Spoilers for the latest Manga arc: It turns out that a spell always takes time to cast. That’s why any competent Warrior can kill any mage if they’re close enough. Stark is super strong.
Literally just finished reading this chapter. Yeh, this adds something to the equation. They established that no one is 100% safe if the fights are close combat, even OP mages
I also find it funny when I see people say that people say that this is the first good written female character they've seen when all they watch is shonen lol. Shonen to begin with was always geard towards young boys because that was always the largest audience in animanga. Before the age of social media, shonen jump just did what sells which is cater to boys desires like transformations. It is kinda evolving with time like not forcing shows to go longer anymore or not just focusing on fighting anime but tgey are still destroying tgemsekves by axing shows too early that had huge potential. If they want great female characters look outside of shonen like shoujo or lightnovels for example instead of only watching the mainstream shows.
Males are bad at writing female dialog. The Naruto writer even admitted as much and gave up. If you want good female dialog read what was written by a female.
@@adtopkek4826 You probably just nitpicking in order to generalise anyway. Females have also written bad females and there are men who've written great females. Men just happen to make up the majority of writers so the ones arent good at writing will seem to be more in numbers as a result. Like I said most people just watch the mainstream shonen so they never get to see stories outside shonen that actually care about writing good female characters instead of focusing on what sells. Plus great written females were no where near in demand as things that young boys care about so authers that can write just didnt care about writimg females.
I honestly don't mind not having frieren to be in danger in fights. Saitama don't really need to be in danger for anyone to find him fun. Frieren is that but chill. Aura can never defeat Frieren. Anyone knows that, what is captivating on that fight is the reveal of how mana work and how demon see mana and lastly, The anticipation of how epic Aura's reaction is when she realize she's done fuck up. In the end Frieren is never game of throne and never market themselves as one. Coming from first few episodes and expecting game of throne is like... we are certainly aren't watching the same anime. Not that I mind having frieren in danger come season 2, I just can't see why Frieren need to be in one. They never sell themselves as that kind of story.
@@lowkeysavvy it certainly is. I think next they do if it's around threatening characters Stark and Fern is still an apprentice. Powerful but their fights are still not winnable in a landslide. Stark especially. I want to see what they'd do in season 2 since they've traveled far to the north. We'll see a lot more demons and threats.
That’d be sad but I can take it if they did it in a way that enhances the story and gives the other characters development and motivation. Also, if they do it not just for the sake of shock value
Mmph... Sorry. I DO agree that this show is wonderful with an amazing magic system. But for me using "imagination" is a little too much of a cop out. I am a professional book author and I make impossible things happen all the time in my books. I just imagine myself being too OP if I ever walked in that realm. 🤔 (Funny cuz that's exactly how it would work out!😂) Just my opinion though. That is a Spectacular Anime still!! No complaints there!
