A liftgate will snap back in if the pins are intact but you need a magnifier and tweezers to do it. If not, black computer board tape like you see on the battery cable will secure the cable until you open it up again. The cable doesn't have room to move when assembled and there is plenty of slack.
Strange... I did a bit of the dissasemly (all I did was take off the keyboard) and after reconnecting the computer doesn't turn on. Can someone help with this? i can't verify that the flex cables are broken but they look completely fine to me.
Also I forgot to say but the power light doesn't turn on. Not even blinking, just nothing. Also I have tried to discharge it but it still doesn't turn on.
Yes. To fix this you need to reseat the battery. So unplug the colourful wires that come out of the battery and then plug them back in. This will reset the system and allow you to switch it on again.
My laptop hasnt been working lately. The screen won’t turn on and it stays black. If I dissemble my laptop, remove the battery and put it back it, could it work? I see everywhere that they say that if you have an external battery, to remove it but when it says that they’re internal,, they don’t give any advice on taking it out
I’ve been trying to figure how to fix boot device not found on this model but finding you can’t upgrade any of the needed things, but would u think it work if i take out the battery and put it back in?
Is it possible to get anymore space on the laptop? I had been trying to use it as a work laptop and i just cant seem to find much space on it in anyway.
Why would anyone even go through the trouble of opening one of these up? A friend asked me to reimage one that was given to him and to replace it's broken display and I was going to upgrade his HDD and add RAM with spares that I have. At $24.99 plus shipping for a new display assembly, I'm telling him to cut his losses at the gas he used to pick it up in town. Less functionality than a tablet with all of the bulk of a laptop....did someone actually say "Oh yeah, I gotta have one of those. Can you paint it obnoxious blue too?" HP: "Hold my beer" . Great video but I should have known that HP would make up for it's lack of quality with unnecessary chassis screws just mm's away from others..
You can attach an external ssd to it?

@@EasyFixLaptop when you say to discharge, do you mean to disconnect my battery and to press the power button?
Did it work?

I need to get crumbs & dust out from underneath the keyboard. Is that possible to open up without messing anything up inside?
Nope
I would suggest get a blower to do it gently, individually opening the keys to do or otherwise is not ideal or easy.

SD card slot on the side.

Inside the motherboard, it can’t be upgraded
