How to airbrush fish scales w/ Cande Shop Time Kills reusable stencils

Can you wipe off the stencil every so often to see how things are,?

Fish scales are better done with an oval and not a semicircle. They don't look right.
If you want to do snake scales, they need a twist and kind of point.

Everyone has their opinion, but for years lowriders were painted using quarters to get the fish scale pattern. Quarters are round, not ovals.
