Mollie! In Melbourne, almost all bar work goes through MBE (Melbourne Bartender Exchange a closed group on Facebook). Look it up, request to join, then post with your experience etc or respond to the posts requesting workers. - Jordan
I'm living in Australia at the moment on this visa and just want to say anyone thinking of paying for a company to help you get set up, I would really recommend not doing it. Everything they claim to help you with you can easily do yourself and lots of those companies ask for a lot of money which you could be saving for your amazing travels! :) Also I don't think you mentioned getting a TFN Tax File Number which is essential for getting work out in Oz you wanna get that sorted as soon as you get there :) x
Could anyone please explain what I am supposed to entire at the "authorised person" section during the working holiday application? I do not have any contacts in Australia, so I am not sure what to do.. Any advice would be highly appreciated. :)
Love your youtube and blog! I’m looking to travel the east coast of Australia in November and there doesn’t seem to be a lot of content on what to cook while staying in hostels, especially healthy and easy recipes, do you have any ideas? Could be an idea for a blog post/RUclips?
Still waiting on mine ! It says on my accounting finalised? Does this mean it’s been excepted or will you get a confirmation email from them once this is done ?? ! Also fly out jan 2019
If I want to go in Januray. Can I book mine now and activate it when I want to leave. Or does the 12 month countdown start as soon as its approved. Meaning I should apply in January?
my partner and I have pre arranged our first job when we get there lol, but only because it's very career specific for us both at an equestrian yard in a very rural area with free accommodation and food as well as a good wage and they're picking us up from the airport too, and it's also going to count as our 88 days which is pretty sound.

