How to buttercream cake frosting/ Cake icing/ Swiss meringue buttercream/ 케이크 아이싱/ 이도케익

  • The video was filmed while making one of the cakes posted on EEDOCAKE Instagram.
    The cake was finished with blueberries and wildflower decorations using buttercream at last. This video shows the process of cake sanding, crumbs coating and final cake frosting before flower piping details.
    Even if it's a design other than blueberries, this process is a repetitive task, so I upload it separately.
    After crumbs coating, the cake was stored in the refrige for a while to harden the cream, and after that, the cake icing was carried out.
    In the next video, you'll see the process of piping and decorating blueberries, leaves, and some wildflowers.
    I prepared caramel pound cake and used Swiss meringue buttercream for cake frosting.

      It depends on the cake sheet.. if genoise, probably various choice for fruits~

    Hi i made the buttercream but when i frost the cream is not smoothy here we don't have butter 100% do you think this is the problem.

      well.. with 80% fat butter also works in my experience..

      Would u try to make the buttercream well? I don't think the fat percentage does matter much..

      Buttercream Making
      Ingredients
      Unsalted butter 450g
      Water 50g
      Sugar 150g
      Egg white 150g
      Italian Meringue
      Boil the syrup with water & sugar up to 118 ℃ at medium heat. (No stir)
      Whip the egg whites to soft peak.
      Add syrup in a thin trickle and raise the meringue at high speed. When lifting the bit, it should be shaped like a bird beak. (stiff peak)
      Cool the meringue till under 30 ℃.
      Buttercream
      Add sliced butter (room temperature butter/ over 20℃) into the meringue little by little while whipping at medium speed.
      After butter is well mixed, whip it till creamy at high speed.
      When the texture becomes hard, stop it.

    Are you able to list out the color mix for the cake? I can’t really see when you hold up

      For icing color: Royal blue, Brown, Black mixed firstly, and added Royal blue a bit more.

      저 브랜드는 국내에서 사지 못하고, 호주에서 친구가 사다줬어요. 하지만, 방산에서 비슷한 물건은 충분히 찾으실 수 있을것 같아요 😭

      Hi there~ hmm.. almost of tools that I'm using are not special at all in Korea. Even no brand name on it.. just market tools. But sorry for no information how to get them out of Korea.
