  • 2020 Mathews VXR 28. New Mathews inc. bow for 2020. This is VXR 28, which is the 28 ATA model. Sighting in the new CBE Engage Hybrid 3 pin at 40, 50, 60 yards. How to sight in this bow sight was relatively easy but time consuming.

    You have the most straightforward explanation for sighting this in and I throughly appreciate it!
    I’m a knuckle dragger and it’s kicking my ass! Followed the instructions that came w/ the three pin from CBE and your explanation as well. My results are: use tape #12......which after installing #12 has my 30 yard pin on the 53yard mark/line....got no clue what I’m doing wrong.
    Any advice?
    Thanks in advance!

      Outdoors Junky thanks for the reply! I used the bottom pin as my “floating pin.”
      Sighted it in at 30 then made the mark on the white tape then sighted in at 60 then made the mark. I’m still getting the same as before.
      I’m just gonna head back to the archery store and beg those dudes to help me out. Either way I appreciate your time!
      R, John

    I had the axcel carbon pro accustat for 2 days and sent it back and got this. On the axcel I didn't like the slider knob. It was very hard to grab and turn and I kept smashing my knuckle on the windage adjustment knob. This sight was $150 cheaper and actually looks better.

      I like the Carbontouch Pro a lot better, more aftermarket scope housing availability if needed and resale value a tad bit higher

    Just got this sight 3 days ago and can’t figure it out. I used my last pin as a floater and sighted in at 30 and 60. Got my gap and needed to use the #11 sight tape. When i slapped it on the 60 yard marker was on the 75 yard line. What am I doing wrong?

    • @ILhunter23
      @ILhunter23 3 года назад +1

      @@sean-lukebrija5534 yeah, so you can use any pin to determine which tape you will use. I sighted my 20 30 and 40 pin first. Then I used my 30 pin to determine which tape I needed. When you have the right tape you have to loosen up the socket screw where the little red arrow is and align it to the pin you want as your floater. I used my 40 as a floater so I adjusted the red arrow to be on the 40 yard mark

    • @GeLeeOutdoors

      Correct, when you have it sighted in, move the sliver sight selector to the appropriate yardage you sighted in last

    Thanks for this Video. I just got the exact same sight and am still sighting it in. Did you receive a loose connection / slight wobble near the sight housing ? I’ve cranked down all bolts including those that make tool less adjustments click adjustments. Its at the very end where the scope housing connects to the sight bar of that makes sense. Noticeable on shot.

  • @TrentonFletcherMusic

    So after you sight your 3rd pin in at 60 to choose your sight scale, that’s when you adjust your rapid drive back to 3rd pin sighted in at 40 yards and set your red indicator at 40 as well?

    • @GeLeeOutdoors
      @GeLeeOutdoors  2 года назад

      Yes if you’ve sighted in the fixed pins 20/30/40 and using the 40 yard pin (3rd pin) as the “floater” you’ll need to leave the indicator needle at 40 yards as the “home base”
      After that, just remember whichever pin is your floater and dial, shoot. Remember once you move the dial away from 40, the top two pins are no longer useful until you set the pin back to 40

    • @roccoarchery9817
      @roccoarchery9817 3 года назад +2

      @@EDCtexan I ended up returning the sight due to two reasons.
      1) My bow was too low poundage-wise, so the preset tapes didnt fit, and the range of motion for the sight didnt allow me to clear a shot at 60 yards (the sight was too low even in the different mounting positions. If you shoot higher than 60#, you’ll be just fine!
      2) The bar that locks the adjustment knob actually bent on me. Idk how, but maybe mine was just a fluke, but I just ended up returning it and picking up the axcel accutouch, which has served me much better!
      It was more expensive, but it did make life easier, hope this helps!

    Why not have the head maxed out at the top of the adjustment, sight in 20 and 30 with your top 2, then 40 with your floater, then just move the floater down to 50/60 etc, that way your home position is @ the top of the wheel adjustment?

    • @jacobchapman8515
      @jacobchapman8515 4 года назад +1

      @@GeLeeOutdoors just seems like a design flaw. Say on a 3 pin im shooting 56 yards-dial the fkoater to 56 and im good.....go back to shooting targets at 20-instead of dialing my housing back to the top of the adjustment (20-40 good to go already) I have to have the sight at a lower spot, you're losing downward adjustability by doing that...you can't shoot out to distance further before bottoming out, while you can only get closer to a certain extent before its worthless. Hope im missing something, or else im gonna just stick with MBG whose sights make sense (zeroed at the top of the adjustment wheel)

    • @jacobchapman8515
      @jacobchapman8515 4 года назад

      @UC9FJwe5og4pIrsXn6-unqbw no problem, ill reach out to CBE. In my mind, your 20 pin (top pin) should be dialed in when your housing adjustment is as high as it can go to maje sure you can utilize further downward adjustment for longer shots
