My biggest hamster mistake was thinking my hamster was lonely (I was just a kid lol) and brought it over to play with a neighbour's hamster who they swore was a female too. It turned out their's was male and our hamsters bred. The neighbour wouldn't let me stop them because she believed if we intervened, the babies would be half dead inside her (weird eh?) but then she was a kid too. So she gave birth to 12 babies. It wasn't all bad because I got to watch the babies grow up.
Yo same. I was SUPER little. Tried to put my male Syrian with female dwarf. She died a week later due to serious bite wounds. Same with my guinea pigs, bought a male and threw him in with the female. She had stillborn babies and ate them then died. Wish my tragic childhood stories turned out as well as yours :( xx

My biggest mistakes are that I first owned a mouse and we kept him in a small bin and a small mesh wheel. Also he she didn't have any chews or a water bottle (I gave her from a bottle cup which she always knocked over. And, female mice should be kept in pairs but I keep her alone. I WAS SUCH A BAD OWNER I REGRET IT. Now I got a Robo hamster with a huge cage and a large solid wheel, he has chews and homes and toys (and a water bottle). 😃
Pusa Chickenova robo hamsters are so cute! I saw one at PetSmart who was trying to get out and was pacing back and forth. I really wanted her and my dad said yes but then my mom overheard and said no. ;-; ( not that you care LMAO )
My female mouse needs to be alone due to aggression with other mice ,I got her with 3 other females (I even checked their genders before buying them so that I didn't get a male and they were all 100% females) that were her sisters ,I kept them in a 60 gallon long tank with 3 of everything for them plenty of hides and tubes and levels ,my ginger girl Ginger (wow such an original name) started to severely bully my two others and even killed one then I separated her from my black one Opal and once Opal was all healed up I got her 2 other mouse buddies and they get along fine but Ginger has always been a lone wolf ,shes also 10x friendlier with me then before
My biggest mistake was trying to handle my hamster straight away, I didn’t think and he was terrified of me for ages but luckily me and hazza and pretty awesome together now
Number 1 I did the same mistake and I realized on my THIRD hamster (right now) that it was really small so I moved it to a bin. Also I have a small cage (not too small) that I use for taming. Love you. ❤️
Perla Xoxo same! Except I realized in my second, the first one died from his cage-mate (another tragic mistake) I housed to dwarves together, but the other one is housed in a bin cage
I am so glad I did all my research before getting a hamster, but then again I am 21 now so I better be a responsible mama! but I will say your videos have been such a blessing!!!
Finally got to sit down and watch this love! First off it was so nice to see clips of your past hamsters from a long time ago:) xoxo i have made many mistakes in the past as well when i was younger and some of your stories are almost the same as mine lol 😂.. so glad we have all learned! Luv you!! Xoxo 😘
HammyLux I have my hammy living in a pet smart cage....but i also only have a 10 gallon tank i dont have the money for a new cage not even a diy bin cage what do i do?
My mistakes was using a mesh wheel. It was the only ones available to me at that time and I didn't even know it was bad. Luckily my hamster didn't get hurt. A mistake that annoys me more was the cage. I had an old aquarium which was a bit on the small side, so I went on a hamster forum to get a tip on a better cage. Those "experts" on the forum critized aquariums (and they were kind of rude about it too.) and pressured me into getting a cage with bars since it was *so* important that the hamster had space to climb and had a tall cage. I sat there kind of "but....my hamster likes to burrow..." and almost the entire thread answered me back with climbing being more important than burrowing. So I ended up with this ugly cage which ended up not being suitable at all. So little bedding and way to many places to fall from. I should have trusted my instincts on that one. My hamster would have been better off with the aquarium.
