      whats the difference between whey and elemental heal?

    • @DrRuscioDC
      @DrRuscioDC  Год назад

      @@kevinjoseph517 Our original Elemental Heal formula uses whey protein as one of the ingredients. But we also offer a whey-free option. There are other ingredients in the Elemental Heal that essentially provide a more well-rounded nutritional profile than whey alone. I'll attach an article here that goes more into detail about the elemental diet as well: drruscio.com/elemental-diet/ Hope that helps!

    You're smart to not name names. Diagnostic Solutions (GI Map co) threatened to sue me when I did split sample comparisons of their test 🙄 (I sent in two split samples (so, 2 patients completed 2 tests each) under different names to the same company and got wildly different results)

      I have had good results with stool testing. My Gi Map and my Genova Effects 2 years prior both showed a Citrobacter Fruendii overgrowth. I never did anything about it - and when I re-tested with the Map this year - the overgrowth of Citro was very high. I had been having terrible GI symptoms which my alternative doc though was H pylori and ordered a H Pylori Breath test. When it came back positive, she ordered me a full course of antibiotics like all good docs do....lol. I did an endoscopy and the Gi Map - both turned out negative for pylori. It turns out it was a false positive on the breath test was from the Citrobacter (who knew?). I don't think I would rule out testing just because of this video. I feel it has its place and I will continue to use it. I like to follow Dr Kalish - he uses Gi Map, Organic Acids, and Saliva testing on all patients.

    I'm two years in practice and have taken to heart much of what Dr. Ruscio has said, and he's spot on. It's crazy how impactful simple nutritional interventions, triple probiotics, and elemental dieting can be to improve gut health. Thank you for taking the time to run so many stool tests. That way new practitioners like me can help save our patients money by not running them!

      I really appreciate your comment. It means a lot to hear that other practitioners are getting use out of my content, and that it, in turn, can help more patients. Thank you so much for watching and the kind words!

    Thank you, Doc Ruscio, for pointing out these stool testing is a dis-service. I was told by a nurse practitioner to keep taking these tests until they can find parasites in my stool.
    But it keeps coming up negative. And one doctor thought I was challenged cause I have taken so many tests. In actuality they are not good tests overall.

    I had 3 gut tests from different companies within a few months. The results were all over the place. Each test reports different species too. Methane related species was kinda consistent though. Explaing the consitpation.

    I think Genova is probably the most reliable as insurance covers their tests. Something about their testing is more clinical.

    Was hoping the stool test would be useful and it showed high fats and protein, borderline low P 1 elastase , so wondered if pancreas and or bile low, but Dr said to stop eating so much meat and fat (Dont think was). Am thinking of enzymes or bile supps. Since Cholesterol has gone up , do wonder why it not being turned into hormones as most tested low on blood labs. Interesting info am glad your able to let people know what might be useful.

    My ND did a stool test on me and said all I had was low lactobacilli. So he put me on probiotics. I didn’t see much relief or improvement. I feel like all the tests he’s done have really not helped me much. I did food sensitivity test and eliminated foods with great results but doc said I wouldn’t be able to reintroduce. So I’m going against that. I have to be able to reintro.

      I'm sorry to hear that. There might be some cases where you'll have to avoid a particular food longterm, but otherwise the goal is always to get you to a place of food freedom. I think you should check out my book. I have a comprehensive protocol in there that might interest you: store.drruscio.com/products/healthy-gut-healthy-you

    Hi doctor, i don't know if i had sero negative hashimoto. My thyroid only 20% resembles hashimoto. My thyroid hormouns are perfectly normal, Tsh and Total T4 , and antibodies are negative . Gland is with normal size , with cysts too. My doctor said the full tyroid gland doesn't look like hashimoto, 20% look like hashimoto, 80 % don't look like . I think that i don't have sero negative , because i want to many doctors , 10 doctors and anyone didn't told me for this, sero negative hashimoto, i hear this from google , please answer me because i am terrified, Thankss.

    but elimination diets doesn't heal you and is only short term...so how do you know what healing protocol to do if you don't know what your are treating?

    • @DrRuscioDC
      @DrRuscioDC  Год назад +1

      If you do an elimination diet and pay attention to your symptoms, you can often pinpoint the foods that are the culprit to inflammation. And even if a diet is shorter term, like low FODMAP, the time you give your system to rest and repair is pretty crucial. I think of it like a sprained ankle - you're not going to stay off of it forever, but it needs time to heal. So letting your gut heal and letting symptoms guide your care tends to be more efficacious than GI and/or food sensitivity testing.

      @@tamianicoledoingme3007have you gotten his book yet? It's hard when that happens, went to see a naturopath and all she did was give me a bunch of supplements and once I got worse not better. Going evidence based is the way to go. I wish there were a lot more naturopaths like Dr ruscio who don't push for damaging or useless tests and treatments. You might want to take some activated charcoal for temporary relief, it does interact with meds though, always important to check if there's interactions with medication.

      Get on a Methylated B vitamin complex, and get a lactulose breath test vlfor SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth) and IMO (Intestinal Methanogen Overgrowth) assessment. It could also be due to Fungal overgrowth (often Candida albicans), which overgrows after antibiotic use due to lack of competitors.
