This is so useful thank you! Heading out to Australia in September and need to do my rural work, so this is really helpful :)
Your videos seem to be the absolute most helpful of any that I've seen so far. I live in the US and I'm wanting to get a working holiday Visa and basically do what you're doing, and then continue to travel the world. Thank you!
This is so useful havnt seen an other videos where it's broken down like this thankyou!
Ok your vids are saving my sanity right now!!! This is exactly what I needed to see!!! **thumbs up**
Karen Walters Good to hear Karen! Glad you find them helpful!
PsychoTraveller Hi, great vid. One more question, do you have to complete the agricultural work before you turn 31 or you can I have already started my farm work aged 30 but turned 31 whilst doing so? Would this be eligible for second year?
Important information for those who just watched the video for informing. Volunteer work and wwoofing don't count anylonger for the second working holiday visa.
Thanks so much for all the info. Very helpful x
That was a great clip. Lots of helpful stuff. Thanks
No problem! =]
It's always a pleasure watch your videos!they are very helpful.and you're such a pretty and funny psycho!!XD
I'll arrive in Sydney next September willing to start a very long journey around the world.
I thank you for all your videos!!good luck for your next adventure, and I'll see you around!
Very helpful video! Thank you
Hi! are there any other travel info/travel vlog channels like yours that you would recommend? I can't get enough of your videos and I would love to watch more videos about traveling :)
FunForLouis, Hey Nadine, JacksGap, Kristen Sarah, Mr Ben Brown, watchbbbtv and Nick Pak are some of my favourites :)
I’m australian and my bud managed to get an electrician job ‘on a farm’ so theoretically you can do other jobs that count but they’ve got to be closely related to the farm for example a truck driver working for a farming delivery business.
it might be 19 hours in the est coats but over here in the west it could be up to three days from Perth before you even get close to the farm/station
Started to watch your videos after you poped up on some web site about this topic and your videoes are really helping out on making this feel easier to do.
After just one day i feel like i want to something like this and are therefor wondering how much planing do you need to do beforehand, im not good planer since i always rush on to do tthings...
Ace video again! I am looking for work with animals out there. I have experience so I hope I find work :)
Thanks! I love your videos, and I've found them incredibly helpful! I do have one question, though: do you have any suggestions for finding work, north of the tropics? Americans can finally extend their visas, but the catch is that, with the exception of the Northern Territory, all work must be north of the Tropic of Capricorn. This restriction is making it really hard for me to find work, as a lot of the farmwork seems to be in Victoria or New South Wales. A lot of the station work on Gumtree also lists experience as a necessity, and I haven't had any responses to my ad, for a month. Sorry, for the wall of text.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Hey Aly :) another awesome video, was just wondering if you knew whether there was a "season" for outback work as a farmhand rather than a fruit picking :)
Really grateful videos, moreover you re so beautiful...keep continuing...!
In Victoria try Vine buses and trains as well there pretty cheap and trust me I know cause I'm an Australian.
thank you beatiful, this is going to be my first year so I am really lost, wish to find a 88 days job right away!
I’m about the head down to SA to work on a dairy farm. I’m nervous cause I’ve never worked around cows before :/
Interesting watching from Uganda
Right, I have now set my budgets for how much money i need to save for my trip etc. But i do not want to plan my trip from home, How do i plan where to stop whilst over there, Will all the hostels be fully booked?
Do you have to do your 2nd year straight after your 1st year? Or can you go away and see other places and then come back for the 2nd year in a few months/year? X
+Hannah Spain your 2nd starts automatically from the date your first year visa ends. You can leave the country but your 2nd year visa will still be running.
i heard you just need 13 payslips from the one employer, regardless of days you have worked. but with a note from the employer saying you worked every day available
like it!!
I’m hoping you maybe able to help my friend and I are looking to come out next year, we are saving quite a bit of money just so we are comfortable. We are going to start doing fruit picking first with our working holiday visa so we can get granted our next year visa. What part of Australia would you suggest that’s good to find this ideal kind of farm/fruit picking work? After 3 months of work we are going to travel from east coast all the way down for a few months to Adelaide. When we arrive at Adelaide we will be looking for a sponsorship or something more serious to stay they more permanently, I’m a hairdresser and my friend is a carer. Would we need to go to more Rural parts of Australia to achieve these sponsorship rather than the city centres?
Hope to hear soon, looks beautiful
Great!
Hi, great vid. One more question, do you have to complete the agricultural work before you turn 31 or you can I have already started my farm work aged 30 but turned 31 whilst doing so? Would this be eligible for second year?
Americans are now eligible for 2nd year visa
Can you undertake rural work for an extended period of time? For example 6 months as opposed to 3?
What was the name and where was the farm stationed that you worked? I'm really wanting to do what you did.
I have lived on a farm my entire life and I really want to get a working visa for Australia when I' out of school. Is it alright to work at farms the entire time?
Thanks
Hi, what farm did you work at?