I had the cotton fluff and my hamster chibbi ate it when I first show it to him. 30 mins later he started peeing blood so i took him to the vets he's ok now
Back when I was a child, no one knew about forums or information on the internet. We literally relied on the pet stores for information. I have made some mistakes with my last hammys like not using the proper bedding, or wheel, or food, & providing a small amount of chews & maybe 1 hide (if the critter cage allowed) & using those clear balls 😩😭 I just got a hammy last week after not having them since then & I am so happy I was able to research & provide all of the proper items.
I think the putting hamsters together is a common mistake. Especially when you're new to owning them. You kind of feel bad that they are alone and you want to give them a friend. Its the best of intentions but in reality they are okay by their self lol.
Whit you can raise hamsters together if you do your research. They must have 2 of everything two wheels, waters, food dishes, etc. Its only been a problem when people dont do their research and know how to or if they put two adult hamsters in the same cage. They MUST be raised together as babies in order for it to work .
Leah, I just want to add that what you said only applies to dwarf hamsters...Syrian hamsters will fight to the death if housed together in adulthood, it doesn't matter if they're raised together as babies, or are related. And even dwarf hamsters often fall out and have to be separated. Keeping pairs of hamsters can be a stressful, trying experience
Whit ive raised several dwarf and syrian hamsters together from birth. And only one set of them have gotten into a fight to where they had to be seperated. I am a registered hamster breeder and its never been a problem except that one occasion in my whole 5 years of breeding. Ive had several syrians live together and its never been a problem. The same way we raise dogs and cats its been done the same way. Syrians actually live together in the wild and never have problems. Some hamsters are just not equipped to have a companion or live with others.
Oh gosh I remember my mistakes but I have been studying and learning about hamsters online in my spare time for 6+ years after my 2nd hamster and I feel that I am fully ready to get a new hamster :) Thank you for sharing!
I’ve lost my hamster once. It JuMpED from my dads hand behind the couch like a freaking kangaroo , we searched all night , and then I went to bed , but when I woke up I found Him in the cage. My dad said he would get water and go to bed , but when he went in th kitchen , the hamster darted out from under the pantry door. Oof
Hi, I used to own a tiny tales cage, and I loved it so much because it was a birthday present. I got my first ever hamster. She bit the bars constantly and I googled why. Then I found your video about the "comfy home" cage. At first I rebelled because I was so in love with the cage. I only had my first hamster for 4 months. Then I adopted my 2nd hamster and put him in the same cage. He bit the bars too. So I started watching your videos more and more. After one month of owning my 2nd hamster, I bought a glass aquarium cage for him. Thank you for everything...
it feels so comforting to see a hamster expert make the same mistakes that you did. thank you for letting me willingly do research so my new hamster has a better life than my old one
the biggest mistake i made was getting a critter trial cage and feeding it an unhealthy diet, she did end up living a good long 1.5 years though, however now that i have a lot more information about them i plan on getting another hamster and i plan on giving it the best life i can
Your not as bad as you think. I kept 2 gerbils in a cage that you use as a travel cage, fed them rabbit muesli, and didn’t have toys. And I gave one a bath by filling their cage up. Almost drowned them! Feel terrible. Bare in mind I was around 5.
When I first got my rats I had two in a tank 😳 but then I did more research once I got them home and then immediately bought a new cage and then one had babies and it was a huge situation lol
My mistakes checklist: Pine/cedar: Yes, cedar, I only used for a month with 1 hammy, she was Ok Tiny cages: Yes :'( I had habitrails with a few extensions and a crittertrail for years.... Honestly, my cage today is still pretty small, being a 325 sq inch bin.... At least they come out for hours a day and have access to there cages 24/7 Cotton fluff: No, luckily. I knew it was bad cuz my mum told me about her hammy that lost a leg due to it :'( Syrians play: Yeah, sadly. I had a syrian who would play all the time with my dwarf pair. They fought a bit, nothing too serious, except silly clover annoying and fighting the syrian Coco so much, she bit a small part of his ear off. My 2 syrian girls also played a bit, and would fight. I stopped now, but every now and then my mom has them meet with hands and i yell at her.... Wire wheel: Never, i knew that from the start... However, i do have a 6.5 for 1 syrian, cuz shes a runt and only 4 inches and my mum swears thats all she needs >:( LUCKILY WHERE MOVING OUT IN AT MOST A YEAR AND WE CAN GET 40 GALLON TANKS!!!
