Jasmine!, just as a psa, nothing makes you skinny or lose weight or fat. The key is a caloric deficit. You can eta anything you want as long as you stay in a deficit
Your waist DOES look a bit smaller. There's definitely a difference and the fact that it's due to healthy eating and more nutrients being involved is pretty good.
I absolutely love your attitude. You made this very realistic. On days when you had to substitute for missing ingredients, you just did it and continued. On days when you had an avocado or banana, you said you didn't feel bad about it, and continued. You didn't let life derail your commitment or your attitude. You were very positive, and it's an inspiring mindset to keep when working toward not just weightloss, but health in general. Thank you ❤

I totally agree. More fresh foods and less processed and you’re on the right track. It takes more effort, but it genuinely creates a meal that doesn’t make you feel like a bloated potato when you’re done. It makes you feel good and energized!

@@serenity2010sh People don't need to buy health food to eat healthy. Just not buying processed. The fruits, vegetables, meat can be frozen if fresh is not available or poor quality. I just add my own seasoning and steam them. It takes less than 15 minutes to steam both. Or bake. It's like the time it take to watching two or three youtube videos.

This is so refreshing! Finally showing a mindset change and delicious food! Not the best that their are weird restrictions, making this a diet, of course, but this is progress from the diet culture that we know!
Hey Jasmine Pak, to easily clean your blender, use the blender by adding a little dish soap and half the blender of water and blend until clean. Rinse and let dry. This makes it easier instead of trying to clean it by hand. Thanks for the vid. Cheers!
@@yhingk4000 idk, but it doesn't hurt to try. Everything in a juicer gets wet with juice, so I don't see the difference when you put water with a little soap to clean it👍
Getting into a caloric deficit is actually way harder than you imagine it to be.. a lot of people really underestimate the energy value seemingly „healthy/green food“ has.. I mean if you eat tons of avocado, at the end it really is a great amount of high-energy (healthier) fat
It’s actually much more complicated than that and the whole “calories in vs calories out” thing is very outdated science. The newest nutrition guidelines from health organizations focus much more on adding nutritious foods than cutting out anything specific (like carbs).
@@evren5642 As a chemist I can absolutely agree. Another thing I wanna add: It's not at all easy to talk about deficits since there is no biochemical mechanism as complex as metabolism. There's a quadrillion factors that will influence your metabolism and trying to make assumptions about it with only knowing the calories of the food you're eating is just not working...
Well, seeing as I lost 100 lbs by exercising and doing thorough research of caloric deficit as it applied to ME I can say THIS is what works. And I’ve kept it off for two years, even during the pandemic. Easy? No. But SO worth it. Once you know your body and get used to a healthy lifestyle all that’s left is LIVING! 🥰
This diet reminds me of Weightwatchers. It's got a lot of the same "good foods" on it's list, and I'm glad that Jasmine reiterated that having a small something to keep your sanity is ok. ❤
I really appreciate her honesty in this video. Hearing what did not taste great or what was a challenge helps me trust & believe in her recommendations about what she did like about the diet & foods. I'm always skeptical when people claim all healthy food tastes amazing the first time you make it. Some of these recipes looked doable and delicious. I'll pass on the juice, though! Haha
I am doing sirtfood at the moment and you’re right about the sirtfood muesli. It tastes incredible.I have kind of got used to the juices. Treat the 7 pounds claim with caution if anyone is thinking of doing this. I lost 8 pounds in the first week and (unsurprisingly) it must be mostly water as I have not lost any inches off my waist and stomach.
i make a juice very similar!! -1 celery stick -1lime -3 slices of ginger -parsley -1 chuck swiss leaf -1slice of pineapple -1banana -a handful of spinach
