know it is a scam.
By the time I saw this, the ad was no longer there, well done people!

So sorry about this situation. It's sad when people use your goodness and skills to fraud other people, but what you are doing is the right thing. There are some pretty sharp people out there that can help you. Stay cool and watch what happens.

Marius, thank you for the email reply the other day when I reported the ad to you (and to FB). You've handled this wonderfully in this video. I look forward to each and every video and I knew the "fourseason store" site was a scam the moment I saw you and your project on the video. The price of wood alone would be more than what they're asking for. Crazy. Good luck to you on your channel and with future projects. I'm certainly looking forward to it.
Make a unique Logo and put it everywhere, on table, on storage, on tools etc.

Was going to suggest the same. Watermark your videos and to make it difficult to remove, randomly move the watermark around or even change it throughout your videos.
Pretty sure watermarking will not help with this issue. These scammers don’t just steel the content, they also want to lift on the success. Making your video’s more recognizable might even help them in gaining (for a short time) some trust. They just make 100 sells and when reported move to another account and start over. Watermarking will make it easier to report and get stuff offline though. But I don’t think it will stop the scamming.

Sad that you had to go through this. Unfortunately scamming seems to be one of the things booming as a result of the pandemic.

Couldn't find the video from the link you posted, Marius ... hopefully Facebook have taken it down. Looking forward to your next video. You've been missed by your loyal followers but I guess most of us understand that Covid has put a real burden on everyone.

Aww, I'm a brand new sub TODAY, &= seeing your distress in this video because of what some bad actors are doing in your name that could negatively impact your subs( & others) is indicative of a genuinely good heart& makes me glad I'm already a fan. ( It also reminds me ALOT of a ...certain person...who I am very close to that has some youtube 'fame' and has been targeted in turn for such, and I can tell it does affect him personally much more than he lets on in his videos( of course it is purely for the benefit of others to not be burdened by him...) its just how his good natured self deals, but know that I am one of MANY subscribers of yours who can see you& we do give a shit&:will take action to have people like yourself &:my friends' back when the time comes...and its all because WE appreciate YOU... Just brand everything, or at least have in every video your name on some plate or something similar....
File for DMCA infringement on Facebook for the stolen video/video clips. They have to respond to all such claims within 24 hours by taking down the offended video.
I've just seen the ad on Facebook Market place 16/8/21..for 24.99.. Reported it as a scam.

12th Aug 21 - Found advert from Cara7s - put the YT URL into the comments. Already some comments saying it's a scam. When I try and report the advert FB says there's a problem. Good luck fella.
I've reported this loads of times now and given your name as the video owner. Just the company names change and FB won't do anything. To be fair, the scam pricing is obviously so low...including worldwide shipping and therefore easy to figure it out. Absolutely hate these b......s
After report, Facebook says the video doesn't break any community rule😐
Lots of people have suggested a watermark in the video. Might I suggest a variation - the text "Video stolen from owner if not showing on RUclips". Keep this moving unpredictably round the screen. If it is stolen, and not shown on RUclips, it speaks for itself. If stolen and shown on RUclips, it's a lot easier to raise a copyright strike.
THEY'RE BAAACK!! I've reported them today with the same ad.
Anyone here good with programming... you know the pay x money per view of the ad.. all you need is a script that plays the ad 10k times.. they will lose all the funds for the ad.. making the ad go down.. make them go bankrupt.... but I don't know if this would work . Wick wick.. this is just a theory and I'm just asking if anyone has done this? Because this would be so sad if this works for the scammer and if they get charged money while never making it back.. it would just be so sad for them.. so I was wondering if this would work?
I regret that I fell for this scam and even ordered 2 for that price! Should have been wiser. Anyway, I complained when 2 folding stools arrived. They answered my complaint and claim that they will refund me. Thanks for your message.

Pay an attorney a few bucks to write a Cease & Desist letter to Facebook. If Facebook ignores that, you now have a legal case against Facebook. Facebook will ignore your complaints all day long because a complaint doesn't carry any weight of recourse. A cease letter is very different. I wouldn't pay more than $50 for such a letter.

In the future, labeling your help requesting video with wording including "scammers using my video" may result in a faster response with more views.. We all greatly appreciate your content. Thank you. Hoping that this never happens to you again, scammers are Shameless and redundant in their attempts to steal. Asking your viewers to post links to newly found scams using your content may be beneficial.
i just saw an advertisement on facebook listing your table 8/28/2021, reported it as a scam
I've seen it. Sorry that happened but thought it was scammy. Lucky I've watched for years. They are stealing videos from woodpecker and advertising one of their drill guides at a ridiculous rate at a fifth the cost.
I've never seen one of you videos on facebook. Having said that though, I report nearly every ad I see. My experience tells me 99% of the ads on facebook are scams. I guess the scammers outbid legit businesses and win the ad placements. Jeff Bazos is profiting off of these scammers, who in turn profit off of (dumbass) people who don't research what and who they buy from. I ultimately blame facebook for enabling these scams.

Place sign in the shop with your official shop, and write under it "fuck scammers"

I can see a lifting table add with your video on Yahoo under advertiser Rosalooks. I don't click adds anywhere especially yahoo, but you might try to chase it down there.
Did you report this to RUclips? Did you contact your local police department for assistance?

Perhaps make dummy ad for the table that uses your own video that warns that this is a fake! Basically poisoning their well.

Make your own Facebook page for your channel and add some money to the account for advertising. once you do that you will have access to higher level customer service that can help you out over there. just my thoughts. sorry this happened to you.

Looks like it's time to have half transparent watermarks trough whole screen on every video all the time with disclaimer about things not being an ad or for sale. Good times, we are evolving.

I just saw the video come up on an ad in Facebook this morning. I added a comment with a pointer to this video, and I'm reporting the ad as fake to Facebook.