I'm 10 and I learn how to fix my mistakes by watching your videos , I already knew a good bit about them because I did a project about hamsters , you teach me so much about hamsters and I thank you!!! You help us protect our furry little angels!!! 🐹💖
Very funny Informitive Cute animals Talented Outsanding Right care I love you're vids Awesome over all!!! what does that spell? Victoria! how this was nice. I saw someone do this for cc26 so I made one for you're new name. also I'm getting a hamster and know the right cage and bedding (carefresh) and all that for my hamster. Can you give me a good idea for a hamster food/ diet? Thank you! 🐹 🐕 🐈 Long live hamsters!
i got my first hamster a year ago when i was thirteen, i still have her, and i’m so happy i did my research. I know have two hamsters, a robo (my first) and a russian dwarf i got a couple of months ago! They both live in separate zoozones (the russian in a ZZ2 and the robo in a ZZ1) and i’m getting Biscuit the robo an ikea detolf soon! I’m happy i did my research❤️
It really helps me to realize that if u made mistakes in the past that doesn’t determine how u should act now. Its really inspiring and makes me feel less bad about my old hamster care. BTW: i luv u Victoria
When I was little, my older brother bought a hamster (he didn’t live with us), but then he didn’t want it anymore, so he gave it to me and my parents. I didn’t even know anything about hamsters. I just suddenly received a pet without being told anything. Biggest mistake I ever made, but I’m glad it got me into hamsters.
I just got my first hamster, about 2 Christmas ago! He just passed last month :( But I have a baby hamster on the way! We are currently rebuilding a cage for my new little baby, and I'm also getting an 8 inch wheel of him, because my last hamster was a winter white dwarf and I do not want him playing on it, but anyways.... Surprisingly I only made a few mistakes 1. Was that I had my hamster Cage made out of pine 😭 and I noticed that blueberry (that's my hamster name) was balding in some spots...... and it took me awhile to realize that he was chewing on the pine.... and I tried to occupy him with toys while my current one was being built, and it did work so I moved him into a 20 gallon, and I think that was better for him because he was getting old and it was hard for him to move around, but sadly he passed before he got to see his new tank :( and the cage is on my insa btw @hailee997 it's far down tho it's a vid 😘 and btw ily!!!
Before I got my first hamster which was a week ago, I did lots or research. I found some great Channels Like You,Pickles, and Hammy. I learned what to do and what not to do before going supply shopping and purchasing one. One thing I need to do is upgrade his living space because right now he only has 360sq of floor space
When ever I have 2 hamsters in separate cages, I've never let them properly see each other. At the very least, I'd put one on top of the cage or hold it near outside for size comparisons. The only pair of hamsters I've ever had was my winter white dwarfs Ginger and Smokey. They lived together in a Rotastak cage, which I know now is too small. I didn't know at the time that if you have 2 dwarfs in a multi-levelled cage, they could become territorial over it, and that's exactly what happened. They fought to the point where Ginger ended up with a scratch on her nose, so I separated them. But since I didn't have the cages I had now, I divided the cage I had in half, which made it even smaller. If I hadn't found you or hopping hammy, I would basically still be in square 1 for hamsters, you've taught me so much and I'm very thankful for that. I've been watching you since you had Peach and Wasabi. I created my channel in October 2015 to help you two spread the correct knowledge for hamsters around the world! :)
i had my old hamster in a critter trail cause i didn’t know but he had a proper wheel, wood toys and better bottle of water but i miss him a lot. but you saved my 2 hamsters! when i first got them i put them in critter trails but now i have bin cages!
