Thanks for this video, learned a ton from you once again. How niched down is this niche?

I'm glad you liked it! This site is pretty niched down. Not quite as narrow in focus as the other case study site, but still pretty focused. As an example, using arts and crafts as parent topic, this niche would be Arts & Crafts >>> Crochet >>> Amigurumi (specific style of crocheting). I hope this helps!

Hi Casey. Great content. Do you have advice on authorship using a pen name? I don't want to use my actual name but worried that will hurt "trust" in the eyes of google, and hoping you could share some tips here.

There are many reasons to want to use a pen name, and I don't think you need to use a real name unless you are in a YMYL niche. I may need to do a separate video on this, but some of the things you can do are: creating a personal site for your persona, creating multiple interlinked social media profiles for your persona, creating the relevant contact pages on your site (just bc you are using a pen name doesn't mean Google doesn't want to be able to contact you or allow a reader with questions to be able to reach out to someone for support). Doing a few press releases, written interviews, or podcasts even are great if you want to establish an airtight persona. you don't need to do all these things, but these are all foundational links that are good to begin linking to your site and your site's persona.

Hey Casey, can you make a video talking about a general overview of how you use Koala Writer to make the outline/content structure of your posts?

I will add this to my video to-do list. Thanks for the suggestion!

Do you use a Pinterest strategy to get traffic to your site?

I haven’t yet, really. I mean I set up profiles for my personas and they’ve posted several posts but right now this site is still heavily organic search traffic.
But given the content, I’d like to try Pinterest! But I’ve never quite cracked it…
I have a decent FB page related to this going, and while likes are currently quite expensive, they are extremely targeted.
I think this may be the social media play I try first.
I may hire out the Pinterest to a VA / freelancer. I should probably do this on all my sites but I’ve gotten so comfortable having virtually no employees or overhead, that I usually don’t try new strategies until I’ve tested the things I e made work before (like FB pages/groups).
