    It seems like a seat cushion would destroy the point of buying an expensive ergonomic office chair, unless the adjustments can keep you in the right posture even sitting a bit higher. Keep up the good work i literally made my office set up based off this channel so thanks!

      Some people require the extra cushion or the cutout for their tailbone. Honestly, the ones on the market today have a lot more issues and for most, I would tend to agree with what you said. Thanks for the positive feedback, glad we could help! -GK

    Great video!
    I wish the chair manufacturers would just add better padding in the first place. This product is just a sign that the manufacturers aren't doing their job properly. It seems like there is a massive gap in the chair market that someone could swoop in and make good money from.

    I have a cheap, a Purple, and a Cushion Lab. I take them from my car to the office, but I spend 3 days a week driving all day and my Purple cushion shrank from the heat in the summer. Before it shrank I still found it a bit narrow, but it was the best driving pillow. My Cushion Lab is great in any chair. It's quite thick for the car, so I ordered the car one on Black Friday. Depending on my back pain I do still substitute the cheap pillow in the rotation. I have 2 office chairs, 3 pillows, and a standing/electric desk.

    I have a cheap IKEA office chair for$130 and have had terrible tailbone pain from sitting on it and I got the Waoaw cushion and it was awesome for the first couple of hours sitting on it but, It just wasn’t quite thick or long enough for me. I upgraded to the Large Cushion Lab seat and OMG it is perfect! No pain at all no matter how long I sit. I am 6ft 220lbs and it holds my weight just fine.

    I have Purple cushion too. It is comfortable to sit on, but like you said, an hour or so into it you start to sink, and if you lean back in your chair, eventually the cushion starts to shift forward in the seat and then my butt ends up being halfway on the cushion and the chair, it is an extremely annoying feature. I may give Cushion Lab a try.

    I can personally attest to everything you say about the Purple Double Seat cushion. I initially bought mine when we were moving cross country back in late 2020 and my car's seats were making my butt and tailbone really tired (if that makes sense). I saw the Purple cushions at a Loves Travel Stop and decided to pick it up. Initially, it was amazing and a godsend, but, as you point out, the warmer it was the squishier it would feel. That was passable in my car's relatively fixed bucket seats but as soon as I moved it to my office chair, the issues with squish and the gel's malleability really presented themselves.
    I'm planning on picking up the Cushion Lab cushion for my desk chair and will keep the Purple on hand for future road trips.

Im sure they're good, even great for back support but why cant they make them good for back support AND be fucking comfortable to sit on. Just make the pad thicker man literally. Great review! Appreciate it very much. I went with the Cushion Lab and it is fabulous, except for the very back part that curves up, as you'd mentioned. I just scoot forward a bit so that part isn't quite touching me... otherwise it throws off my posture a bit and causes me some low back pain. But, otherwise, it is perfect. Many thanks to you for your review!

    Awesome review. The sliding feel to the gel cushion when you lean back and how it reacts to temperature changes is a deal breaker for me. The whole point of cushion is to provide controlled support, not to get you into awkward position when you least expect it.

    Great review. Already wasted 30 bucks on the cheap version. Struggling with a gaming chair atm. You called it bottoming out. I have that issue when sim racing. My legs are elevating causing my tailbone to become the point of contact in the seat. So trying to find a pad that supports my thighs in a racing position. that is why car seats are so heavily tilted back and not flat like a desk chair.

  • @bradle4162

    I've always wondered if they help people sit cross legged more comfortably. A lot of the chairs I aspire to get have a hard material contour like the Aeron. It was the main reason why I didn't buy a Mirra 2. A seat cushion might make the overall seat more flat and your legs not so up against the contours.

    • @Malinkadink
      @Malinkadink 3 месяца назад

      I bought a steelcase gesture cause i like to move around and alternate sitting cross legged and its perfect for that. However after two years the foam where most of my weight sits has really flatted which is why i'm looking at seat cushions to alleviate that.

    I bought the everlasting comfort and used it on my leap for about a year, it wasn't to bad for what I gave for it witch was 30 at the time, it kept my bottom and legs from hurting for awhile but It is little small like you said but i noticed it starting to wear out some over time so I upgraded to the ultimate purple seat witch was 130, it's really thick and very good and doesn't bottom out on me and I'm 240 pounds, but I do have 1 compliant and that is if you wear thin clothing and if you get hot and sweat the seat cushion can leave little squares on your bottom that can hurt a little but with like jeans I never experienced that problem, but overall in my experience I think there both good for what they are, there not perfect but if your chair gives you pain I'd recommend them

    • @btodtv
      @btodtv  2 года назад +1

      The one we tried is the double cushion, which is about .5" thinner than the Ultimate which you use. The Ultimate is quite a bit larger as well, which I can definitely see how that would make the experience better. What are your thoughts when you recline in the chair? -GK

    • @kombat36o6

      When I recline I'd say even with the ultimate the seat still slides some like you said yours did in the video, it don't seem to move much on me when I recline but I can tell it does move some, also everytime you get out of it it does slide, my 5 year old son knocks the whole thing in the floor when he tries to get out of it, I like the ultimate but I have to keep moving it back everytime I get up

      Yes you’ll sit in the chair differently. Higher than normal I’d say. If you have a Aeron with no cushion it makes a huge difference. I use to sit in a folding chair before the Aeron and steelcase gesture chairs I currently have. The best part about it you can bring it with you because it has a nice adjustable strap. I can’t link it to RUclips from Amazon unfortunately, RUclips will delete my response. If you buy from Amazon you have 30 days to return it . It’s definitely worth a try imo.