Hi Tori! I remember watching you about 3 years ago when your channel was still called ChocolateColors26 I remember ur old hamsters like pumpkin! I’m so happy to see how much you’ve grown since then. I’m sending lots of love ❤️
I had my first hamster when I was 10. He was a winter white dwarf named Leo. I made way to many mistakes with him but I was young and my mom didn't know much about hamsters either. Luckily he was a trooper and lived for about 2 years ♥ . Now I'm about to get another hamster (a Syrian this time) and I came across your channel and learned soooo much that I never knew and hopefully it will help my new hamster to have a long and happy life.
i have my first hamster rn and when i first got him he had a critter trail and scented bedding...... but now he has an aquarium and non-scented bedding.
Your videos help me SO much!! Tysm!! If your channel didn’t exist idk how many hamsters would be living in poor conditions! And I’m getting a hamster in about 1 week sooo I’ve done loads of research and I know what they get fed but I’m just watching all your vids so I can be a proper hamster parent!
Actually I made a pretty similar mistake when I was also younger. I used to think mine would fly so I threw it in a pool just in case it didn’t. He was okay later on but now that when I think about it I feel really bad.
Me too to most of yours! Especially the fluffy bedding, looks so cute and cosy and only now at 53 years old have I learned the danger of it! Hamish my hamster certainly has a much better hammy friendly life (spoiled) of course ❤
I've owned 4 hamsters before and I'm guilty of most of these mistakes. My fist cage was also this one 1:41 and I haven't had another hamster for about 4 years now and I've realized them and I will be getting a new hamster soonish. I will be fixing those mistakes and giving my little fuzz of energy a great life. Yours and hopping hammys videos have helped me. Thank you
Yeah it was the same with my mom who started owning hamsters when she was about 8/9. She knew the basic things, but she didn't know much. Unfortunately she gave them a small cage and cedar bedding and bought them from a pet store, because she didn't know any better. Now she loves caring for my hamster and will never give him anything without checking if it's safe first. :)
Made the mistake of letting my dwarf hamster loose in my room ( I covered every single possible hole) but my hamster was able to squeeze through and go on the side of the bed and took 30 min to get her back 😂
I had a hamster when i was 3.....I apparently STRANGLED it while holding and made it bite my brother I got my hamster 4 days ago and I'm SO HAPPY I did so so so much research before getting one.....you and hammylux helped so much and still do! He is living like a little rich boy😂
I did research on hamsters and my hamster only had to suffer for a week. I got a critter trail and later researched alternatives. I feel so glad for proper information on channels like these :) i also upgraded my wheel because a 6 inch is too small for my Syrian.
So I got a bigger cage for my hamster. And I sent a picture to my friend. And she said “ sense the cage is so big you should get two and have them be in the same cage.” And I told her “No, it’s not good to keep them in the same cage as each other. And that’s just a lot of money for food and toys and stuff like that.” Thanks to Victoria Raechel I know this now. 🥰
If hadn't had the best past with hamsters my first 5 lived in critter trails there while life and my 1st one was killed by my sister's dog 2nd one my sisters cat got it and my last 2 were killed by my dog who has died I left hamster keeping for about 4 years after that till 2016 when my dog died after I got my 6th hamster 2 months after my fifth I started learning about proper care but I was unable to get them bigger cages untill June or July this year when petco had the $1 per gallon sale but my 5th hammy died a week before I could get her a 40gal that day I went and bought my 6th hammy the 40gal and all the supplies sadly she past away during hurricane Harvey I woke up and she couldn't move I moved into a critter trail with lots of fleece to keep her warm till she passed now my 2 month old male mouse Aspen lives in the 40gal I'm very happy I moved him into the 40gal bc then I was able to adopt 2 senior mice but sadly one died 2 days after coming home becuse he had a heart problem and couldn't breathe good but the other one is perfectly fine
Good luck with your mouse! I had a male hairless mouse, and sadly he escaped, but the cat found him first. He was less than a year old. I hope you have better luck with yours.
