Ghost is my flat out favorite type, so it can be hard to pick just one favorite, but I absolutely love Froslass. Dragapult, Mimikyu, Chandelure, Trevenant, and Aegislash joined Froslass as my personal team for my Ghost only run of Sword.
I decided against Gengar because it doesn't get enough Poison moves to take advantage of its secondary typing. The couple of types Poison is super effective against were ultimately covered by my other mons, so it wasn't a concern either. And I feel like Gengar gets enough love that I didn't feel guilty leaving it behind.
Pumpkaboo is amazing with eviolite as stall It can learn painsplit, leech seed for stall and as offensive capabilities it has its signature move Trick-or-Treat witch gives the opponent the ghost type and it learns foul play which can come in handy against Pokémon with high attack
Just thinking about Gen 2 vs. Slowpoketails in curry, firstly, I almost never do it because it makes me a bit uncomfortable, but more importantly, if you read between the lines a bit, it makes some sense. The Slowpoke in Azalea Town are central to a big part of their culture, so Team Rocket chopping off their tails would be very upsetting to them, especially if they’re available legally elsewhere. Kind of like “well, I know we have tree farms, but I’ma make my cupboard out of a chunk of this super sensitive ecosystem.” I’m not in any hurry to use the tails still, (seriously, Pokémon made me a lot more understanding of vegetarianism and the like) but that’s just a theory… A SOMEHOW LEGALLY DISTINCT FROM GAME THEORY! Oh right, also, Dusclops, due to Mystery Dungeon nostalgia. Fighting Rayquaza isn’t a fun prospect for a Machop, and Duskull being able to learn Ice Beam helped a lot. Then, once the team was max leveled, I let them wander, like usual. Eventually, Dair (like Dire, that’s teenage me’s naming conventions for you) wandered alone into an “all the dudes drop from the ceiling” monster house. So Machamp me starts stomping toward the room, but then, just as I get there, Dair just calmly saunters out of the now empty room, damaged but fine. Dusknoir’s still really cool, but Dusclops has that whole “I just swept that ambush room myself” thing on its side.
For the Hop fight after the 5th gym, you could've evolved your yamask into runerigus: it can tank crunches from boltund due to its massive defense and hit both boltund and heatmor for STAB-super effective damage with bulldoze or the like.
I’ve binged your content AntlerBoy, and I gotta say, you’re easily my favorite nuzlocker. Absolutely hilarious in a fast paced manner while summarizing the gameplay makes for stellar content!
I have a feeling that the name theme was Pokémon that died in previous nuzlockes, the nincada was named coconut which dies in the Flying type in Ultra sun
Dude, you win my heart with your comedy. I'm a big fan of censored/edited swear words and that 'Funny enough' joke was one of the best ones I've ever heard.
I’m pretty sure the theme is Pokémon of previous runs that were fainted I remember Onion was the DP ground type run, Sinner was BW ghost type run, Monaco was SM flying rum, Rapunzel was SM fairy run, Gemini was ORAS psychic run, Okie Dokie was SwSh dragon run, and Skeleton was the XY ghost run, and Coconut was from the SM bug run

Dragapult is also my favourite ghost type (love the design, fun to use, and, you see, to be the best way to be a parent you gotta y e e t t h e c h I I d e n.) But chandellure is a very close second (purple and black fire is pretty, the anime handles it and its pre evolutions great, and legends arceus has officially emoutionly scared me)
Ghost is similar to the dark type (my favorite type), so it's one that I like as well. My favorite ghosts have to be Phantump, Mimikyu, or Sableye. It's such a good type.
Ghost is actually one of my favorite typings, so it is hard for me to pick a favorite. I would say it is a three way tie between Aegislash, Gengar, and Cofagrigus
Finally! Someone who likes Dragapult! Dragapult is an amazing Pokémon with incredible speed. I used one on my main team and it almost swept Leons entire team! God, I love Dragapult!
Favorite ghost is Dusclops by far, I've never known exactly why I like it, but I think it's for the same reason as why Muk is my favorite poison type. (I also don't know the reason for that
When you ask which nuzlocke we would like to see next, im always hyped for randomlockes, those are by far my favorite since they force you to really unexpected teams. Random abilities also make it more fun, and if you are feeling chaotic throw in random moves
As much as I love Aegislash and all the other ghost types marshadow just tops them all easily Also the naming theme Is name is you named your past Pokémon in nuzlockes edit: It may also be all the naming themes Other nuzlockes Also I like most ghost types but Marshadow Is my second favorite Pokémon all the other ghost types are like top 20 my least favorite ghost type is probably Alolan marowak
My favorite Ghost Pokémon ever to exist is Mimikkyu! I’ve always love the idea and design behind Mimikkyu and it’s really good in combat with its disguise ability and fairy typing as well. Other ghost types that I love are also Gengar and Decidyue!
Haven't finished but, 8:00, if you determine that Driftloon is of such great value to the run (it is, being such a good CM baton passer), why would you not switch in litwick on the max flutterby? 1x max flutterby + 1x g-max centiferno does a max of 75% on a high roll, and dynamax turns are up after that. I hear you saying that it won't do much back, but why not pivot through Shedinja on the max flutterby? That way, Litwick takes 50% max on Centiferno on the switch and the dynamax expires immediately after. I guess Litwick still probably dies there, but you had an out to protect Driftloon if it was that important to the integrity of your run, which I believe it was. Quick edit: To be fair, this entire run was almost invalidated by Aegislash alone, so I get why taking the more aggressive route and hoping for the high roll wasn't a horrible play.
Idea for a hard Nuzlocke, same rules of this one but any mon goes, the only thing to add in, No switching Pokémon allowed in battle, you can set up before a fight but the only way to change what mon is out is by it getting KO'ed and then you must switch to the next mon on the list in order. This would add a much harder element to the challenge as you would need to know the fights and plan hard core to get this one done. Only small thing to make it more doable is that if a mon is KO'ed you can go back and catch a new mon from the route you got it from 1 time, this will allow double the mons in the run if its needed. If you can pull this off then you can use it for a type challenge like this one and see how far you can take it.
An Interesting Challenge I would love to see you try is Black/White with only normal types. 8 total encounters would be really challenging but also super fun to watch. Love your content Antlerboy!
So, fun fact about pokemon base stats, they do not scale linearly. If a base stat was doubled, the actual stat of the pokemon would be less than doubled. What this means is that Gastly having a speed lowering nature doesn't make it comparable to a base 72 pokemon (that would actually Speed-tie Dreadnaw due to the low level), but you have to go as low as a 69 base speed pokemon to match Ghastly's speed due to just how the math works out. Even pokemon with 70 base speed will outspeed Ghastly at level 24 (assuming no EVs for anyone of course).
I did a ghost monotype run not long ago, and I have to say, Aegislash really surprised me. I'd never used it before, but it turned out to be the MVP of the team. Definitely earned its place at one of my favourites.
The ghost type is by far my favorite, as for my favorite ghost type I'd have to say it's close but Golurk is just so cool. I love the history behind it's creation being based on an awakened automaton or golem from the distant past. Also the Old Chateau is just really neat too. I wish we could get some new rotom forms to use ingame, like a psychic type TV one with hypnosis as it's signature move or something.
Ever since Sabrina's Haunter debuted on the anime, Haunter has been my absolute fav and is a staple in all of my teams, but Pumpkaboo/Gourgeist is quickly becoming a favorite as well because of its dex entries.
