Hey Rob. I have a question that’s going true my mind for the last week. I’m now 81 days free off gambling but since a few weeks I started with collecting soccer cards from Panini & Topps. It’s mostly fun to complete a album but there is also a chance when you opening a package off cards that you will find a special card that is worth a little bit off money. Maybe €50,- or something. In the beginning I like all the cards that I found including base cards and the not so special cards. I still like them but my head is now sometimes only thinking about that special card. I tell myself not to focus only on the special cards but to enjoy all the cards. Do I now have a problem with soccer cards or is it normal that your mind thinks like that. Is it normal that the special cards trigger you the most? Sometimes I’m a little bit worried if this a new addiction. But if it is that means I’m never gonna do something with a little bit off tension anymore.
Card breaks can 100% become a problem and mimic the feeling of a slot machine. That being said, you have to know yourself to know if this is a problem or if you're looking for a problem. If it feels wrong, don't keep going down that path
@ Thanks for the answer. Panini and Topps doesn’t feel very wrong for me. On the other hand Pokémon cards does feel wrong for me so I stopped with that after a few buys. My head is clear about that. Pokémon cards are very expensive and feels Ike a endless circle with almost every month a new update with new cards. That is way to much for me. A endless circle you can’t keep up with. But I don’t have that feeling with Panini & Topps. You have all the time to complete a season. I don’t feel rushed by that. It feels clearer also in my mind. So maybe I found my answer. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with me.

Made a nice little score at the Breeders Cup horse races this weekend. I had One winner and two losers going into the Breeders Cup Classic. Made a stupid mistake and didn't include fierceness, but I had the other three out of four in the superfecta. So at that point I was down. Then when it came to the Breeders Cup mile on the turf I had the winner that came from dead last at 8-1 in a future bet. I also won the Breeders Cup Sprint with a horse named straight no chaser. So at the end of the day I was up $180. So what did I do? Cashed out. No more bets. Haha

Do you think gambling will ever become illegal?
I don't think that's likely to happen, but I think we'll see the ads become illegal or highly regulated
Great channel and I love your videos but can you please turn off the scary music when you talk with people. It kinda ruins it for me and a little distracting
Feedback noted thank you
But what if the “eventually” isnt until after i die
I live in australia and I can't even find a sponsor. I must stop gambling but doing it alone is the hardest thing ever. Even my partner said to me she cannot support me stopping because she has her own stuff to deal with.
Where in australia are you at? the gamblers anonymous community is pretty solid there from what i've heard. Gamblersinrecovery.com has meetings online if you need
Most gamblers quit right before they hit the big one I almost quit lucky I didn’t I hit 47k last week cashed out bought my son a car my wife stuff
Excited that you now know where to find help when you’re ready
@ just because you lost when u gamble doesn’t mean everyone else loses I’ve made a living off this for 10 years I know how to control myself I wish u nothing but the best gambling isn’t for everyone
@@Pops1020 I doubt you've made a living from it.
@ with my 47k win I’ve won more then I lost I’m up a lot probably 25k life time
Gambled from 10/11 to 29. Now 6months without bets For first Time in My live. Live is so much better
They design into slots if you need 6 symbols for bonus round, it often comes 5 symbols. It's all pre programmed psychology.
100% the near miss fallacy
The math of big numbers seems to be really hard to understand for the average human
After Gambling on Sports for about 4/5 yrs blindly. I came to realize it was a Zero sum game for me. After that i didnt enjoy placing a bet. But Now when i dont want to waste my time on this shit ... I found out a loophole to make around 1k/1.2k$ per month(which is a lot in my country) from it without risking any of my money. what should I do ? Quit Now or Make money risking I might lose control on the way ?
Arbitrage betting isn't gambling when you're guaranteed to win.
The casinos are a good way to supplement your losses
I think the phrase you were looking for is “double your losses”
If you OWN a casino. Yes.
Why are there so many hold em pros now on internet, youtube, and out there playing cash games, seriously lot of them are making a living out of it.
They are backed by stakers and sponsors for a reason and it's because of the long term variability of their return. It's gambling
@Odaat_Recovery I see but why would backers and stakers give them money when they'll eventually lose?
@@Odaat_RecoveryI play poker 8hrs per day everyday, and I have no backers. Just relentless discipline and showing up daily
Need to give these a bit of life. It's all very depressing
Well the positive spin is that people are getting clean, but not everything is super positive unfortunately looking back
Me, I don't gamble! I money 💵 trade at the casinos? 😁
What about poker ?
It’s gambling
@Odaat_Recovery and stocks market ?
double up and bet it back!
Excited to help you one day
Family guy!
Haha
Gambling addiction isn’t the issue… the issue is weak minded individuals that don’t know how to manage money. It’s the same people with stacks of credit cards.
Nope this is a gambling addiction page, good try tho
Your all weak! Recovery for betting is so lame. If he won he wouldn't be on here. Weak emotions. He looks like he's never had a women n lives In his parents house. Watch your neighbours kids! Somebody called vhris ffs!
Are you k? My goodness I can feel your negative energy thru you tube. Get help you have some serious anger 😡 issues
@davida7559 thank you! I love you too.. peace to all the Karen's
@@Sallyfrench... I’ll give a good advice. Never judge anyone because you will never know where you might end up in life. Words of a wise man. Good luck to you.
@davida7559 I would listen to your words of wisdom. But only if your grammar is correct?
@davida7559 BTW your talking to a genius. Not some little stupid girl. Said what I thought and you didn't like it ×
Currently stuck in a viscous gambling cycle, down ALOT….i don’t even know what to do with myself
Have you ever thought of giving it up? My account is here to help you do that if you're interested
I remember you said something about wanting to interview a so called professional gambler at some point?
Hard to find someone who isn’t promoting some garbage
@Odaat_Recovery are you saying Im promoting garbage?