I am honestly glad you did so you could teach us. And watching your videos has tough me and my daughters( my oldest daughter Paige loves you by the way) how to fix all the things we where doing wrong. Whoch is just about everything. We are changing everything as we speak. Thank you so much
When I was ten I decided I wanted a hamster. Unfortunately, a lot of online sites give wrong care information. I did put my hamster in a bin cage, I got her when I turned 13, but the cage was still under the bare minimum. thankfully now she's in a more suitable cage thanks to you.
thatcrazy girl here's some tips! 1: The "all my friends have a hamster" method 2. if you have a sibling, try to think of something super cool they have been allowed to do recently and say "but _____ got to ______so why can't I get something cool as well? 3. Show them cute hamster videos Hope this helps!
thatcrazy girl ask your parents all of the problems they have about getting you a hamster then find a solution to all of them that’s what I did and I got one
I made lots of mistakes to and your past hamsters are sooo cute. And I’m happy you did this video cause we all make mistakes and that’s ok all we have to do is fix them to make them right🤗
you just brought back my worst memory ever. I had a winter white Russian dwarf and another small hamster that I dont remember what he was. I had them in separate cages, but one day I was distracted and was putting my dwarf away and accidentally put him in the other's cage. I sat down and heard squeaking and went to separate them and got bit really aggressively and bled all over. I hated myself for that
I did do my research but I wasn't able to get a bin cage before I got my hamster, because we purchased her the same day that we didn't get a bin cage for her, so we had to use a crappy crittertrail. But now, she has her own cozy bin cage that's just a tad bit small, but she seems to be happy with it. But once tax return hits ima get her a new, nice big bin cage. :)
Victoria, I am like the mother who stalks her daughter. When we adopted our hamster a few weeks ago, thank God I watched your channel and avoided each of the mistakes . My hamsters cage is now connected to two very big cartons and I can't believe he won't even step into his cage at all.
I know it can be hard to make videos like this. But thank you so much for doing it! It's a great way for others (like me) to find out what not to do when getting a hamster :)
This morning I went to the pet store to get hamster supplies because I'm getting a Hamster on Saturday. I looked at the actual Hamsters and they had a very small cages maybe even 176 square inches. And then I saw that they were housing 4 or 5 black Syrian hamsters! I wasn't very happy when I saw this. And I'm super happy for you that you got a gecko! (even though this video was posted Sep 20, 2017)
I bought a huuuuge bag of shavings, 'economy'. I had the greatest hamster. He started shaking, wobbling, died. I brushed him off--a piece of sharp wood was in the shavings, had punctured him in his backside area. Devastating. I checked, the shavings had very many wood bits & sharp pieces in it, just from how they machined it. . I thought it was so smart to get the bigger bag for his ongoing comfort. I really miss him.
It's funny because I've been keeping hamsters since the late 1980s and there was kind of an underground hamsters scene through the local pet shops that you would learn new things from before Petsmart and Petco took over everything, but then again now we have the Internet so six of one 1/2 dozen of the other but anyway you kind of just back then felt what your hamster needed and tried to give it what it needed. Like bar chewing is obviously anxiety and stuff like that. My biggest regret is I did a lot of breeding of hamsters without really knowing what I was doing very well. I kept charts and I knew their genetics but still I don't feel I knew enough to be doing that... thanks for the video it made me remember way back when ~Mikey
I feel so bad, because I was such a bad hamster owner when I started out, and I had all the information, I was just too impatient. I could make a 10-15 minute video on all my mistakes :(. Great video by the way :D Don't worry, I am a good hamster owner now😊😅
I made so many too, before there was the internet. I feel awful and keep on wondering how they didn't end up sick or dead, but thankful they didn't end up sick or dead. Yaiks!
