Olive pearl on clear days and black and gold on cloudy days or if the water is dirty. It's the only 2 I use lol. Rainbows seem to prefer the black and gold, browns and the salmon I have caught lately seem to favor the olive pearl. This seems to be the case for Central Otago anyway
I thought it was odd that you landed the small trout directly onto the dry shingle & then handled it with dry hands yet you did the complete opposite with the 2nd trout...
Bloody beautiful!!!🥳mate!!🤠👌🤙🤙Nice 😊🎣
Cheers Leonard, thanks for the comment.

Good fishing Would love to see how your lure works in the water
Thanks Scott, I often check the action of the lure by running it past myself to make sure it's working properly.v
Do you often get marlin in river too ? ive seen a few in canterbury smashing way up the rapids
Heck yeah, those things and the kingfish co.inv up the river. Get the jetski out and chase em.
Hey mate, what’s a go to softbait you like to use if you don’t mind sharing?
Hey Niklas, I don't mind letting you know what I have used. I have used a black and gold paddle tail softbait or the olive/pearl one Cheers
Great question

Nice. What time of year do the trout come in from the sea?
Hey Damien, I have caught them as early as the start of July. Cheers

@@canterburyfishingadventureswhy keep it a secret its not like its boiling up with fish. Any river near the mouth will produce.

Stuff happens, it doesn't always happen this way.