Hi, That was a great clip and very helpful advice.I have 2 questions about *what happens by the end of the second years visa ,as a skilled engineer can I find out my favourite job and carry on living in Australia?
*what happens if I rich the age of 30 or 31 by the end of the second years visa, can I still carry on to stay ?
Thanks .
Hi. You took your rural work from the west side? What were the company called you went with, can we contact them directly?
Looks like I cannot apply 2nd WH visa, b'cause I would be 31 on that time. I understood age limit to this 2nd WH visa is same 18-30.
As you were working and living on the farm did you still met other backpakers? i've heard people saying that it's great to live on the farm you work because you don't spend money on anything but at the same time you don't get to meet other people.. is it always like that?
Thanks for this video!! I just would like to understand a thing... I don't have a lot of time so I would like to do the full-time 88 days. Do I have to stay on the same farm for that or I If stay 1 month and have to change (because they don't have work anymore for exemple) and do 2 months right after is that still the full-time or is it casual? (Hope it's clear enough...) Thank you!!
+Playlistelo2 Yep, you can split it up between different places :)
did u get charged for ur room n meals at the farm? if it yes, how much did they cost. thanks much appreciated
do gain access to australia during your first visa, do you need to have 5000AUD regardless & is this always checked!?
whatsthestory it is never checked as far as I’m awear
Do you have to travel around Australia on a working/holiday visa or can you just stay in the same place with family and work too? Like In a shop or something?
shaun T It's totally up to you! You can stay in one place and work (but only for 6 months with each employer) or you can hop around and travel all over =]
So when is the best time to apply for the second year visa?
I am Master Degree graduate in electrical engineering and applied for skilled immigrant visa which is valid for 18 months however i have no idea of what visa u apply for and how did you apply for that? Thanks in advance @Psycho Traveller
4:35👍
I will be heading to Australia on a working holiday visa in September and have enjoyed watching your videos in preparation! You mentioned that you were making about $80 a day at the place you were working at, which on an 8 hour day would be $10 an hour. Do all positions pay a similar amount to this? I've heard of people getting paid over $20 an hour for a serving job and am wondering if that is true or not. If not, I will definitely have to budget differently!
Hi Ashley I am going to Australia too for a holiday visa in September. We should look into farm work together:)
$20 per hour is what you need $10ph is way too low to survive especially Sydney
due to recent changes wwoofing will not count towards your second year.
They changed it for Americans you have to look it up but we can do two years now
David Madera Thank you! This is what I was scrolling through comments looking for ! I freaked out for a second because I’m here now and planned to apply for 2nd year. 🙏🏽

I am a vegan looking for fruit picking full time? Cant find any full time work that doesn't involve animals? Can anybody help please?!
lizziedoubleh Same here. I'm vegan and I'm also applying for a working holiday visa and will, most likely, be doing this rural work aspect to stay a second year. I'll take any job at all that doesn't involve exploiting animals.
+Hugo Dominguez there's shit loads of fruit picking jobs all over oz
I love you
Nobody ever ,ever says the weekly net salary🙄🙄
Hi! Im heading out in December! And my dream has always been cattle or sheep station work. I want to sheer a sheep! Its bordering on obsession... I know you gave pointers on how to get outback work.. but any chance you know any good sheep stations or cattle stations by name that I could contact? as I wanna head straight in there... and would help getting the flight to a certain city to begin with If I knew of the best spots ;)
Thanks in Advance
Sonia
Please am
How old are/were you?
I'm a bit confused. do you need 88 days of farm work, or does the visa last for 88 days
You need to do 88 days of farm work only IF you want your second year working holiday visa, i mean ... It depends on you if you want to stay for another year or not..
you give me visa I will go from kuwait my country Bangladesh me working inside kuwait thanks my name SHAHALAM
Hi! nice videos! I hope you can help me.. i'm arriving to australia on april 2016 with 25 years old and an agricultural engineer career finished. Have you heard of any one with this kind of qualifications who finded well payed rural work? I'm concerned... thanks in advance. greetings from Uruguay
+Santiago Regueiro one more thing: i'm applying to a work and travel visa ******

Your name
its so stupid that USA is not eligible for second year visa... i mean why would Republic of Cyprus have this possibility?? or Estonia?? some unknown countries with 500 people, like seriously..
thats exactly why cause people like you create an image that americans feel like they are better and more important than others.
Its agreements between countries. if you are not happy go complain with your embassy.
You are the reason the rest of the world dislike Americans. Total brats.
you are very helpful. wanna go for a drink?? 😊
please help me i am 35 year old can I apply this visa is am living in Austria Thanks
For most of the Western Countries with these types of working holiday, you need to be from upper-class, high economy countries that have agreements with each other. Where are you a citizen of? And even then it's if they pick you as well for the working visa.
It depends on what country you're from, funds you bring and citizenship held. You maybe too hold for most of the working holiday's countries have around.
Americans are not eligible for for more than one year???