My first hamster lived in a crittertrail 2 level, and I didn’t know she was living in WAY too small of a cage, wheel, and terrible food until she passed and I got a new hammy. You have improved my hammers in so many ways, thank u so much!

Haha I think a lot of us have made the same mistakes! Imagine if we never learned and still cared for our hamsters that way :o oh no haha
Kammie's Fun Vlog Channel give him a lot of floor time until you get money
Kjj.
HammyLux I've seen one vid of yours
Oh, girl. I do not even know how many times I have accidentally left cages/tanks open. Luckily no one has escaped on me yet, but I feel that panic!
You learned from your mistakes, helping 227K people not make them❤️️
Keep up the good work Tori💕🐹💕
30 mins later he started peeing blood so i took him to the vets he's ok now
I'm glad you made up for your mistakes, I use your channel for studying about hamsters.
Thank you Tori for being honest about your mistakes!
Of course!
I think the putting hamsters together is a common mistake. Especially when you're new to owning them. You kind of feel bad that they are alone and you want to give them a friend. Its the best of intentions but in reality they are okay by their self lol.
when i was little the lady at petco said "oh yeah house em together" UHHH MINE KILLED MY SISTERS THAT WAS HARD FOR A SMALL CHILD
Molly M. Sorry.
Oh gosh I remember my mistakes but I have been studying and learning about hamsters online in my spare time for 6+ years after my 2nd hamster and I feel that I am fully ready to get a new hamster :) Thank you for sharing!
It’s okay to make mistakes, that’s how we learn! We love you and your hammies!!
i didn’t make mistakes because i watched pretty much every video you have before purchasing my hamster 💕. you doing an AMAZING job educating people!
When being a kid I didn’t know that bathing hamsters was bad 😅 I feel so mean with now being 23 ops ......
I refuse to believe you are 23...
it feels so comforting to see a hamster expert make the same mistakes that you did. thank you for letting me willingly do research so my new hamster has a better life than my old one
Im working to upgrade my hamster cage and i wouldn't be doing that without your help. You really taught me a lot thank you so much Victoria💗💗💗💗💗💗
That's so great to hear!
the biggest mistake i made was getting a critter trial cage and feeding it an unhealthy diet, she did end up living a good long 1.5 years though, however now that i have a lot more information about them i plan on getting another hamster and i plan on giving it the best life i can
When I get my hamster, I don't think I'll do many things wrong! Your videos are really helpful! :)
Your not as bad as you think. I kept 2 gerbils in a cage that you use as a travel cage, fed them rabbit muesli, and didn’t have toys. And I gave one a bath by filling their cage up. Almost drowned them! Feel terrible. Bare in mind I was around 5.
I am so glad that I did my research before getting my rats
Same here for when i got my rabbits haha
When I first got my rats I had two in a tank 😳 but then I did more research once I got them home and then immediately bought a new cage and then one had babies and it was a huge situation lol
Ratty Friends aww
Ratty Friends rats?
@@dontreadmyprofilepicture3768 um yeh? What do you mean😂
My mistakes checklist:
Pine/cedar: Yes, cedar, I only used for a month with 1 hammy, she was Ok
Tiny cages: Yes :'( I had habitrails with a few extensions and a crittertrail for years.... Honestly, my cage today is still pretty small, being a 325 sq inch bin.... At least they come out for hours a day and have access to there cages 24/7
Cotton fluff: No, luckily. I knew it was bad cuz my mum told me about her hammy that lost a leg due to it :'(
Syrians play: Yeah, sadly.
However, i do have a 6.5 for 1 syrian, cuz shes a runt and only 4 inches and my mum swears thats all she needs >:(
LUCKILY WHERE MOVING OUT IN AT MOST A YEAR AND WE CAN GET 40 GALLON TANKS!!!
