- The snake-haired Gorgon returns to Frontier Adventures in 2022! This seven-looping beast unveiled in 1999 as the world’s first floorless, top-rail roller coaster, Medusa, was re-branded to BIZARRO™ 10 years later. But this season the ride will return in its original form with a new color palette, logo, and new Gold Rush-era backstory.
Medusa's transformation is underway! Check out her stunning, new paint job in green, copper and black. Work on the queue and ride finishing touches will continue throughout the spring, while the ride is in operation. Please pardon her appearance while her makeover is under fun-struction!

Glad to see Medusa name again... It's very similar track of kumba from Busch Gardens tampa FL...
This ride was already called medusa before bizzaro kinda werid to turn it back after all that time but hey, it looks nice!

Looks beautiful! This ride is awesome, glad it's getting love from Six Flags Great Adventure! I must say, you are killing it Great Adventure, best believe I'll be back again this year to take in all the greatness!

will be interesting to see the refit of the theme - first road this coaster as Bizarro and it was one of my favorites until the theme elements kept being dropped - soundtrack, mister, exit signage Bizarro Your Hero Now...
I remember the "Bizarro Your Hero Now" sign was briefly removed for a year or so, but that was reinstalled several years back. Both sets of misters were also still there and operating in 2021, but they would be disabled (or broken?) on random days.
So when it first opened in 99 it was called Medusa. So they are changing it back to its original name and theme.
So its going back to Medusa. I'm glade to see this beacuse personally I thought the whole Bizarro thing was stupid.

What day is it going to open
Medusa will operate while the transformation progresses. We hope to have it open in April and the transformation won't be completed until closer to summer.
