  • Yes, I know. I always told myself I wouldn't do it. I would work as a picker of some sorts. I guess as a backpacker you have to keep an open mind and embrace which ever comes your way. So yes, we did it. 3 months of tomato picking. I will let you decide if it is truly as bad as they say !

Awesome video! I’m doing my farm work on a hops farm which is really hard but I can relate to everything you showed and talked about! Subscribed, can’t wait to see more!

some advice--wear washing up gloves that go to your elbows or otherwise cut the end off long socks to wear on your arms--the tomato leaves will make your hands and arms stain green and takes forever to wash off. Did this for 8 months solid in Gundagai, Bundaberg and Ayr. Hardcore but made some great friends back in 2001. We didnt have chairs like that--just crouching down and walking along!!

Nice video. Can you explain more, like what process you need to do to work on the tomato farm and how you got to the location?

    128.000 kg * 0.18 cents/kg / 22 people = 1047 AUD.. After tax ~ 840AUD per week
