@@Freundm30117 I use a Quantum Edge 3 power chair. Wonderful transport. My OT told me to get the gel matrix cushion. It’s a bit more money, but WELL worth the money. I can sit in it all day with no issues
@@matthewwilson9749 I have a Permobil Corpus F3 and it is about the same size as yours. Did you get that cushion from Quantum or just buy it off the Internet?

Something like this is going to be hard to review because I think it boils down to individual preferences but you did a great job of covering the pros & cons of each. Gives people a place to start
I have an identical version of that foam cushion. One issue with it is that it gets rock hard in the winter if left in the car.
I bought the Everlasting Comfort cushion 4 years ago, and my sciatica nerve pains went away. The company has a Lifetime Product warranty and I just noticed some cracks forming in the foam. Made a warranty claim and another one is on its way for free! For how often I am using my computer chair, 4 years isn't too bad and neither is being pain free! It might be a little firmer, but memory foam adapts to your shape from your body temperature. I would say it is probably better for use indoors and as an office chair.

Great video and the timing is perfect as I was in the market for one. I agree that the memory foam cushion seems best for indoor use. By the way....LOVED the ducks coming to you for a bite to eat. We feed them cracked corn as a healthy treat. Try it and you'll be smiling 😊🦆🦆

I have 2 everlasting comfort cushions. I've had multiple surgeries on my lumbar/sacral area, and the cut out part of this cushion is important! Using this is the only way I can sit for more than 30 minutes.
It is too high for the car though. Still looking for something suitable for driving.

Had a tail bone injury and the Everlasting Comfort was a godsend to let me sit again normally. Didn't really care about softness...it was all about that gap!
Ironically, the Dr. Air looks exactly like a small pair of jeans/pants!

i have a everlasting comfort foam cushion and i can confirm that yes it is fairly firm even for my 240lb husky build when first sat on.. though will note over time and body heat it does soften to a point where i'm on it for hours and hours on end on a gaming chair with little issue... i will think about one of the gel cushions maybe in the future.. but a great review and stay safe
This seems like another item to test alongside the other two you had testing pillows. Would be good to see a range of body types to compare with!
I have the foam one and stopped using it. Need to return it actually. The problem is that it's not very deep, so my legs tend to hang over its edge and it really bothers the nerves in my legs. So much so that at night I have very annoying tingles, like pins and needles that run through my leg.
I have the SnugPad for my computer chair and another brand for my car. I don't
know the brand but it's 5" deep and I'm under 4' and my car is 21+ years old so I
need it to see over the steering wheel. Works for me and it's gel, but it's smaller in
width so wouldn't work for most people. Love your reviews and I have counted on
them since finding your videos. Love watching even if I'm not looking to buy anything.

I have a foam cushion similar to the Everlasting Comfort. I bought it for my computer desk chair but I felt like I was being pushed forward. It has a new home in my car where the extra height helps this little old lady see over the steering wheel.🤣

I laugh looking at all of those cushions. I bought huge foam cushions on Amazon for my wooden dining room chairs. I think 8" or more thick. Then, I took a box knife and cut them into a chair shape and then attached velcro straps on them and I absolutely love it.
I also have the big thick purple one. The Cadillac of cushions and it was the only one that made my sciatica better while driving.
Air cushions typically leak over time so I would be leery. I have a thick memory foam cushion and it makes me sit up too high in my car. The thinner gel cushion seems interesting. You can take it out of the case and put a towel over it to minimize the impressions left on your legs. It seems like the best bet for a car seat cushion.

I've had the Everlasting Comfort since Sep 4 2020. I neither like it or hate it.
My main issue, is that right now, the cover has moved around, and the zip kind of digs into my thighs.
I have the gray thick one and use it in my car because I am so short. I love it!

I love my everlasting comfort cushion. It has pretty much eliminated my back pain. I absolutely don't mind the firmness or the height... Infact, I never even thought about it until you mentioned it. I guess I like my pillows, beds, seats etc a bit on the firmer side now that I think about it... That one is my favorite one...
I did try the dr.air and did not like it for precisely the reason you mentioned - I could feel the air pockets and I would kind of slide and feel awkward when I moved around ... And I have never liked the gel cushions.. Can't sit on them ... feels wierd because of the texture.

I was rooting for the gel from the start. I think a nice terrycloth or velour...heck maybe even cotton....cover for it would be nice. Terrycloth should work great.

I have the back joy which is totally different. Nice when I get it proper but doesnt help when I get it wrong. Got it years ago when I fractured my tail bone
Watching this video while sitting on my Purple seat cushion, now about 5 years old and still comfy. Unfortunately, my desk chair is losing lumbar support so it may be time for a new desk chair later this year.

Just minding my business, watching your video as soon as I can, and enjoying the review. You mentioned one of my favorite all time bands of the 80s, King? Didn't they make "Love and Pride" I frickin' loved that song. I mean, I still do, but I used to, too. :)
I have a couple of the foam ones. I pretty much only use it on really long car rides. The added hight is annoying and you may have to sit on it weird to avoid cutting off circulation in your legs.
That being said, it absolutely saves my tail bone on super long car rides. (CT-IL) it's not perfect, but an unbearable car ride without it. Never tried the air or gel, but maybe I'll have to?
You never really know how well it works until you sit on wooden bleachers for an hour and a half 😂
Try some metal bleachers for winter football games! THEN you will beg for a cushion! HA HA
You picked your favorite of the 3, but what wasn’t answered for me is whether you’d keep using any of these cushions after the testing ends. For example, if you had to drive to Grand Junction tomorrow would any of make the trip with you? How about on your desk chair if you needed to do a day long project?

