Nuzlocke rules:
Fainted Pokemon must be permanently boxed
Only the first encounter on any given route may be caught (dupes clause)
All pokemon must be nicknamed
Hardcore Rules:
Always Set mode
No items from the bag option in battle (held items are ok)
No overleveling the next gym leader

You know quaquaval is the best starter competitivli because it can setup it's speed and attack with aquq step and moxie
@@godkiller_seriously yep, and then there's Annihilape... ohohoho~ with Berserker's new Rage Fist, send in a weak pokemon with Bullet Seed/Icicle Spear (with either skill link or loaded dice) and watch that damage rise!

I honestly never understood the complaints with Sprigatito, other than it being another quadruped to biped evolution. I love its funny mask, floating flower and magician aesthetic. The only thing that's making me hesitate picking it for my starter is that its type overlaps with Mabosstiff who is just the most precious boy.
As long as it looks good when bipedal.. I'm fine with that.. people just like to complain imo😭

I liked the design of sprigatito but I knew it would likely become a 2 legged cat (nothing wrong with that it’s up to opinion) so I decided against it.

That was such a clean run, I thought for sure you'd lose at least one pokemon to either Kofu, Hassel or Turo but you steam rolled them with relative ease (That double missed Stone Edge was so clutch) , nicely done!
That double Stone Edge miss is karma for all the times you've missed a 95% accurate move in a crucial situation while the AI hits 5 Fire Blasts in a row lol

Meowscarada having such high speed allows it to easily defeat both of the other options in one hit. Plus it is the one I enjoyed using in every battle. 7 crits in a row to beat a steel team. Insane.
Meowscarada has the move flower trick : It inflicts damage and bypasses accuracy checks to always hit, unless the target is in the semi-invulnerable turn of a move such as Dig or Fly.But I just noticed something interesting about it today.
Flower Trick has a base power of 70. It's also an automatic critical hit, which gives it a 1.5x multiplier.
70 x 1.5 = 105
Okay, now let's add STAB. Normally that's another 1.5x multiplier. However, if we Terastallize Meowscarada into a pure Grass type, that STAB gets boosted to a 2x multiplier instead.
105 x 2 = 210
So yeah, this is a busted move that never misses, hits like a truck, and pierces through defenses. Still with me? Because here's what happens when we use it as a super-effective attack:
210 x 2 =420
If it's super-effective, Grass Tera Meowscarada's Flower Trick has a base power of 420.
What I didn’t realize about Meowscarada is that it’s a heavy physical attacker, so night slash was a good add to the move set too. What makes it almost broken is the signature move though. Flower trick never misses and always deals a critical hit, coupled with overgrow and grassy terrain this is a hell of a move for a grass type starter.

The Reason why I chose Sprigatito is that the final evolution Meowscarada has a move called Flower Trick.

Sprigatito is adorable and its evolution line is really nice. Floragato is adorable, probably the best second stage evolution in a long time and is like a Pokemon Puss and Boots which I think was a design inspiration. And Meowscarata is a BEAST The performance and magician theme it has makes it rather unique. AND it has probably one of the best moves in the long time: Flower Trick. A 70 power, no miss, always crit attack that gets stab (and tera boosts too)? So yeah, no regrets choosing it for my first run. Its already one of my favorites since Venusaur.

Also I chose Sprigatito for my scarlet run (started with Violet and chose Quaxly) and god that thing absolutely decimates everything AND has a kickass design to boot

17:00 fun fact: toxtricity's ability not only powers up sound base moves, but also weakens them (torch song is sound based)
That toxtricity survived a +5 torch song coz it had Punk Rock which reduces dmg from sound moves by 50%
i chose sprigatito because I REALLY LIKE its design. Also, I know that it sucks that we got it on two legs but I think the magician style is pretty cool and its move flower trick can be really useful as it always crits and never misses

Anyone else wondering why he doesn't sweep more with Skeledirge? It has an easy sweep on Larry - Grusha, and both Poppy, Larry 2, and Geeta.
My guess for the Geeta Part is because of Lumina Crash + Aqua Jet, if both end up critical hits. But that is quite unlikely to happen.
Perhaps he wanted to play it as safe as possible.
I say so he can make the run more interesting but for Geeta I think cus her first Pokémon has Lumina Crash which makes it harder to sweep her since it lowers the targets special defence harder when it hits everytime and cus if it lives Torch Song it gets a special attack boost too cus of its ability

Calling Nemona female Hop is insulting considering she's a mentor more than a rival in most fights and arguably still let's you win with that last battle since she likely has lv100s. Also, Hop isn't a battle addict and isn't fit to lace chica's shoes.
i have childhood trauma, but it's not related to sprigatito. i've always been a cat lover, and i knew from day 1 that i wanted to pick sprigatito.
i really enjoyed the nickname theme this time around! naming them all after types of peppers was super smart.

Ceruledge is my favorit new mon by far and IT IS so nice to see it Here doing His Part.
And there is the final nail in the coffin. These games are amazing, but my god are they undertuned in terms of difficulty. There are so many points during this playthrough where a pure fire type team should've struggled and yet 0 deaths.
Not taking away from Antlerboy knowing his stuff, just.... Yeah, I dont know many other entries where you can avoid a KO entirely using pure fire.

I like sprigatito's design best and then I basically used Pawmi as my starter until I got Meowscarada with its OP move Flower trick and nightslash.

This is a waaaaaaay better and enjoyable run compared to your dragon run.
Ceruledge is my new favourite pokemon. Not only does it look ridicolously cool, it's also incredibly good. If you succesfully set up 3 swords dances, it's over, especially when you have bitter blade that RECOVERS YOUR HP if this pokemon needed to be any more broken.

Pokémon Violet as a Bird Catcher...I know I am the odd one out here, but I am doing it recently as a non-Nuzlock and it is pretty fun.
Only Rule isn't a typing lock, but an aesthetic one: The Pokémon's body type must look primarily as a bird. Things such as Staraptor, Flamigo, and Peliper would be acceptable, but Golduck, Quaxly's line, and Hawlucha aren't acceptable as they are more humanoid.
Sprigatito (if that is how you spell it) will forever be my favorite starter in v/s. It's just so cute and it looks like a CAT. I LOVE CATS.
