Really odd thing I just discovered... at that speed 671 FPS the FPE is the exact same as the weight of the projectile in grains... 15.89 Grains at 671 FPS = 15.89 FPE // 115.89 Grains at 671 FPS = 115.89 FPE // 57.29 Grains at 671 FPS = 57.29 FPE I thought the airgun calculator was broken at first but its just a magic FPS number
For the money the UTG Accushoot 3-12 or 4-16X44 SF/SFP scopes are really solid and come mount ready with rings and caps out of the box and well under 150$. I have them on several of my PCPs and never a single problem with any of them. The 3-12 is perfect for the NOTOS too.
Diana rated it at 20 FPE, I’m close to 18, as the pellets get lighter the energy is going up, I just don’t have a decent pellet that’s any lighter to test my theory. I’ve shot one with a bad seal. It was in the 400’s and not very consistent.
There is definitely something going on. That gun is way underpowered for what it is. It's shooting where my LGU is. And my LGU is much more accurate. As that gun is shooting consistently and accurately, it has a bad/broken spring. It needs a rebuild for sure.
i like your clip's allot ..old school and new school..very good. And yeah springer's I have a hatsan QE 125 Sniper .25cal..I do the same hold ..😃 But ..after 5 shot's (it is very heavy to break ) my result's go down in grouping ..so yeah i know what you ment .etc
Have you ever tried a hammer scope on a springer I've had no problems from the hammer scopes pretty decent scope for the price for a spingers and magnum springers
Hi nice video...Ive seen you also got the RWS 54 model...what do you think is best, the underlever or the sidelever? Im Just talking performance-wise, not aesthetics...just a quick note, is that 670ish FPS a little slow for this gun? Cheers, I like your videos
Thanks. I’d have liked to see a bit more speed. Some have said a lighter pellet will yield proportionately more FPE. I have the 48, not the 54. I like the side-lever better. I was able to shoot it more accurately.
I have yhe dame gun. Best pellets are the same, JSB 15.9, but domed. I consistently get about 2 to 2.5 inches at 50 yards 5 shot group. Best longer range shot at 90 yards 3 shot group 3.5 inches. Exact same hold, open palm on bag. Biggest complaint is the weight, much lighter without the scope, but I'm not as accurate unfortunately.
I don't know about the 460 But i have X2 Diana 48/52's and love them..But the Grub Screws that hold the Barrel Sleeves/ Shrouds over the Barrels tend to work their way loose over time when Shooting them ( I think it's the Shock or Vibration of the mechanism when you fire it Travelling down the Barrel working them loose) This does throw off the Accuracy..But a few drops of Thread Seal seems to have done the trick !
@@WiscAirGunners I have also found this to be a Major Issue with the Underlever / Spring Version of the Diana Mauser 98K that came out a few years ago ( Thread Lock) Has Hopefully Sorted the issue..For now! ..Good Luck with your Shooting Pal
@johnjayapal9390 On my Old Original Firebird 48/52 I got my local Gunsmith to take the Barrel Shroud off and cut a 'Dovetail Groove ' into the Barrel Shroud and Barrel so they match up and Hold it firmly in place then on the Foresight I literally Put some 'Thread weld' on the retaining Screw and Tightened it up as tight as I could!( A year later its Still Holding ok!🙏) and the sleeve doesn't Move! ..The other Rifle is a model 98K Mauser Made by Diana and has pretty much the same Mechanism as the 460 ( bar different Furniture) the Barrel Shroud was always coming loose and I literally sorted this out by Tightening up the End Screw on the Barrel ( where you can put a Moderator) as Tight as possible and on the Foresight doing the same as on my 48/52 With Thread Weld ..The 'Newer' mod 52 i removed the Barrel sleeve and put a Wafer thin strip of Leather around the Barrel Shroud at the bottom of it and literally Hammered it back into the 'plastic'Shroud / Swage that's just in front of the Breec on top of the foregrip ..So far its held it ok I think over time these parts become worn Just like most things in life Unfortunately and either need replacing or like in my case 'Bodging' somehow. They all hold on ok for now But the Best job was the 'Dove tailing ' done by my Local Gunsmith and Thanks to Him my 'Firebird ' Should be good for some time to come! As for the Thread Weld if you need to remove it you need to heat up theScrew Somehow so as to soften it before you try unscrewing it! Hope this Helps Pal and Happy Shooting!👍😉
I had some that I tried earlier, but I think they were old and had quite a bit of oxidation on them so they weren't the best. Others have suggested that as an option.
That depends on where in the world you are located and what the legalities are. DonnyFL has dealers across the globe, and there are other good brands out there too.
800fps is more what de mod.48 does with 14gn. I've checked the Diana partsbooks before. The mainspring of the 460 and the mod.34 share the same parts number, hence the similar power levels. A mod.48 spring could theorethically fit in a 460, but the hinge-pin might be a bit too weak to handle the cocking-force of a heavier spring.
@WiscAirGunners after the 3rd one I sold it. They are junk. I need a scope that is always ready to go. I put a Vortex Diamondback tactical 6-24x50 FFP scope on the TX200. I used BKL triple strap mounts. That is a good set up.
'Arrester pins' is the proper terminology that I think you were looking for 😊👍

Actually the 460 Magnum should have gone about 800 FPS in 15 grain pellets..
I read the specs, but report the results based on the rifle I received to test.

That scope and mounts are not doing you any favors. Nothing UTG makes is of any value.
This particular rifle destroyed another scope from another company in short order, and this one has held up.