I have a similar gel cushion, and I believe you're meant to place the bump side down. Should help with the sliding issue in the car.
Yeah, I think it was meant to be used on the opposite side that he used it because of the finer mesh design.
I may be wrong, but think the gel cushion was designed to be used with the large honeycomb openings facing down, not up like you used it. You can probably cut out a slot like the other two have with a stout pair of scissors for tailbone relief.

I’ve sat on loads of these cushions over the years on digger, dumper, machinery seats etc at work. The air ones tend to leak eventually especially from heavy use. The memory foam ones are decent to be fair and are pretty hard wearing. I reckon the gel ones are the best though.

And air cushion can be an invaluable asset to adding something like a incredibly hard motorcycle seats that are out there that plus a purple pad on my FJR 1300 allowed me to ride comfortably upwards of 850 miles one day never having a problem with my rear hurting where without those pads I can go about 5 MI or with just the purple pad I can do about 50 to 100 miles.. by the way the one that people usually use on their motorcycle is called an Air hawk but I one time did a trip across the country buying a $19 self-inflating pad that I got on Amazon
I need something to enhance firm car seats without turning to jelly in the hot summer and turning hard in the cold winter. I also don't want to roll around on it when cornering. Maybe the air-filled one?
wth are the gaps in the back of the cushion for? id rather have a full pad than one with a gap liek that in it.
Go to like Walmart or if there’s one in your area dollar tree and buy a roll of non-slip material. you can cut it to fit on your car seat. put the gel cushion in the cover on top of that, you won’t be slipping and sliding anywhere. I use the nonslip stuff for quite a few different things, and like I say if there’s a dollar tree near you, a 6 foot roll is one dollar. I got a memory foam cushion exactly like the one you got for 1395 You paid way too much $50 that’s freaking criminal.
That thickness and firmness of the foam cushion might be helpful for a heavier person?

I have the purple. I use it daily 10+ hours a day. I alro drive long haul.
However my co-driver doesn't like it at all you thinks it's too squishy.

There is a reason why paraplegic use gel as they have to sit a very long time, they have velcro to stop them sliding around.
Just a suggestion, a towel can be thrown over the gel cushion to prevent the imprints from happening.
The gel cushion has many little compartments which helps spread pressure across everywhere you are sitting. These compartments make it much easier for your heart to pump blood through your body where you have pressure applied as each "chamber" is filled with blood then gets pushed through to the next cushion "cell" making the progress of the blood flow through high sitting pressure areas a multi step process when sitting down instead of a single shot attempt by your heart.
If you sit on these and don't have sensory problems you will find you can feel your blood pulse through your body where you are sitting because the flow is making it everywhere instead of creating areas where blood flow is basically cut off because of the pressure of sitting on those locations.
The gel also retains heat but promotes air flow so the extra heat helps circulation and that heat won't result in a damp place which can cause problems if you have a current sore or are prone to getting one or a infection from moisture.
These cushions usually come with two covers. I use them, and they hold up very well.
If you use a cover you'll not have a chance to snag anything like clothes, bandages, or other objects on the cover as it is quite a tight weave and resists snagging other objects.
These Thermo-formed Gel cushions come with different harnesses of gel and you can get them thick or thin from an inch to 4 inches with most brands. So if you test out something in the middle of firmness and thickness you can determine if you want thicker or thinner and firmer or softer.
I'm thankfully a healthy person with a good functioning body but even I can tell these little gel cushions are highly beneficial if you have to spend time sitting.

You should probably compare and review some office chairs after seeing that gaming chair you're using. Gaming chairs are just horrible for comfort! As a start I'd suggest looking into Serta's office chairs. They make one that has a dynamic lumbar support system based on your sitting position that is phenomenal. In all honesty though almost any office chair is going to feel better than a gaming chair, I don't think you'd regret looking into some other options.
Just gotta eat more and build up that natural cushion.
The Gel Cushion was placed on the wrong side. The dotted side is the "non slip" bottom. After watching this video, I also noticed myself.. that I was sitting on my Purple Seat Cushion on the opposite side, and it was slipping a lot.
How about comparing a five battery operated/rechargeable compressed air dusters?
Not really a ringing endorsement of any of them. I'm always looking for a better cushion. Keep searching and reviewing!

i can almost say for sure if you buy a cheap one that has a wooden seat it will be junk within a year, i bought a Noble chair 5 years ago and it is exactly the same as it was when it was new, its rated for 350 lbs. im 200lbs which brings me to this point the seat is a hard foam like a car seat and this video is very helpful cause you might need one of these pads

I was looking for a seat cushion & lo & behold, there this was under my subscriptions. Now, as I am both heavy, & have no butt (seriously weird, yet true). Everything hurts to sit on after a bit. Got the Purple on the way!