A year from now, if you dont do anything, you will be in the exact same place you are now. No matter how stuck you feel, how many days youve spent crying, or wishing for something different. I promise things will get better, and even though growth is incredibly hard/painful, staying stuck is soo much more painful. I believe in you
yeah you can lose weight with this diet if you're over 200 pounds...xD I eat this type of food at 150 pounds and have lost zero kilos in a year literally (real kilos, not waterweight)...You can't really do much with this unless you're working out.
You'd be surprised how many diets are designed this way. Modern dieting understands that restricting your food intake as hard as we used to makes it harder to stick to your diet. Eating to satiety is just as important as being portion-wise.
My problem would be how few meals there are. Even though they’re large, I wouldn’t be able to only eat 1 big meal a day. I’d have to split that meal into 5😂
French person here! We actually eat 3 meals a day (4 when a child for afternoon snack). I think the biggest difference in culture with the US is that actually we snack way less ; in our culture its really important for those 3 meals to sit down together, at quite regular hours everyday, and take our time to eat.
It’s virtually impossible to lose that much weight consistently. 2 lbs a week (unless you have a lot of extra fat) is generally considered “extreme weight loss.” But my guess is the decrease in carbs and sodium and the laxative green juice would end up leading to lower ‘water weight.’
She lost 7 pounds in 14 days...which is NOT MUCH AT ALL...my literal daily weight loss and gain fluctuates from 1-3 kilo (3 kilo is 7 pounds) depending on the time of day, whether I ate, went to toilet etc. So I lose more weight in a day than she does in two weeks xD She only shat her soul out from those green juices ...that's why she lost water weight,...otherwise those meals that she prepped are all full of carbs and totally normal meals that I'd eat during the day too...xD It's great if you're 200+ pounds, but for us who are around 130-180 it's difficult to make any weight loss progress with this dieting style.
"and in my past diets it often involved making bland foods that were clearly uninspired and frankly quite depressing.... The old me would do it just to see the number on the scale drop but I'm refusing to do that because my mindset is shifted and I've learned that having a diet that I enjoy has a positive impact on my mental health." 'The fact that I'm able to have culturally diverse meals that fit my flavor palette means a lot to me."
I'm on the first week of this diet and so far it has been good. (Lost 2 pounds already) I love the green juice and I did not feel that hungry during the first 3 days, which were the hardest but doable. I'm buying mostly organic so it is expensive, however I believe we should eat the best food possible. The downside is having to cook all the meals myself and make the juice every day (I make all the servings fresh each morning) but I gained weight eating too much bread and take out in 2020, so if cooking everything will help me lose weight and feel better, then so be it. I am also modifying the recipes that call for meat/dairy and making them vegan.
Jasmine, I never comment on videos but you were so likeable I just had to say it. You made me laugh several times throughout the video and I didn’t even want to watch the whole thing, just wanted to skip to the results but you made me stick it through and I ended up watching the ENTIRE video. As a former anorexic, this isn’t sustainable for the rest of your life. Its all calories and portion control. Please be careful with these diets. I don’t want anyone to suffer like I did.
Anyone with a current eating disorder should not be on a diet. That said, I have recovered from my ED (it's been years) and I have been following this diet with no problems. I don't count calories because that triggers me - I just follow the recipes and eat what is recommended. My focus is on healthy foods, that will bring weight loss without me obsessing over everything. The calories are a guide but not a sticking point at least to me. When I am hungry outside of the meals or juice, I eat a bit of fruit. But the meals are very filling for me, a petite woman.

