So you have Tate, sounding great, playing with a band that struggles, and two QR members playing great with a singer who struggles. I hope someone is able throw enough money at Scott and Chris someday, to give us the curtain call we’d all love to pay handsomely to hear and see…
This dude has always been a phenomenal singer, top tier. But... a Geoff Tate he is not. It's one of those things that just shouldn't be done when a band with such a iconic voice changes vocalists, it's just not as good or the same, you just can't imitate or duplicate Geoff Tate's mannerisms and phrasing. I understand money is a motivator and the desire to continue playing, I no longer do so I know the feeling. But it's like trying to replace Peter Steele of Type O Negative, it's just not possible. Same with Alice in Chains, you can't replace Lane Staley, or Chris Cornell, etc.... just start a new.
Honestly I wouldn’t criticize Todd’s voice here. Extremely hard song to sing at the end of a long setlist. Geoff and every other singer has had the same problem. It’s all good.
It's like hearing a band of teenagers playing songs from their favourite rock bands at the local bar, but just louder. This is NOT QUEENSRYCHE anymore.
sadly this is largely true of 90% of the bands from the 80s. it's very difficult to keep a band together apparently, especially when it comes to the lead singers.
Eddie's backing vocals sounds ok, but Mike Stone has better backing vocals than Eddie Jackson does. Stoney sounds more like Chris Degarmo's backing vocals, so is good to have Mike Stone back in the band.
@Brian Berry I don't listen to the new shit.. Only with the master.. Geoff.. I've been there since the beginning.. See them 6 times and once with the new guy.. I left after a few songs.. I hung out downstairs with Fates Warning.. I met there sound guy and he took me down.. Fucking awesome as far as I remember.. Lol
the last few times i've seen these guys, they didn't play "another rainy night". anyone have any theories why 1 of their biggest hits is not being played?
I just listened to this now, and am pretty disappointed. Kind of choppy, with obviously strained vocals. He is.. Well, a singer, but not in the same class as Geoff Tate. I would see the original Quuensryche in a heartbeat. This, not so much.

Tell that to AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Van Halen, and Quiet Riot.

Even the new singer burns out after a while...
High octane vocals when young cannot be sustained indefinitely.

nope...................................just nope
is this a cover band for queensryche?i dont want to hear some poser singing the songs i use to luv!!!bar band at best paying high prices tickets!!!!
No this is the real band. However the only original members left are Michael Wilton and Eddy Jackson
@@tinamariemineard8324 so kind of a cover band then.js

@@DB-xp9px yup your right, but yet they try to get big ticket prices for half the band and not the good half either!!!lol
Because you don't listen the last album
At that level, not good enough. Next....
Wilton and Ed still on point. No one gives Ed enough credit for his backing vocals.
Eddie's backing vocals sounds ok, but Mike Stone has better backing vocals than Eddie Jackson does. Stoney sounds more like Chris Degarmo's backing vocals, so is good to have Mike Stone back in the band.
Nice little tribute band, actually no, just got to 4.30 and it got real poo
These cover bands have to stop.. They will never sound like the Master Geoff Tate.. lolol.. 😂🙉
Exactly...

Your loss.
@@richardortegon5007 No..Not really.. 😂
@@kingdiamondgod5824 DeGarmo is laughing at people like you.
Time to tune down. There's no shame in it. Make the performance great again!
He sounds pretty awesome on the new studio release.
Geoff Tate is Queensryche.
Don’t forget DeGarmo !
Obviously, not
*was
Regardless of what you think of Todd - I'm more concerned about how bored the band looks in this video... They seem like the don't give a sh%t.
I concur !
You are damn right!
Soy español
Y siEmpre seguiré a queenryche
I was at this show and it was an awesome time!

What happened at 3:52? Looks like there was lip syncing.
Its not, its a vocal effect brought to you buy his tech or board dude
Un grupazo..los quiero mucho
NOT...Queensryche. Not without Geoff Tate...
Geoff was only the singer, no more
When oh when Cleveland
The Voice! What a great singer. Seeing them live with Todd is awesome! Thanx Todd for representing the 727!
Um, well he is OK but compared to Geoff it is kind of sad.
I've always been a huge Queensryche fan and hadn't heard Todd's voice until now and I'm truly impressed by him!!
