Fainted Pokemon must be permanently boxed
Only the first encounter on any given route may be caught (dupes clause)
All pokemon must be nicknamed
Hardcore Rules:
Always Set mode
No items from the bag option in battle (held items are ok)
No overleveling the next gym leader

For those wondering, Gliscor in Ramos gym probably had Snow Cloak since mister Boy missed a 100% attack and Snow Cloak protects you against hail damage

Gliscor probably had snow cloak which explains why you missed your surf and why it didn't take hail chip
No idea if that ability cancels hail chip but I just it does. It couldn’t be holding safety goggles as the wise glasses are what it held

Might I recommend a Pokémon ultra moon nuzlocke with only Pokémon that change type when they evolve? As in a type gets swapped like Onix getting rid of its rock type for steel when evolving into Steelix
Ultra moon is unique in that it has practically every Pokémon that changed type expect for the poster children of the gimmick: nincada and azuril. (And some Pokémon with regional forms that were added later)
What’s also interesting about this is the encounter layout as only rowlet and Onix are found on Melemele island, with the remaining are spilt evenly between Akala and Poni island, and no encounters on Ula’Ula. Which means you have to get through Olivia’s trail up to the Lusamine fight with 7 available Pokémon at best before suddenly opening a bunch of new dragon type encounters.
On the plus side, the Pokémon available aren’t the most commonly used Pokémon
The Pokémon that change type are the following:
Rowlet (swaps flying for ghost)
Onix (found via island scan on Sunday) (swaps rock for steel)
Eevee (swaps normal for another type)
Surskit (swaps water for flying)
Ralts (found via island scan on Tuesday) (swaps it’s fairy for fighting) (dawn stone isn’t until after necrozma)
Fletchling (swaps normal for fire)
Cubone (swaps ground for fire and ghost)
Larvitar (swaps ground for dark)
Scyther (swaps flying for steel)
Exeggcute (swaps psychic for dragon)
Dragalge (swapped water for dragon) (also ultra moon exclusive)
Altaria (swapped normal for dragon) (only found in red portals in ultra space)
Drapion (swapped bug for dark) (only found in green portals in ultra space)
Rowlett for the win.

Not gonna like watching my favorite Pokémon become such a beast made me very happy. Also I liked how after he picked fletchling instead of Swinub and the talon flame gets killed by a mamoswine.
This was a really entertaining run. I think the way you randomized this really worked out well because it was balanced enough to make it reasonable while still providing for enough randomness :D

Pokemon Xenoverse is a cool fan game, while still being fairly doable, and Pokemon Insurgence is fun, but maybe a little… tough.
This is one of (if not the best) randomized nuzlocke ive seen. I love the randomized enemy team, the random nature, the forced evolution, and the extra mon per trainer. I loved doing this type of randomizer nuzlocke myself but lost the time to do it myself. This was my first introduction to your videos and i hope you expand on this exact format for other gens. Love the nickname theme! I did a nuzlocke using Yugioh archetypes as the theme, and honestly had a blast, especially when the pokemon matches up with its archetype exactly.
I love randomized nuzlockes because it’s hard to prepare for and they always make entertaining videos since you have to come up with Strategies on the fly love your videos glad you’ve come so far I always enjoy your videos

Loving these Randomizer Nuzlockes. For your next one, how about you randomize evolutions as well? Random evolutions make a Randomizer Nuzlocke that much more fun. Keep it to a three stage minimum though.

You should try a 100 hour challenge in black 2 randomised,
Rules are:
Catch a shiny
Beat the elite 4 and champion twice as in the rematch
Normal nuzlocke rules
Complete the pokedex
Get all medals
When the 100 hours are done and everything isn't done you lose.

I only discovered this channel within the past years, but your videos are so entertaining and were the very first to introduce me to the fun and challenge of hardcore nuzlockes (especially restricted ones, i.e. monolockes) and now I have gotten into doing them myself! Thank you so much!

Gliscor must have had Snow Cloak, which usual just boosts evasion, but must have it built in to protect against Hail damage.

You have 1 of the biggest vocabularies and some of the best diction I've ever heard! You blew my mind on a fighting nuzlocke hitting every muscle name perfectly, Im a personal trainer and I flub the long form names all the time.
I love these videos and have been watching all of his vids lately. I’m a new fan of his and wow the ones where the Pokémon are random are my fav. Maybe next he can even play some mods where it’s a new story and do the challange. I love when you can get any Pokémon with any move or ability, it makes it super fun to watch not knowing what’s next.

Once I was playing a randomiser of Ultra Moon when I got a huge power Adamant Slaking. That run ended up being a solo run.
I also remember giving it a Choice Band and teaching it Giga Impact to use on the Ultra Necrozma.
I can imagine you were extremely satisfied to see your Slaking reduce Ultra Necrozma to atoms thanks to Huge Power Choice Band Adamant Giga Impact...

Love the Yugioh name references! You should look into the archetypes. Some group of cards are large enough to be their own naming scheme. For example on a Flying type only nuzlock you could run a Blackwing naming scheme
Gliscor had Snowcloak, making you miss the 100% accurate surf and allowing it to survive in the hail.

So the reason the gliscor didn't take any damage from hail AND the prinplup missed surf is because it rolled snow cloak as its ability for those who dont know.

I am loving the randomized nuzlockes. All we need now is the best if both worlds with a randomized mono type nuzlocke although, that might be too hard and unpredictable.

It's a good day for another AntlerBoy video, and it's a Randomizer too! But for MVP is a seriously tough choice between Parental Bond Blaziken (Mega Kangaskhan but has STAB to Power-Up Punch and dual STAB) and Huge Power Mamoswine (Its Attack stat being 130 then becoming 260 because of Huge Power is insanely scary)

Escav is one of my favorite pokemon ever, great move pool, great design with good lore behind it, fantastic stats across the board except for speed which is so low that -speed natures are just free boosts. Just wish it wasn't a trade evo so I could use it more.

Can we talk about the yugioh card naming conventions? I saw ecclesia and thought, “Ha, that’s a Yugioh card(several cards in fact). But then we got to Naturia Pineapple and I was like, “Yes! My two loves, Yugioh and Pokémon!” Definitely love the context as always. Awesome job and creative Nuzlocke challenge.