Wait I’m so intrigued... is this as a table seasoning?
You use this in juices too?
That’s a Great Idea. I’ve been trying to add those to my daily intake unsuccessfully. I will try this!
Sounds great. I used to keep the turmeric in my salt shaker. I also would buy dried mushrooms and sprinkle them on everything I ate.
I usually HATE fad diets ("skinny gene"? really?) but some of these recipes look DELICIOUS.
Honestly same asf.
Exactly!!! I have been looking for the recipes lol. Would be fun to try one on a weekend when there's more free time for all that food prep
It becomes a lifestyle. If you stick with it, you soon won't know any different.
I've made these ch asnges and my life is so much better for it!
Her: “Isn’t this a huge amount of food”
Me: is it....👀
😂 right?
Ikr It looked super small to me.
portions are big......
@@danan9061 omg that's too much
I know😔
Jasmine is the best. I just love her energy! She seems so positive without irony.
I made the muesli-yogurt for breakfast this morning! Though I had to work with what I had on hand, I used 45 gr muesli mix w raisins and almond, 67 gr strawberry greek yogurt, 18 gr chopped 64% chocolate with cacao nibs, a tbsp of walnuts, and 2 strawberries. It’s so yummy and super filling!😍
Is it bad that I laughed when you said, "I should have washed the juicer," your face haha
I love how you do 14 days and not a week. This is a real attempt at it .
Looks like a nice diet where you are not going to be starving. Great video I love how she showed everything, very informative and with her example. 5 stars girl
Can i just say the fade you make after every sip of green juice is hilarious and almost hurts my heart knowing it was so painful to swollen!! You did good!!
This is so refreshing! Finally showing a mindset change and delicious food! Not the best that their are weird restrictions, making this a diet, of course, but this is progress from the diet culture that we know!
I love how happy she is eating the food she likes, please never put this woman on a diet, she is amazing.
Hey Jasmine Pak, to easily clean your blender, use the blender by adding a little dish soap and half the blender of water and blend until clean. Rinse and let dry. This makes it easier instead of trying to clean it by hand. Thanks for the vid. Cheers!
That's an amazing tip
@@zaraFORSYTH gotta use what you got to make life easier 😉
@@jchacon9362 amen!
I thought she needed an easier way to clean her juicer, not blender. Does this hack also work for a juicer?
@@yhingk4000 idk, but it doesn't hurt to try. Everything in a juicer gets wet with juice, so I don't see the difference when you put water with a little soap to clean it👍
Her boyfriends reaction to the smoothie...priceless!

Most of these recipes look delicious and I’m 100% a “volume eater” so it looks like it may be worth trying out just to see

Okay I’m glad I wasn’t the only one
Same girl, same
I saw shirtfood lol
I like you version better
Me for months after reading about it 😂😂😂
She makes me want to start this diet TOMORROW. This diet seems amazing!
It's pretty simple, but also kinda hard: caloric deficit. Also workout
THIS!
Shiny, luscious hair is also a sign that the diet is not missing any vitamins and minerals. I'm considering!
Lol although it seemed her hair was beautiful before she even started it
You wouldn’t see a diets effect on hair till the hair grows out... she wouldn’t have grown much of anything in 14 days.
These are the types of meals I've been trying to find 😍😍😍 They're healthy, comforting, filling, and delicious
This diet reminds me of Weightwatchers. It's got a lot of the same "good foods" on it's list, and I'm glad that Jasmine reiterated that having a small something to keep your sanity is ok. ❤
"Hey why are you burping alle the time?"
"Blame it on the juice"
Nice!
Still recovering after en-dee-vé 😂

