Please don't use the strong jewelry dips like Connoisseurs on your pieces! It removes the plating and eventually ruins finish. If you must use, never leave more than 30 seconds before rinsing. I have been in the jewelry business over 20 years and the best way to clean is with dawn & water then a Sunshine Polishing cloth or take in to your jeweler or manufacturer where they have safe cleaning solutions. I learned the hard way in the beginning and ruined some great pieces while following the directions.
The David Yurman bracelets look amazing, l bet your mom couldn’t wait to put them back on!😅 Since you first mentioned about the Dawn dishwashing liquid l have added that step to clean my jewelry and it really does make a difference using the dish soap first. I just skip the cleaning and use the polishing cloth. Something to mention is that the Yurman jewelry should NOT be dunked into the silver cleaning solutions because it will remove the black in between the coils too and the black is part of the design.
Does anything ever get caught on the hook part of the buckle bracelet? Are you ever worried that the hook will break off due to force (via accidentally hitting something against the hook) or from polishing it too much?

David Yurman says to never use any jewelry cleaner…. It won’t warranty the jewelry piece any longer if you use anything other than a polishing cloth or soap and water.

Yes. Almost every jeweler does and department stores that sell fine jewelry. Don't let them put the diamonds in the ultrasonic machine though.
