    All too true, I have 2023 S3 all decked out. Top tier seats, red stitching, B&O sound system, ambient lighting etc. Tho still is a phenomenal car I still wish I had a RS3. I only got into Audis after seeing a RS3 in Nardo Grey years ago. Got a A3 S Line and now S3. Slowly getting there. And yes the RS3 sounds like a baby R8. 🔥

      @@abelalba3111 hahah funny enough my first time really looking at Audis was the summer before I got my s3, I got walked back to back 3 times on an open highway in my Camaro by a stage 1 RS3, it was also nardo grey 🤣

    I'm telling you man, when I went from my R to my rs3 while they were both great cars, the rs3 is just that extra bit of special that makes it something to keep forever.

    • @JayChesterman
      @JayChesterman  Месяц назад +1

      @@Kujashin I can already envision that feeling haha how has it been in terms of maintenance?

    • @Kujashin
      @Kujashin Месяц назад +1

      @@JayChesterman The maintenance isnt really much more than the R. I do my own fluid changes through fcp euro so its basically free. The brakes are aftermarket as they were on the R so they arent super expensive. Im using gyrodisc front rotors and the 034 rear rotor upgrade with carbotech 1521pads all around. If the engine does have issues though, it is a lot more expensive to repair/replace. Just get a custom flex fuel tune from Darin and never look back lol

      yeah that’s more or less what I figured, rs3s are hard to come by right now but I’m hoping when the 2025 releases here some more clean ones will hit the market,
      My eyes are peeled haha

      @@JayChesterman Yea, sort of on a list for a 2025 which is the only thing I'd ever consider replacing this car with. I plan on having that 5 pot in my garage for the rest of my life lol Unfortunately though, the way EVs are being pushed and this might be the last chance to get a daza so the prices may not fall much.

    I have a tuned 2017 s3 with a Remus exhaust and got to ride in a tuned rs3 and have to say it is quite the beast. Personally I don't find the sound all too impressing compared to my car. It has a nice tone and sounds very mean don't get me wrong but it's nothing like a v8.

    I bought my 8V RS3 at the end of 2018 and I am glad I did. Night and day compared to the S3 and everything is at 11 compared to the S3. Anything you can do to get one, do it.

      @JayChesterman  Месяц назад

      I’m going to own one, it’s just a matter of timing haha have you had any issues at all? how’s maintenance been?

    • @RuBiCaNT5X
      @RuBiCaNT5X Месяц назад +1

      @@JayChesterman If you don't have them already, get a set of quickjacks. I recommend you do all your maintenance (basic stuff like oil and the other fluid changes) yourself. The QJs make it really easy. I've gotten quite a bit done to mine, it over 850WHP on E85 (built engine, IMS850S, etc), but with all that power, its still super driveable on the street and you'd never know it has all that power. Even a Stage 1 E85 tune will blow your socks off and still be driveable in the winter. I don't know if you can easily get E in Canada, but it responds well to 93, too. The RS3 is my 3rd Audi (B5 S4 B8.5 S4, prior) and my 5th VAG car. While the RS3 isn't going to light the world on fire in terms of Mercedes or BMW-quality interior, the DAZA more than makes up for it with the 5-cyl sound and amazing power for what the car is. I have most of the build on my IG page @5zylind3r through the years of ownership, if you want to see it from soup to nuts. Cheers, my guy.

    i have an s3 right now and I’ve been having it for a lil over a year but I would definitely say that rs3 is a lot better and they sound absolutely fantastic! But definitely I would say hold off the mods and get the RS3!!!

      thanks for the comment man! congrats on the s3, it really is an amazing car, but I’m definitely pretty far down the path of convincing myself to get an rs3 in the future so the mods will be on pause for now haha

      Same when I was getting my S3 last year (2023) the RS3 was so overpriced, couldn't justify basically TWICE the s3 cost for 100hp and a stiffer suspension but I might look to get one used with low mileage soon.

    I came a from a manual v8, an e39 M5. I got tired of paying for the cylinders. And I wanted a small car, as there where my heart's at. I only miss the comfort of the longer wheelbase. Camaro is a sick car. So much car. Too much unless you track it? I'm in the Midwest, lots of bumps and ruts, and high-power rear drives have a hard time getting power down around here.

    • @JayChesterman
      @JayChesterman  Месяц назад

      @@justingallagher4864 that’s a great way to put it actually, it was definitely way too much car for my use, I wasn’t tracking it and the roads here are more or less the same.
      The s3 feels like a perfect balance to me though when it comes to an overall performance daily driver, the rs3 would probably be a few steps backwards in daily comfort with the stiffer suspension but that 5 cylinder would make it worth it

      @@JayChesterman If you have the coin for it, do it. I think an RS3 is the easiest performance car ever to recommend. I didn't have the RS3 dollars with mod money when I bought, also 2022, and I wanted to get parts in the mail, cuz I love getting parts in the mail. Durable engine, too, from what I've read. After an RS3, I think the next best performance daily that can do winter...911 C4S maybe?

      Not gonna Lie I'd pick the 8Y just for its improved tuning potential on a stock turbo. Making 470bhp from a stage 2 uni file is real tempting. Hopefully they can sort out a TCU to match the power. Otherwise, 8V is still going to be the best bang for buck. 😊