Apply for your bank before you go.. with commonwealth if you do you avoid monthly bank fees.. I got here sept 2017 with people who are now paying whereas I don't cause I did just before I came. You also need a Tax File Number to work in Australia too 😀
Ooo how come that is? You can only avoid monthly bank fees if done before you arrive? How do you obtain a tax file number and when do you need to do it? :-)
You can just apply for a commonwealth bank account on their website under "moving to Australia " and the TFN from here: www.ato.gov.au/individuals/tax-file-number/apply-for-a-tfn/foreign-passport-holders,-permanent-migrants-and-temporary-visitors---tfn-application/
Yeah I applied through commbank before leaving the uk! Just to add ! You have to pay to withdraw money from any atm that is not your bank. So commbank is the best bet as they are everywhere! ✌🏻
Mollie Bylett just to do with the banks and how they manage to catch Backpackers out who haven’t don’t it before arriving You can only apply for a tax file number once here and can be done online and I’m sure can be done in one of the service centres if people needed help
I applied for my Visa a week ago. Now it says it’s finalised and that I have to refer to messages. Then I got “the applicant has not agreed to receive electronic correspondence for this application” help!!
Applying for mine now, its asking if i've had a health examination. Is this mandatory, how do i go about doing it and can i submit my application declaring i haven't taken one
Can we continue the work for the second year? Or its just a one year program! Any suggestions regarding to stay un Australia after one year work visa? Why we have to change job after 6 months?
Hey, I would like to ask how serious they check the sufficient funds before you enter in the AUS ? I mean does it need to be exactly 5000 dollars? What if its a bit less?
if you don't qualify for a second year of a working visa in Australia are you still able to visit the country on a holiday visa? Also if you currently hold a holiday visa do you have to wait for that to expire to apply for a working holiday?
Is it best to get all my money exchanged prior to travelling? Or should I just transfer money from my own account to my Australian bank account when I arrive? Thanks
Hey I’m planning my trip to aus and just getting some final bits sorted so because of COVID there more turns to fill out but it requires and Aussie address and phone number before I get there so I’ve sorted the SIM card but what address would you say I should put on there? A hostel address I plan on staying at or?
Hello! Was wondering if you need to have the $5000 in your account before you apply for the visa or do they just check that when arriving? Thanks so much this has been such an informative vid!
Hey. I live in Scotland, and currently in high school. I graduate in 2019 and I’m thinking of taking a gap year. I want travel to Oceania & Southeast Asia, but I’m not sure if the stuff I’ve thought of is too much. I want to start off in Australia, and work down the East coast, spending roughly 2-3 months there. I then want to go to New Zealand and do some things there for a month(ish. Then I want to go to Fiji, for 3ish weeks. Then I want to head to Southeast Asia and do Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam & Singapore, travelling around those countries for 2-3 months. Is that too much? Like would I be able to fit all those countries in a 5ish month gap? I want to go from Jan-May, but I’m not sure if that’s too rushed, or too much. Also, I’m a bit worried on the price, especially for getting around places. Do you have any tips for me?
Hi, this video is helpful. I am wondering can a working holiday visa for Australia be purchased just before your 30th birthday date and then you could then enter in the 12 month period after purchasing?
Hey quick question. I own a British passport but I currently live and work and grew up in Barbados while traveling to England twice a year. Am I eligible for a working holiday visa.
hi just one question would I able to apply for work and holiday visa if i have dependable child even though I am applying for the visa alone. The mother will be lookin after the child at home.
on the website it says “not be accompanied by dependent children” so I think you’re good. As long as the child isn’t coming with you to Australia to live with you then you can apply and be eligible
IVe just had my visa accepted this week (WOHOO!) and so I can tell you that - no you dont get your money back if your visa application is rejected - its a standard once time payment for applying no matter what the outcome of your application may be. It will state this on the Aussie Embassy website in the terms and conditions so have a read through before making your applicaiton. : )
I am a Hungarian passport holder wanting to work in AU. Do I need a minimum of 2 years of university done or can I go with a bachelor's degree? I read somewhere that "You must have completed 2 years of undergraduate university study. These qualifications are not acceptable tertiary qualifications: certificates, Senior Secondary Certificate of Education. Is this true?
Hey there, have you got your answer for this? I'm actually wondering about this too. Do share with me if you get the answer for this? Thanks a lot in advance
@@izzyprada6059 I found the answer from another vlog! Once your Visa has been accepted you have 12 months to enter australia, if you dont enter within that time application is voided and cant apply again And from the DATE YOU ENTER australia, you have a further year 👍🏾
Sorry but Christianne is wrong, If you apply for a visa & don't go to Aus. You can reapply after the visa has expired providing you are younger than 30/31.
You can’t sort a job before you leave because you don’t have a tax file number or a Medicare card, no where will employ you where I live in Sydney if you aren’t registered on the Aus database for medical insurance. Make sure you check this stuff out because it will confuse a lot of people.
I've just had my Holiday Working Visa granted and I am hoping to apply for a 2nd year Visa whilst I am out there. I will however be 31 when I am applying for my 2nd year Visa (30 now and will be 30 when I enter the country). Does anyone if I will be eligible for a 2nd year Visa?
I read a lot on there websites, it says you cannot reapply once your 31. only before then.... but your sure you will be 31? cause if you finish 3 months, 88 days of work, you can right away reapply. so maybe if you work 3 months starting right when you get there?
Faye Knox Hello I’m Ernest... if I pay a company about that work and travel program, do you know if the do all the paper staff. For example I want to work in a bar and you need (RSA) to be aloud to work in Australia with alcohol... and if they help you to fined job or places to go
Your australian visa is refusal? Or you are a immigrant? You want to refugee? Why you should going to australia? Because illegal immigrant can have a citizen australia if they want refugee and you can work with 25 Aud for 1 hour sallary its very much And you can buy your food on 15Aud We have a boat to go australia You want this? Please contact us Many job in australia for you
Due to rampant migrant worker exploitation in australia(particularly in farming jobs like fruit picking and hospitality jobs like waitressing), I cannot recommend Australia as a travel destination. If you choose to come to Australia on a working holiday there us every chance you will be ripped off by your employer. Spend your hard earned tourist dollars in another country.
i love working on farms =) never been to oz but im thinking about it and working at a farm seems more appealabble to me then working in a restaurant for example
Going to Aus next month so i found this video SOOO HELPFUL! Thank you ladies x
You posted this at the perfect time 👏🏾👏🏾💜

I have done this as well and agree with you! It is a waste of money paying another company to do these things and they aren't even that beneficial!

Hello my friend

Hi! Do you know if I can apply for an Aus WHV while I'm in NZ? I can't imagine it's a problem if Aus have an evisa.
Hi, shouldn’t you have a job lined up before moving ? Instead of frantically looking for a job when you arrive?
Hello, what camera do you film on and what laptop do you edit your videos on?x
Applying for mine now, its asking if i've had a health examination. Is this mandatory, how do i go about doing it and can i submit my application declaring i haven't taken one
Will I still be accepted if I don't submit a bank statement on the attachments portion of the application?

No one checks at arrival. Everything is prior to the approval.

Yes!
Where do you stay on the first couple of months in Australia once you move. Also how do you get to and from work.
Good question?
Can you take cash with you instead of a $5000 bank account?

That only applies to if you are an Irish or Canadian citizen.

I just found this out a few days ago, i didn't think it would be possible but hear lots of re-applied if they didn't go and were accepted.
if you scroll down to the bottom it telsl you, you can reapply :) www.australiaworkingholidayvisas.co.uk/faq.html
It’s true you can reapply as long as you’re still within the eligibility criteria. Mine was accepted.
