      Dear Jason,
      Thank you so much for these videos. I was wondering do binaural beats cause dependency on them or rather entrainment (brainwaves naturally being stronger after listening)?
      Thank you in advance :)

    • @MindAmend
      @MindAmend  3 года назад +6

      @@moonlighttarot148 So far, there hasn't been enough research to indicate if you can experience long-term benefits from listening to isochronic tones or binaural beats. Until more is discovered, I view them as mainly providing a short-term benefit or effect. As essentially, once the sound stops your brainwave activity stops being entrained to the sound. It's not known as being addictive or to cause dependency. However, it's possible to build up a psychological dependency on almost anything that provides you with a benefit or that helps you in some way to do something. After a while, you can start to think that you can't do something without the aid of the thing you have been relying on to help you. That's why some people still use a stick to help them walk, long after their leg has fully healed. It's not the stick, it's the person's reliance on it that is a potential issue. Some people are more susceptible to this than others. If you are concerned you may be, awareness and prevention is the key. I would advise that you try to vary how often you use a particular track, and try not to get to a stage where you are using the same thing every day, day in day out.

    Current mood, neutral, I feel stuck and I unable to change my current situation (ADD, Weak memory, Binge eating disorders, low serotonine...)
    I am not a person who has Placebo effects from listening to binaural beats.

    Like the others I have to say, yes this is the only binaural sound that helps my autistic and ADHD brain feel like things click into place. The sound for some reason is quite like getting a brain massage, it’s amazing. I wonder what it is about these particular tones. Is it the timbre, the pace, the note, all of the above? One of the greatest blues duos of all time, 44:20 of pure ear candy. The music even syncs up with the visuals on this video.

    After using the cognition enhancer for a long time (I still really like that one, and thank you for making a 3 hour version), I started trying some of your other videos, obviously including this one.
    Honestly, I think this works best for me compared to having a music track covering up most of the sound. I also sometimes prefer to not use headphones due to my ears hurting after listening for many hours at once, but even with this track, I need them because I can barely hear anything even with the volume turned up 100%. Would it be possible to make more pure tones, maybe one like that behind the cognition enhancer? Thank you!

      I have been told about EEG research, which showed that people who were seriously ill, often seem to produce a lower amount of brainwave activity in this 12-15Hz range. It doesn't necessarily follow that increasing more of this frequency range will help you get better or feel some pain relief, but there may be a possible link.

    Why NO sound therapy found for tardius or being late? I know something was wrong, it was not a habit at all. And it's not really related to depression

    • @MindAmend
      @MindAmend  5 лет назад +1

      I think for that type of thing you should look for something with affirmations or a hypnosis script that specifically targets the habit of being late. An isochronic tones track without affirmations or dialogue wouldn't be able to affect anything specific like that. I'd recommend writing out a list of your own affirmations, like 'I am always on time', 'I always make sure I have plenty of time to get ready for an appointment', 'I always leave early so that I'm never late' etc. Then either say them to yourself in your head or out loud while listening. I just made those affirmations up quickly in my head, so give them some thought and get some ideas on the best things to say by searching online. Then try to put them in your own words. I hope that helps.

    Can this still help if I'm listening in my car or is this more a headphones and sleep type one? Really wish I could find more that are for focusing and not all for sleeping, I understand a little bit about how the frequencies work but not enough to know if they're safe or functional when not sleeping or not in a deep relaxed mode and need to stay awake and alert.

    • @MindAmend
      @MindAmend  2 года назад +1

      This one isn’t for using while sleeping. It’s for using during the daytime to help promote more SMR activity, which can help prepare you for sleeping better in the evening. I prefer not to encourage people to use my focus tracks in the car because I don’t want anyone to think they are ok to drive while tired.
      I have a lot of tracks for focus on my channel, so I recommend having a look through the playlists, found via the link on my channel home page. If you prefer just tones tracks, I have a number of focus tracks in this playlist: m.ruclips.net/p/PLveg0IEcZWN48hHKsJcXcBLdSTI6Xm9zz.

    • @silentletter

    • @MindAmend
      @MindAmend  7 лет назад +4

      I'm not sure I'm afraid. I've come across the odd reference to it in the brainwave entrainment community over the years, but I haven't seen anything concrete to indicate why it may happen. From the feedback I've seen, it does seem to be more likely to happen to people who are quite new to this type of stimulation. There has been some suggestion that it may be anxiety related. Perhaps a reaction to you not knowing what to expect from it, creating a heightened awareness, excitement or sensitivity.

    Can I listen to this while sleeping?

    • @MindAmend
      @MindAmend  4 года назад +2

      No, this track isn't meant to be used while sleeping. People who sleep poorly will often be found to produce lower amounts of SMR brainwave activity (12-15Hz) when measured on an EEG during the day. People like healthy athletes and those that sleep well will often produce higher amounts of it. So this track is meant to be listened to during the daytime to give you a boost of SMR activity, to try and help you sleep better later at night. To give people some variety. Some people like listening to the tones on their own. Other people like to play the tones with their own music, or with another RUclips video on another tab.

    • @MindAmend

      Yes. 12-15Hz is at the bottom of the beta wave range. Generally speaking, being more dominant in beta brainwave activity during the daytime will improve your focus.

    are headphones needed to hear this because Im not hearing it?

    • @MindAmend
      @MindAmend  5 лет назад

      No, you don't need headphones and the sound is definitely there. Sometimes these things can happen when a plugin in your internet browser doesn't load properly, causing a video not to work properly. Try refreshing the page, or closing your browser down and restarting it, as that usually fixes this sort of thing.

    I am epileptic is this suitable for me

    • @MindAmend
      @MindAmend  7 лет назад +5

      I'm afraid, my short and honest answer is I don't know because there hasn't been enough research to say either way. As a precaution, it's generally recommended in the industry that those who are epileptic or susceptible to seizures, shouldn't listen to brainwave entrainment audio. To my knowledge, I'm not aware of any research suggesting there would be a problem for you, but I can't confirm it either way. The problem is, some brainwave entrainment methods use light stimulation, which a small number of epileptics might have a problem with. That seems to have created a blanket precautionary recommendation for people with epilepsy not to use audio stimulation as well. On epilepsy websites, audio isn't usually shown in potential causes of seizures. As everyone's epilepsy and triggers are different and personal to them, the best option is to speak to your doctor and get advice relating to your specific condition.

      Yes, and that's the most common way people use these tones/beats. When combining music with this, just take into account that you still need to be able to hear the tones over the music, so try not to drown them out.

      trugrit2012 try binaural beats and it will force you to learn how to meditate if you have trouble truly trying to do it on your own. 🙂 I did not understand what meditation really was until that. There are RUclips videos but not all are scientifically proven with correct hz in each ear. Headphones only. 🙂

    Thank you

    • @MindAmend
      @MindAmend  4 года назад +1

      I haven’t had similar reports about a problem with the sound and it sounds ok while listening on my iPad here. Are you listening on a mobile device which might have a poor/weak bass sound by any chance? If not, it might be that you need to refresh the page, or maybe reopen the video in a new tab. Sometimes RUclips can have a temporary blip like this.
      Regarding isochronic tones vs binaural beats, I have an in depth article covering this, which includes some audio samples here: www.mindamend.com/brainwave-entrainment/isochronic-tones/. It’s quite a long article; the part you want is a couple of screen rolls down.
