That's one nice-looking mature trout. That must've been a keeper by code, right? Good fishing. Good spirit. Thanks.

Yes, that would be a keeper. Shame it was foul hooked though.

@@canterburyfishingadventures Oh.. I see. So, a fish must take a lure/bait by its free will for it to keep. Makes sense. Great fishing. Keep it up.

@Pre College English Yes, the fish must be hooked in the mouth for it to be legally taken. Thanks for the comment 👍

Nice one mate, that was a good fish too, pity on the foul hooking. It happens though.

Hey Flylife, thanks for the comment. Yeah it was a nice fish and I was pretty disappointed that I foul hooked it.

Hey mate my dad and i are both from Ashburton and are new to this freah water fishing and have just got our licences when would be the best time to get out in the water

I would get out there right now, spring time and summer time is the optimal time to fresh water fish. Tightlines.

"Beautiful fish!!!!!" (Chucks it rough as guts into two inches of water) Classic muntery spin fishing act

If you happen to look carefully at the video and others of mine you would then noticed that the fish was squirming in my hands and forced its own way out. No way do i treat fish like you mentioned.