@@marioher4978 omg same. I read this exactly how the lady read it 😂
💀💀🤣🤣🤣
It’s awesome that you could loose weight and didn’t have to starve yourself 👍👍👌🤗
Eat Adele's diet & *you may have her amazing vocals.*
Should be called the buckwheat diet lol, it was in almost everything
And kale. And celery. Buckalery diet!
@@thesewingparlor Underrated comment haha
Erin voice: who eats buckwheat?!
Ha!
Jasmine is so happy all the time!! complete treat to watch her!
Nobody is talking about the big bows on her cabinets...and how there’s only two at the beginning but than 4 towards the end
No no I wondered the same thing. Totally cough my eye.
Right, I was wondering what was up with the bows thing on the cabinets too - somebody explain this to me, lol!
it really do look like adele's copping a feel in the thumbnail lmao
It is so amazing to see you trying the diet and still being this cheerful. Truly inspiring. Great job.👍
5 pounds in 7 days is insane honestly.
i make a juice very similar!!
-1 celery stick
-1lime
-3 slices of ginger
-parsley
-1 chuck swiss leaf
-1slice of pineapple
-1banana
-a handful of spinach
I love the way you’ve got your cupboards wrapped like presents.
A year from now, if you dont do anything, you will be in the exact same place you are now.
No matter how stuck you feel, how many days youve spent crying, or wishing for something different. I promise things will get better, and even though growth is incredibly hard/painful, staying stuck is soo much more painful. I believe in you
Side note: jasmine is so pretty and i appreciate that she actually followed the diet 😂
...Wow, I can't believe this is actually a diet to LOSE weight. Everything looks absolutely filling and delicious (albeit skeptical about the pork)!
isn't the weight loss due to having only one solid meal? Juice for breakfast & no food at night? Or did I misunderstand?
yeah you can lose weight with this diet if you're over 200 pounds...xD I eat this type of food at 150 pounds and have lost zero kilos in a year literally (real kilos, not waterweight)...You can't really do much with this unless you're working out.
You'd be surprised how many diets are designed this way. Modern dieting understands that restricting your food intake as hard as we used to makes it harder to stick to your diet. Eating to satiety is just as important as being portion-wise.
She's so resilient. And the way she eats is so adorable. Love her pizzazz!
The Sirt Super Salad looks glorious :), and Jasmine's personality is a vibe!
If I could manage to make my cheat snacks/meals bananas and avocados, I would count it as a win in my book.
My problem would be how few meals there are. Even though they’re large, I wouldn’t be able to only eat 1 big meal a day. I’d have to split that meal into 5😂
Sounds like something a French person would say.
@@kingz4038 Do the French eat five meals a day? Just curious.
French person here! We actually eat 3 meals a day (4 when a child for afternoon snack). I think the biggest difference in culture with the US is that actually we snack way less ; in our culture its really important for those 3 meals to sit down together, at quite regular hours everyday, and take our time to eat.
@@kingz4038 haha, true but I’m a South African 🤣
OMG this was honestly so inspiring to watch!! ❤ Thank you so much Jasmine!
I was so happy when she said "I love myself" ❤️🥺
Her energy is precious. She’s very positive and bubbly and cute.
“I’ll get used to it.” Her face 😂😂😂
I hate these people hating on Adele. She looks AMAZING these days. She was beautiful before. But whats wrong with looking and feeling better slim?
“7 pounds in 7 days.” You’re not losing fat in those 7 days. You’re losing water weight.
how you kno?
It’s virtually impossible to lose that much weight consistently. 2 lbs a week (unless you have a lot of extra fat) is generally considered “extreme weight loss.” But my guess is the decrease in carbs and sodium and the laxative green juice would end up leading to lower ‘water weight.’
Yep, the juice is full of natural diuretics.
Pretty sure its max 1lb of fat. Fat is burned by caloric deficit and 7 pounds would be like a 24500 deficit, which is not possible in 7 days lmao
The old me would do it just to see the number on the scale drop but I'm refusing to do that because my mindset is shifted and I've learned that having a diet that I enjoy has a positive impact on my mental health."
'The fact that I'm able to have culturally diverse meals that fit my flavor palette means a lot to me."
What juicer did you use? Mine doesn’t work well with the kale
Great job doing all this! the prep work that goes in on this is huge! I love your personality. Fantastic video enjoyed
This diet seems like expensive grocery bill &a lot of time in the kitchen 🙄😒🙃
Need a personal chef to be able to stick to it.
I was thinking the exact same thing!
Hmm m
That's most diets.
Well yea... ita a rich people diet lol
"It is better to love myself than lose that weight." YES - because losing weight does not always lead to self-love. Love your priorities.
Your display of each meal is spot-on!! Thank you for this video.
Jasmine, I never comment on videos but you were so likeable I just had to say it. You made me laugh several times throughout the video and I didn’t even want to watch the whole thing, just wanted to skip to the results but you made me stick it through and I ended up watching the ENTIRE video. I really love this healthy diet recipe.
I thought that said “stirred fried diet” 😭
Haha! I bet you were excited! 😂😂😂
That sounds like a tasty diet lol
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Just imagine..... that would be one hell of a diet.
@@Ilovechickpeas I am recovering from bulimia! Did y’all gain a large amount of weight after? I was 100 but now I am 130 it bothers me but I don’t understand why I gained it so fast!
@@juliannearbogast1627 a lot of it is because of water/sodium weight. It will eventually level off if you’re eating the same amount every day. I gained a ton in recovery but it finally stopped going up. I hope you’re doing well!
Check out the carnivore diet guys. It's an elimination diet and you eat filling meats dairy eggs and fish. You eat until you are satiated. It benefits from ketosis just like the keto diet. Plenty of people have lost 100+ lbs with either keto or carnivore and stay full and feeling absolutely awesome!
