      Jasmine, the only thing that matters in weight/fat loss is the calories. The only way to lose fat is through a caloric deficit. So you lost weight because you were eating 1000-1500 calories which is below your maintenance calories. This video is kind of misleading for others.

    If you just adopt a whole food plant based lifestyle (vegan), you will never have to count calories. You will eat until you are full and it’s also great for your health. It prevents chronic diseases and you will be lean.
    Also, buying produce and a bag of rice and some oatmeal’s and dry legumes isn’t expensive at all. As for the kales and juicing, why not make giant salads or stir fry or just add some fruits to the smoothie to make it tasty.

      It’s much better to eat this way and prevent heart disease, diabetes, cancer and other chronic diseases, than go to doctors and spend on medications and unnecessary operations. I’d rather eat super healthy and yummy vegan meals and be super fit and stay away from doctors and meds. Why are these fad diets still popular? I genuinely thought that sirtfood diet is like vegan diet, but with emphasis on raw foods. So imagine my surprise when pork, shrimps and salmon arrived on a plate. Any lifestyle should also be relatively non-expensive and yet she spent so many dollars. And I mean, intermittent fasting I get, but what about these sirtfood juices/smoothies? Shouldn't smoothies taste good? And adding matcha (which naturally has a certain bitterness and zestiness) to it? What a waste of good matcha...

    • @NatKatnails
      @NatKatnails 3 года назад +2

      I make nasty nutritious smoothies. I eat food that tastes good but when it comes to my smoothies I build them around nutrition and antioxidants. Matcha is antioxidant rich so that’s why it’s added in. I used to be on antidepressants but no longer need them and I attribute that partly to my change of eating habits and lifestyles. You might not get enough greens in your diet or fruits or fiber, the benefits of the smoothies are you can focus on your needs and just drink one a day and you’re good! Cost of these foods especially organic is so expensive for sure :( but the benefits on your health are cheaper in the long run if your good physical and mental health can keep you out of the hospital!

    Your bodies need for nutrition does not always follow the rythm of the diet and exercise plan. Stay playful with it.
    The ‚Smoothie‘ is for time compression (and *vegetable* compression😂)
    Some people‘s stomach reacts bad to the bitter substances that get released when blended.
    Out of my knowledge I even do not recommend blending if possible. I prefer salad style. Because a Smoothie hits your intestines all at once. But the microbiological helpers that live down there need time to do their work and break down the food.
    The protagonist here (are You really reading comments? 😸) was definitely used to bitter veggies before. So please be gentle and nice to your self 🙏❤️🙏

      I like the foods they talk about but I agree, I don't like the fasting type diets at all. I actually eat about 6 times a day!

      From my understanding that's only for one week, then it's 3 meals.
      Maybe it's to enforce discipline and the after the week you mentally feel less restricted.

      @@FREESPIRITSSOARING Eating healthy is great! But for people with an eating disorder it can be very stressful to have moral value attached to food (which means that they might classify a chocolate croissant = unhealthy = bad), and they might start to be obsessed with eating healthy and 'clean', the term for that is orthorexia

    • @gale7254
      @gale7254 3 года назад +3

      @@FREESPIRITSSOARING dieting by definition, is to restrict or modify one’s food intake for weight loss. eating healthy is great and people with eating disorders should be able to eat healthily and have food freedom, but that’s just not the case. any form of food restriction like there is with any kind of diet is harmful for people with eating disorders. eating disorders are a type of mental illness and restricting someone who is suffering from one’s food intake in any capacity is dangerous.
