Hi Bro, you are making great videos. Very helpful. It would be great if you can also provide some sources to further study about these topics. E.g. some books or videos. Thanks
Hello, Could you give some advice for the Power Planning Part (Such as how to choose the Power Ring Width, how many sets of them, and the stripe spacing... etc.,) ? Please share your approach on how to arrive at a decent PG for a new technology node.
Hi, power delivery network (PDN) is a vast topic of discussion. There is not the best approach or the best PDN. It all depends on the type of design. It's possible to have multiple power patterns and also power domains where the PDN is quite different. But, there'll be always a team dedicated to power planning. It's rare that a PNR or PV engineer will interfere with power. I'm also new to design of PDN. But, I can certainly tell you that it depends on project requirements. Density of cells, power consumption, switching activity factor, frequency are some of those which govern the width of the metal for power. But there are cases when a PD engineer needs to make small changes to power rails, maybe adding more stripes or something to resolve EM and other reliability issues. Hope it helps
Hello Sir, What is the role of toggle rate and clock period in Static IR drop analysis? Since this analysis will not have any time varying currents, How does Static IR drop gets impacted with clock period?
Varying toggling rate or activity factor and varying clock period have same impact on Static IR drop. Since static IR drop takes the average current drawn from power grid. Higher the clock frequency and toggling rate, higher is the average current and hence higher the static IR drop. And you know that it is similar to Dynamic IR drop increase but not same.
why you use bookish language always....its very tough to understand bookish language, if you are making video then at least try to use simple words....unnecessary show off of english doesn't make good videos
Thanks for this video!
Thank you.

Nice explanation 👌
Thanks a lot for your support 😊

Hi sir. can you please suggest the name of software that is easily available on the internet to analyze the basics of IR Drop analysis.
