As someone who knows very little about the online artist world, and much less about the commissions process, this has to be one of the funniest videos I watched in a long time. There's nothing more satisfying then a scammer getting scammed.
This is legit the first vid I found on my home page and I already love this as a first introduction. Genuinely made my morning so much better considering I'm sick af with a cold
On a side note, I had a genuine offer for a 3D work commission worth $2-3k for 3D artist who was open for commissions. I believe they must have had a bad experience before and were extremely paranoid about accepting genuine offers too. It's really sad that artists and people who appreciate their work miss out on so many opportunities because of so many scammers.
I've had the opposite happen to me where an "artist" contacts me and asks me a bunch of stupid questions. Stuff like "Do you have an OC?" or "What's your favorite character?" this is usually after like me just saying Hi back. They usually spam me with clearly stolen artwork because each image can be reverse image searched and the style varies by an insane amount that it's clear that the art isn't theirs to begin with. Often times the art work isn't even that great, like it looks like something someone does for work on fiverr. After the forced conversation they go "do you want me to draw art for your OC/Fav characters?" and for the first time I went "yes sure do whatever you want" then they hit me with "I'll do it for $200." From there I'm just like "oh no thanks I thought you meant for free" and they respond with "ok maybe $30 instead?" Like bro you must be the most insecure artist ever if you're just gonna fold that quick. I just shut them down and they usually go away. This has happened at least 2-3 times already to me and I swear it has to be the same guy because they open with the same intro every time. I've even looked at how many accounts he has and it's close to a dozen that I've found. I've tried to contact the actual artists that this guy steals from, most of them are like actual small timers (less than 300 followers) but there was this one time where I found some guy's fiverr account and told him. He just responded with "it's fine as long as he makes money from my work it's whatever." That response had my head spinning the entire day.

I actually have some personal experience regarding this too. I received an "Artist" role in a public discord because I shared a re-sprite I did on a whim. Sometime later a scammer on that server contacted me and asked if I would be willing to join their "game dev project" and draw them sprite art and that I would be "compensated when the project is complete and making money".
It shows they do some research into who they target, but not the full due diligence, since I don't have any links to my non-existent works or to my socials like real artists have.
The first one with aqua made me feel like i was in imminent danger like a giant buff scammer was running twords me
the third one saying "if you fall 4 this ur an idiot" 😭
"brightest shade on the color wheel" is my new phrase i love it
The little eyebrow raises at 27:14 absolutely killed me the poses you made for the script readers are incredible. Probably my favorite part of the vid
'But hunny buns' 😩
I’m loving the art you made for this video! Your art style is super soft and eye catching, the colour pallet specifically really suits you and your personality.
Thank you so much!!
Wait...boyfriend...and girlfriend..have I found another poly person in the wild? Also..I have definitely gotten one of these but i was super naive and thought it was real. Figured it out when we got to discussion of payment. Anyway..these were great! 😀
@@polyweird my first poly relationship yes. If they were to break up with me I would go back to being fully monogamous tho. I just love both of them too much.

"art scammers .... are bad"
Whaaaao that's some spicy takes you got there, CANCEL THEM RIGHT NOW /j
I dealt with one the other day. She was trying guilt trip me into buying a commissions. Even though i told her i can draw and color my art, myself. But no, her kept saying she's struggling on bills and asked if i could pay $150
@@wijinsama That’s awful I’m so sorry. Those kinds of scams are so manipulative.

Get well soon! I’m glad I could help even a little bit!
The first NFT scammer interaction went to some interesting directions 😂 😅 funny way to deal with them!
You definitely know the best ways to screw over a scammer lol 😂
As someone whose hoping to draw stuff for commissions. This was actually really useful for me. I'll be sure to keep an eye out for scammers!
The inherent disgust in calling yourself an influencer was an instant sell for me, got yourself a new subscriber
The Hazbin reference was GOLD!
14:25 the way she struggled to read it and then the "bleh" is funny to me
The way you were talking to the fourth scammer is hilarious 🤣🤣🤣
Sometimes when i get human scammers ill just straigh up say
"If you do not unfollow me in the next 5 minutes ill send some shit that will get us both on the CIA watchlist"
"the CIA watchlist". That's good.
25:19 "Safeguarding against unauthorized replication or forgery" coming from the mfs who literally steal art from ppl to sell as NFTs took me OUT ngl 💀😂

Most of the time animal crossing is accurate with wildlife stuff, except for the gold and blue roses as those colors aren't natural. But yes, green mums do exist irl, I used to actually sell mums for my school.
