    Forget mj, forget, lebron, forget kobe. Dr. Julius Irving started all of the dunking and all the acrobatics in basketball. He changed the game, and paved the way for those other players I mentioned!!!

    The “Little Hawk” moniker was a reference to Connie Hawkins (“The Hawk”) who used to do the same kind of high-flying acrobatic shots & dunks at the Rucker years before Dr. J did.

      Connie Hawkins was never a high flyer he had huge hands and palmed the ball like doc they both had big hands Connie is also a forgotten legend but was nowhere near a leaper like julius

    That so-called 41 inch vertical throw it out the window I saw this man personally look down on the rim with dunks especially that one over Lonnie Shelton. On a lot of his dunks I saw him looking down in the rim. He was a meanie 45 or 46 maybe even 47 inches off the ground

    • @Amick44
      @Amick44 9 месяцев назад

      Remember though, that in a game, he was usually gathering steam on his way to the hoop. So, he could get extra ups beyond simply his vertical jump.

    AND he was the originator of the term "POSTERIZED" due to how many guys made the short end of a lot of his posters that hung in many bedroom back in the mid 70's into the 80's.

    He's the one and only Dr.. Only TWO players have changed the game, 4-ever: Doctor J, and Air Jordan. And Dr. J was the originator.

    The NBA didn't see the real Dr.J because The 76ers convinced him to become a team player. So he toned his game down.