My biggest mistake was that I gave my hamster cotton balls and she passed away 10 days after I got her I feel so bad 😭
Aw :(
JuicyTomatoes aww
Im so sorry
Rip little fluff ball 😟
I'm 10 and I learn how to fix my mistakes by watching your videos , I already knew a good bit about them because I did a project about hamsters , you teach me so much about hamsters and I thank you!!! You help us protect our furry little angels!!! 🐹💖
Very funny
Informitive
Cute animals
Talented
Outsanding
Right care
I love you're vids
Awesome over all!!!
what does that spell? Victoria! how this was nice. I saw someone do this for cc26 so I made one for you're new name.
also I'm getting a hamster and know the right cage and bedding (carefresh) and all that for my hamster. Can you give me a good idea for a hamster food/ diet?
Thank you! 🐹 🐕 🐈
Long live hamsters!
Cian was it a good hammy?
I’ve learned so much from you, hopefully I’ve made no mistakes so far 😣 but I watch a lot of your videos before getting one so thanks!
My worst mistake was putting my hamster in one of those small cages and then I quickly moved him over to a bin cage
Thank you for being able to tell us your past mistakes and how you fixed them. Very helpful for a new owner!
i got my first hamster a year ago when i was thirteen, i still have her, and i’m so happy i did my research.
Thank you for being so honest here.
R.I.P Spice
Guys spice has sadly passed away according to tori’s instagram 😔
Buddy looks like my first hamster, Mickey!
Your videos have helped our family start out properly from the get-go, thank you!
Happy to hear that!
I made sure to do my research before I got a hamster. Your vids helped a lot,
Your videos help me SO much!! Tysm!! If your channel didn’t exist idk how many hamsters would be living in poor conditions!
And I’m getting a hamster in about 1 week sooo I’ve done loads of research and I know what they get fed but I’m just watching all your vids so I can be a proper hamster parent!
I'm really glad I could help!
I'm glad I'm studying before getting a pet hamster!
Hamster Seed did you get the pfp from the hamster dance song
I haven't got a big cage , but try to interact with my hamster as much as i can. I also set up a play area for her to run around in
My biggest hamster mistake is throwing my hamster on the floor, thinking it would bounce.. I was 7.
I feel bad for laughing, are you serious?
Your friend Lettuce, sadly, yes.
his name was Leaf.
Actually I made a pretty similar mistake when I was also younger. I used to think mine would fly so I threw it in a pool just in case it didn’t. He was okay later on but now that when I think about it I feel really bad.
I VANT STOP LAUGIJNG ID THAT BAD
Omg I'm laughing and can't stop but I know it's wrong.
Me too to most of yours! Especially the fluffy bedding, looks so cute and cosy and only now at 53 years old have I learned the danger of it! Hamish my hamster certainly has a much better hammy friendly life (spoiled) of course ❤
When I was little I thought the toobs went in the cage!!! LOL.
Made the mistake of letting my dwarf hamster loose in my room ( I covered every single possible hole) but my hamster was able to squeeze through and go on the side of the bed and took 30 min to get her back 😂
I had a hamster when i was 3.....I apparently STRANGLED it while holding and made it bite my brother
I got my hamster 4 days ago and I'm SO HAPPY I did so so so much research before getting one.....you and hammylux helped so much and still do! He is living like a little rich boy😂
Me when i was young never heard of wire mesh wheel and never see them;-;
I did research on hamsters and my hamster only had to suffer for a week. I got a critter trail and later researched alternatives. I feel so glad for proper information on channels like these :) i also upgraded my wheel because a 6 inch is too small for my Syrian.
So early!! I relate to almost all of these😬😂💓
Loki TheHamster why did you stop making videos i loved them !!
So I got a bigger cage for my hamster. And I sent a picture to my friend. And she said “ sense the cage is so big you should get two and have them be in the same cage.” And I told her “No, it’s not good to keep them in the same cage as each other. And that’s just a lot of money for food and toys and stuff like that.”
