Tremendous photos and wonderful instruction. In 53 years of stills photography I've seen that pros who don't share their methods and make it all too complicated are never as successful and happy as Omar and his kin who love what they do, love their clients, keep it simple, and love to teach others. This video is way beyond excellent for beginners and beyond. So enjoyable.
Great stuff! I like that provide information on the "Large - Winner Takes All!" Kit, and then you show the "Bare Essentials" Kit also. Most Excellent. Thank you!
The flashbender thing is really helpful. I shot with it at my company Winter Party couple days ago. It is nice, but I didn't think about the real flexibility it gives me. So thank you. I'll go try that now.
Good job! I think your photo of the little girl dancing is SUPERB (the one when you're discussing the Flashbender). I love your use of the wide lens overall, and the background flash.
I love seeing your work! My name may be Christian, but about 80% of my work is Bar/Bat Mitzvahs. They sure beat weddings as far as the length of the workday and (according to my scientific data) they have 85% fewer drunk people hitting on the photographers.
All of your shots are fabulous! At 3:54, I love the angle, and lens depth on that one! At 4:46, I love that photo. Great capture. Probably my overall favorite photo. Great bokeh, perfect light, shadows, details, emotions. A great photo! Besides being a life long amateur, and semi pro (do photography for hire here and there) if I needed to hire a photographer, you would be my top choice!
Another great video Omar, thank you. Flash Benders are brilliant for the most part. I did try Gary Fong's dome 20 years ago but I never quite liked it.
Liked. Subscribed. You have a great personality that makes me less anxious to do this kind of work and your edit points in the video were perfection. Very entertaining!
My friend gave me some of his Sony photos to edit and wow there’s a big difference in the colors between his Sony files and my Fuji files. Now I get what other people talk about when it comes to colors.
Thank you for the velcro tape on the colour gel tip. I've been messing with rubber bands and duct tape for years, but that always ends up messy. To your beginners kit I'd add say any kind of 135mm lens in FF term; you gotta have some sort of a telephoto lens. For church reception at least. Course you'll not always be able to come close enough for the 70mm (FF) to fill the frame...
Thanks Omar, some great info in there, I have a Rogue Flash Bender I rarely use, I must get it out and try again, love the results you get from yours. 😊