Thanks to Victoria Raechel I know this now. 🥰
when i was 4 i hugged my fish.. it died
I’m so glad when I got my first hamster they were so many helpful forums and RUclips channels
still waiting on the gecko 😁
Saturdayyyyyyy :D
Curtis Lasane what!!!!
I am so lucky I learnt from you!! I did get rid of the fluff stuff a couple hours ago for me because I watched one of your videos
That's great!!
That was a lot of hamsters
Good luck with your mouse! I had a male hairless mouse, and sadly he escaped, but the cat found him first. He was less than a year old. I hope you have better luck with yours.
That1Freak whew chile that's a lot of hamster deaths maybe just stick to dogs & cats poor hammys😭
I had a stroke reading this
I am honestly glad you did so you could teach us. And watching your videos has tough me and my daughters( my oldest daughter Paige loves you by the way) how to fix all the things we where doing wrong. Whoch is just about everything. We are changing everything as we speak. Thank you so much
When you're early and don't know what to commentskkdjd
same
When I was ten I decided I wanted a hamster. Unfortunately, a lot of online sites give wrong care information. I did put my hamster in a bin cage, I got her when I turned 13, but the cage was still under the bare minimum. thankfully now she's in a more suitable cage thanks to you.
i really want to get a hamster for xmas but i dont know how to convince my parents
I have a video all about convincing your parents for a hamster!
thatcrazy girl research a ton and then make a PowerPoint
thatcrazy girl Ikr! My parents wont let me :(
thatcrazy girl here's some tips!
1: The "all my friends have a hamster" method
2. if you have a sibling, try to think of something super cool they have been allowed to do recently and say "but _____ got to ______so why can't I get something cool as well?
3. Show them cute hamster videos
Hope this helps!
thatcrazy girl ask your parents all of the problems they have about getting you a hamster then find a solution to all of them that’s what I did and I got one
I made lots of mistakes to and your past hamsters are sooo cute. And I’m happy you did this video cause we all make mistakes and that’s ok all we have to do is fix them to make them right🤗
Helpful vid
you just brought back my worst memory ever. I hated myself for that
Hahahaha I didn't make any mistakes.
because I did my research.
That's great :)
Glorious.
Many people got their first pet at a young age, when you don't even think about that.
The MOC Reviewer same
I did do my research but I wasn't able to get a bin cage before I got my hamster, because we purchased her the same day that we didn't get a bin cage for her, so we had to use a crappy crittertrail. But now, she has her own cozy bin cage that's just a tad bit small, but she seems to be happy with it. But once tax return hits ima get her a new, nice big bin cage. :)
Victoria I wanna thank u cause your yhe reason our hamsters are still alive love u Victoria
I had my first hamster when I was seven, that was a HUGE mistake
Soph DIY same
I am so glad she actually tells us her mistakes and doesn’t try to hide stuff
Wait lol did you remember to do this because HoppingHammy made the same video? Lol :3
Haha yeah! I was like I'm pretty sure I was supposed to do this video 🤔 Then I found Erins video again and found my comment 😂
I see that you like melanie martinez
Olivechan :3
Victoria Raechel lol
xX Crybaby x Melanie Xx CRYBABIES UNITE!
It's great that you finally got to do this this will hopefully inspire others to do this video
Thank you!
Hi! I am new to owning a hamster and I have taken your advice. I would like to learn more. A lot more! Keep up the good work!
Thank you!
I really miss him.
even though i hate them, i always watch the ads in the beginning just to give you those extra cents ♡ love from me and my winter white Mochi
Great video by the way :D Don't worry, I am a good hamster owner now😊😅
it's okay we've all made mistakes!
I'm glad i could help!
My biggest hamster mistake was never having had a hamster before, they are so adorable and cool I was missing out!
its ok! Mistakes is how we learn!💖
at school we sing a song that mistakes are okay.. everybody makes mistakes its okay. you just have to try your best everyday!
